Whats the rarest/oldest piece of Lego you have in your collections?
Space Police XVIII replied to The Architect's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I was wondering about that!I've got a single waffle-bottom plate that's pretty old, and some helmet visors in gray and white. That's about it. -
Nice scene and nice poses. I really like that hand truck.

Do you have a favorite brick color?
Space Police XVIII replied to talos's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Old Dark Gray. I mostly work in gray and sometimes a very light black. -
It's both very inhuman and very expressive. Great job. Nice on the two vehicles, too. Those trans-red pieces work very well, where are they from?

A baseplate. One of those painfully Classic Space things, a round landing plate sort of thing. It might just be the perfect CS accessory. My stuff immediately looks so much more legit. Like something from a Lego catalogue.

Procrastinating...

I mean, hello! Sorry about that. Silly typo. The keys are all so close together. So, hello, finally I decided to stop lurking and register.. this looks like a great community, and GREAT for inspiration. Anyways I'm sort of putting together a new Space Police theme. Here's a preview, a basic cruiser. I think I'm limited in how much I can upload and post, so interior and detail shots, eh, I'll post them later. :)

I don't know what to call this thing. Speeder bike? Maybe, but it's supposed to be space-capable.. any suggestions? Lego had a 'Space Speeder' in set 8400... maybe that.

What he said about the shaping! Nice use of those wing/tail pieces, too.

Who had a better colour-scheme? Blacktron 1 or Blacktron II?
Space Police XVIII replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Completely blacked out? I think you're right, that would look better. And here's another argument in favor of black-on-dark-gray, the gray was a little unavoidable in this case..- 21 replies

Who had a better colour-scheme? Blacktron 1 or Blacktron II?
Space Police XVIII replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
The pilot raises his opaque visor... still can't see anything! WHAM, right into a planet! Thanks. :D It's not actually my design, but the Invader, set 6894, somewhat modified. And I wish I could see yellow that way.. I can't get over it. The new Town Center set has a Lego store, with two Lego employees in yellow shirts. All I can think is, they're wearing the skins of Megablocks employees....brutal..- 21 replies

Blacktron III - color scheme / ship concept
Space Police XVIII replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
The trans-orange bits really look out of place here. Aside from that, looks great. I like your changes to the build, and the color scheme works really well. -
It's hilarious and a little scary, just how well that minidoll works with mohawk and armor. This is awesome.

Space Police XVIII replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Blacktron I. No contest. Except... does the yellow bother anybody else? I mean, that's skin tone. That's like me buying a Porsche and painting the doors pale Slavic pink. Me, I settled on black and dark gray, with transparent accents.- 21 replies

My first minifigure: post your story
Space Police XVIII replied to Mr Meleca's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Whoa, thread necromancy. But it's a good thread. Here's mine. One of these guys is my first minifig, out of set 6882. I don't know which one! They both survived in surprisingly good condition. Still in service, as fighter pilots. -
How I restored 80's minifigs from my childhood
Space Police XVIII replied to Kalais's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Nice job on the restoration. That driver could really use a new helmet.. the castle guys at first glance look brand new. -
This is a standard patrol car.. space car? for my Space Police force. It's the first thing I built with play features in mind. So... the roof detaches easily for cabin access. Interior shot showing the controls and accessories: pistol to the right of the pilot, handcuffs to the left. The rear is cargo space, or prisoner transport. It's occupied at the moment. Top semidisassembled to give a better view of the interior. That space in back is pretty bare. Pilot, prisoner, accessories. Without a prisoner, those extra cuffs are left to just rattle around in back, make lots of noise. This provides an incentive to arrest someone as quickly as possible, promoting good police work!

Space Police IV and onwards, of course! Seriously, SPIII was underrated and cut tragically short.- 451 replies

Cyber-punk Dystopia / futuristic models - OCTAN space tanker + asteroid garage
Space Police XVIII replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Nice character and write up. :D And that car. One of my favorite things from SPIII and I like your take on it. Only thing I would change is, mount the forward wings lower.- 15 replies

Nice colors on this last one. Very classic American truck, I've always liked those massive rolling boxes. And yeah, please. It'll make building them a little easier than going from photos.
-
Spot on. These are the best Lego semis I've seen, I really want to build one.. Though, I think, if you're going specifically for American semis the cabs should be four wide. Every conventional I've seen has a narrow cab, about as wide as the hood, which then widens at the sleeper. But that wouldn't look as good.

You're under arrest.
Space Police XVIII replied to Space Police XVIII's topic in Hello! My name is...
Thank you! I WAS wondering about the attachment limits.. all right. :) I'll switch over to something else.
