Favorite non-System parts for space MOCs?
Space Police XVIII replied to murphy_slaw's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=98589 makes a halfway decent missile or drone body. Technic panels are great for curves, like you noticed; Bionicle armor shells can also work. https://flic.kr/p/TmUW6V For that matter, Bionicle wings are good, and the bones/shells are great for mech building. Also, welcome back, congratulations on turning back to the Light, or something like that- 1 reply

LEGO Ideas Discussion
Space Police XVIII replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The discussion is more entertaining than the set! At least we might get decent parts out of it. -

Some Bricklink vendor out of Taiwan had a few for sale. All sold out now. -
Pirates of the Carribean 5 Sets Discussion

Captain Jack Sparrow With Bacon I kind of like it. -
Lego is ALL greebling. Example, take a look at the early airplane sets, compare them to more modern brickbuilt aircraft, let's ignore the ones with the huge molded fuselage bits. Engine details, nav lights, a windshield with room for a pilot and a control panel, all that is greebling with a named purpose. Building my space junk I do the same thing, making up technobabble as I go along. This here long bit's part of the hyperdrive system, inside needs an air plant so here's some box with ventilation grilles and trans-green accents, and so on.

Neat. Nice touch, with the fender bits on the sides.

Space Police XVIII replied to SheepEater's topic in Culture & Multimedia
And it just keeps going, metal people are elitist as hell. So what's good? post the last couple songs y'all's done listen to. a decline in student quality has driven this man to drink
Space Police XVIII posted a topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I'm calling this thing a T-70 advanced trainer starfighter It's not really supposed to carry all those weapons at once, but many varied systems must be made available, because trainer. The latest wannabe Space von Richthofen has giant pink hair that barely fits into the forward cockpit at all. Tsk... Here's a better view of the cockpit area. Windshields and bits are designed to come out easily, granting cockpit accessibility and a great look at the extent of the instructor's problem. This image shows the weapons selection, and the fighter unarmed. I think it looks much better without deadly pointy bits poking out in every direction. Bit naked though. There we go, a nice balance between too many guns and none at all, also another view of the cockpit area. Hey what happened to the preview post button? heresy count: 4. The missiles on the left wing are from an old Tyco set, with two more pieces used for engine mounts. Thanks for looking! Merry Christmas.- 1 reply

Neo Nexus Force - battle cruiser 70816 MOD and support fighters
Space Police XVIII replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Looks great. Sure. Looking forward to seeing it finished, in bricks. The design is great, nice turret on the back, and these guys don't get enough attention; they make an excellent alternate space faction.- 5 replies

I will cut you Though for some reason I can't remember anything past the black album. I think they broke up or there was a plane crash or something. -
neat lineup! Hey, FYI. Gudi makes airtanks in light bley. I've got a few, they're good enough to pass for Lego.
-
I like it, especially the cockpit and beak shape.

Technic 2017 Set Discussion
Space Police XVIII replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Can I get somebody to talk me out of my love affair for 42065 I don't know much about Technic or PF at all. But I've been wanting to build a simple remote-control tank for a while, and that's 90% of it right there. -
This is great, both the idea and execution. I think a fourth future/space corner would fit in nicely.
-
Damn it, I didn't even notice! It's the other guy's fault. nice job on the second version. :D
-
Nice. Now the Chuck Norris version, please!

What's with Lego and 4 arms?
Space Police XVIII replied to Takanuinuva's topic in General LEGO Discussion
More arms is always more better! this piece holds arms like it was designed for it. It wouldn't shock me if it really was. -

[MOC] Dodge Charger in the Speed Champiosn style
Space Police XVIII replied to hachiroku's topic in LEGO Town
The rear half looks too much like the Camaro. I'd suggest removing the spoiler and making those curves on the back longer, and maybe two round taillights on each side, it would fit the 1968 model if I remember them right. The front's perfect though, it looks great. -
Truer words have never been spoken. Great mech, too.
-
I'm guessing Brickforge discontinued it for looking a little too Nazi? Your best bet might be buying the current ones, cleaning them up, then getting custom stickers printed.

Sometimes I take a moment to cover the pips/molding marks/whatever they're called.
