As long as we get those hands from the Mr. Freezer Mech in more colors, I don't care if Nexo Knights continues or gets replaced. But yeah, I'd hold my breath for now, I think it's still too early to be absolutely certain about this.

Star Wars Constraction 2018 Discussion & Rumors
ZORK64 replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I'd prefer a regular Battle Droid over the Super variant, but I'm nonetheless happy that we get another droid build in the theme. Also, I wonder what kind of blue the set will use - I can never have enough blue parts. -

Damn, and I thought I'd be able to resist updating Vader, but that picture alone makes me want him even more. -
I got only a few Ben 10 sets relatively late on sale (2 IIRC, Big Chill and Spidermonkey), and while I like the claw piece they came with, I hadn't really gotten around to utilize the other parts of the theme. I remember that I was initially turned off by them due to the limb pieces being one solid piece, as it clashed with the visuals of the then-current Bionicle sets. To be honest, I often actually forget that I own them in the first place, even though I'm pretty sure I could get some pretty nifty MOCs out of them if I mix them with CCBS.

I seem to recall white powdery marks from some of my late Bionicle sets (Glatorian), but no issues with the recent joints.

Star Wars Constraction 2018 Discussion & Rumors
ZORK64 replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I just looked on the German Lego Shop, that's the first time that I actually get a proper look at both Fett and Vader. Boba Fett was already a sure buy for me because I like him, but Vader is also seriously tempting. He looks very cool, and he apparently also fixes the one issue I had with his first release (the cape). -
That's the reason I want to see them happening. I think the archaic humor of the Orkz would translate well even into Lego, just make it a tad less gruesome.

That looks pretty amazing and was definitely worth the wait. I have to admit that the finger at the bottom looks a bit odd due to standing out from the rest of the hand, but that's only a minor nitpick.

Star Wars Constraction 2018 Discussion & Rumors
ZORK64 replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I bought the first Darth Vader and the Imperial Stormtrooper as display pieces, which is something that seldom happens for me when it comes to constraction (the only other constraction figure that I don't intend to take apart for MOCing is Lil' Ekimu). I got Blaze and the Praethorian Guard with a price cut for their parts. and while I also think that the pricing could be better, I'm not too bothered by the same-y builds of these sets (though I would appreciate it if they would also incorporate more unusual builds into the theme, just like they did with General Grievious back then). Also, just like Lyichir already mentioned, it's very plausible that the SW Constraction sets are simply more popular with kids. When I was still in an age where I actually played with my sets rather than putting them on my shelf, I would've certainly loved stuff that would allow me to cross Bionicle over with Star Wars. -

That's a pretty cool frame, and I like how many different MOCs you managed to achieve with it. -
Star Wars Constraction 2018 Discussion & Rumors
ZORK64 replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Going by the stores I frequent in my region, it mostly depends on the sets in question. Some of them did sell rather poor, others however are doing very well. Gotta have to agree on the pricing though. The Bionicle Sets had more smaller parts for functions and such, but were not as pricey as the SW folks now. -
The pitches for Nexo Knight villains are amazing anyway. I really want to see the Cyborcs, but the other pitches are fantastic as well.
-
Yeah, that's most likely not Lego. But it looks very interesting, so I'd be curious to find out what it is as well.

That's some pretty interesting parts usage here to create such an armoured look. Overall great work!

[MOC] The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild - The Lost Woods
ZORK64 replied to Dardanel's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nice MOC! Actually, the deer isn't really tied to the Master Sword - so the deer "guiding" you to it was more of a funny coincidence. -
@Lordofdragonss Which panels do you mean?

Star Wars Constraction 2018 Discussion & Rumors

I almost forgot about this guy already again, but now I'm looking forward to him. I passed on Jango back then, but Boba is a favourite of mine, so there. -
I just took a look at the review for Axl's Rolling Arsenal, and I must say, this set looks a bit underwhelming to me. For one, I feel the tank itself is a tad too compact. I initially though it would expand even further into the back. Furthermore, it looks really empty once you remove both the drone and Jestro's vehicle (which looks also rather blocky). The lack of a rear wall doesn't help here either. On the bright side, the overall shape is still cool, and I like the flip-out side-panel blasters.

Didn't TLG featured Space themes alongside with Star Wars in the past from time to time? Or did that only happen when Star Wars took a break?

I think that mostly depends on the design of the space theme. Lego's own space themes are usually dominated by their amount of trans-neon stuff IIRC, which is nowhere as common in Star Wars sets. It also helps that Nexo Knights combines it with a knight theme, which also helps to distinguish it from Star Wars.

I'd be also in favor of having traditional castle alongside with Nexo Knights, as that would allow the latter to take an even stronger sci-fi approach, which I'd love to see happening.

I like the Protoss vibe of Lance's new vehicle, but my opinion on the gold parts hasn't really changed.

Thanks for the hint, I didn't knew they were already fair game. Okay, I guess the set in question is 70639 Street Race of Snake Jaguar, right? The blades featured in this set look big enough to work in Constraction as well, but I also think it doesn't has to mean anything. Their design looks non-descript enough that they could also be used in other sets - it also doesn't help that we don't know what kind of design language TLG would go with in the case of a new constraction theme. Let me put it his way: I don't expect a new constraction theme happening just because of this particular piece. But I wouldn't be too surprised that in the case of a new constraction theme that said piece would be used there as well (Plot-Twist: Even in constraction, it will be used as a helicopter rotor).

Thanks for the links. I actually remember the EXO Force sword, but like the majority of this theme, I didn't got any of its sets. Looking back, I kind of regret this, mostly because I'm pretty sure many of these builds would make for great templates for MOCs, especially now with all those new sweet parts in the constraction area. @TwistLaw Could you PM me a picture of this supposed leak so I could get a look at the sword in question?
-
Could you provide links to these pieces? Because I think I hear of them for the first time.
