Hope i'm posting this in the right topic Don't know if this past the revue sometime allready. I'd really like to see a return of the Lego Technic Figures. With all the Ambassadors here and avid Lego fans i'd really like to know if this would be a possibillity or even if it is wanted. I mean What if: Star Wars Technic Tie fighter with Technic Figure TIE Pilot. X Wing With Technic Figure Rebel Pilot. Technic Figure Storm, Snow, Sand- Troopers. And i just use this as an example, the possibilities are as allways with LEGO, endless.... I would absolutely love it, and buy tons. But what do you think? What Does TLG think?

Lego Universe - RIP?
BasOne replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I think abig part of it is that you can only buy subscriptions online with a creditcard, no paypal or other options available wich really sucks. Not every adult, like me, has a CC. Add that you can buy gamecards in only a very vew and select stores, for example, no store in the Netherlands carry LU gamecards, not a single one. You lose players after the free month runs out like that. That's not even too far fetched. They could make 'real' Lego sets of things in LU, like the big spider thingy and add a months subscription to it. Or a part of pirate cove with stromling pirates and an admiral the possibilities are limited by LU content. I want a real Lego lvl 3 Engineer -

Licence? Licence? Who needs a licence when you got a LEGO movie coming in 2012..... http://lego.movie-trailer.com/ But with Indy 5 and PoP 2 i think those lines will continue for a while. As for a new theme/licence... mm difficult I'd love to see Mass Effect LEGO (Also movie coming 2012), most likely... The Avengers i think, allthough a new western theme would be cool.

Which is better, Star TREK or Star WARS?
BasOne replied to vahkimetru's topic in Culture & Multimedia
True, except for Voyager, that did do landings. But there are other factors to weathering then just atmosphere, like micro meteorites, debris, nebula's and corrosive gasses, and Starfleet ships certanly did go through a lot of that. True true, but that just makes my point. The budget for a movie is a lot higher, if you buy 1 Enterprise model for $10.000, you're not going to mess it up. George Lucas blew up several X-wing and TIE models for the trench run. Where the budget really is showing is with the Aliens, Trek: Humans with make-up, Wars: Animatronics, Muppets, Humans with more expensive make-up. Just saying that you have to look past the outward apearances of Trek and Wars For me Wars is better as it has a lot deeper and richer story that goes further then just the movies. Reading a trek book i'm reading a new episode of a series, reading Wars books i'm reading another trilogy of movies and more. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures display cases
BasOne replied to BigDumbWookiee's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I just put em up against the wall. Don't really have room for display cases. Series 2 and 3 complete now. -
I think TLG hit the jackpot with the collectible minifigs, they are sold by the bucketload, especially to AFOL's I think i bought over 250 sofar and with atleast series 4 and 5 coming i think i'll double that easily. Collectible buildings and the like are allready available but very expensive.

Which is better, Star TREK or Star WARS?
BasOne replied to vahkimetru's topic in Culture & Multimedia
The whole shiney vs. not-so-shiny isn't that important to me. Federation: Shiny beacon of enlightenment. Empire: Harbingers of doom. The 'used' feel of Wars vehicles does ad a sense of realism though. But that can be put down to production costs. It's cheaper to use a CGI pristine looking Enterprise in a 1000 different shots over a whole series. Voyager did take a beating in the far off Delta quadrant it did look more and more weathered as the series progressed (not by much but still). The budget for a movie is many, many times larger and you can pay more attention to detail you wouldn't bother with in a series. The new (now on hold) Star Wars series suffers from being a bit too expensive at the moment, i think in part because of the high CGI costs. -
Which is better, Star TREK or Star WARS?
BasOne replied to vahkimetru's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I like all Sci-Fi. From Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, V, BSG, Caprica, Andromeda, LEXX heck there are so many But choosing between Wars and Trek there is one main difference between the 2 that attract me more to Wars then Trek. In Wars everybody can buy a ship and fly to another planet, and i do mean everybody, run down beat up 2-4 person spaceships can be bought from any 8th hand spaceship dealer. In Trek all spaceflight is tightly controlled, either by the Federation or other species respective planets, you want to go to another planet, you have to book passage, you can't buy a ship. Ofcourse there a couple of exceptions, there allways are, but too few to mention. To me this gives the Star Wars Universe just that much more freedom we'd all like to explore the galaxy. The busy spacelanes we would see around a major starport in Wars, you wouldn't see in Trek, even DS9 was relativly quite. -
