    Hero Factory 2012

Oh. I was told "Gold" was expensive. Thanks for noting my gullible-ness. Now that I take a second look, you're right. But I still don't understand the like for Breez. Unnecessary rockets, 1.0 feet... Ugh. The fact that they might touch the head in certain posses, of course. I don't get how you don't see that. Oh. I didn't think of that. How the heck does Kopaka Nuva's head look anything like an Hau? Ok, maybe it does now that you mention it, but I never thought so. No similarities to Thunder at all? What about the metallic colors, finger-ish things, bulky, meteor launcher and dare I name more?

    Hero Factory 2012

My reaction: O MAI GAWD (In a good way.) In fact, I gonna write a realllly long comment. Heroes: Gotta love 'em. These might be the best wave of Heroes ever, tough I don't really like the fact that Breez, Surge and Furno use their 1.0 helmets. I just hope it's a placeholder until the finished stuff comes out, but it's really unlikely. Anyways, I really love the action figure sized cuffs, although I doubt they would work properly, due to their shapes, but I'm probably wrong. I really like the new hero core, as it doesn't seem to have those ugly lower thingies that I never liked. It's kinda funny, because in the first version, it was long, second version shorter and third none at all. And by the looks of things, it doesn't seem to stick in place anymore. (Unless it's double peg-ed.) That's a shame, because I really liked that concept where the armor piece holding it has a special...Shape.. For fitting the cores. They don't seem to use the chestplate piece any more, which is another shame. The new boxes? They are awesome. I was really getting tired of that stars canister. It also seems easier to fit in shelves, which is good news for box collectors like me- I am really running out of space. The new pieces really interest me, especially that upper thornax launcher piece. My dreams of a new launcher is true-(Kinda.) I'm not sure if I like the sphere-ish armor piece, but a new piece is always welcome. Those new shield pieces are really amazing, and it looks helpful for hive-ish things. Now for separate critics: Evo: The head is my favorite of all of 'em. It looks like is supposed to be a 1.0 version of his 2.0 head. I am really disappointed with the fact that purple is now gone though. Ah well, I guess LEGO couldn't have 2 expensive colors in one theme. I really like that one side bulky and one side skinny concept. Breez: Looks like the worse of the heroes. She looks non-femine more than ever, and those mini rockets are really ugly, and the same thing with the 1.0 feet. I mean, is that even necessary? I'm guessing Lego did that to make her look femine, maybe it works, but it is a pain to the eyes. By the way, does she have another 1.0 feet in her back or is it just me? Wait... Could it be? Back-coverage? By the way, those to who are wondering, her swords are not new. I believe it has been used on a Exo-Force set once. Furno: Oh yes. I really like that under-water theme. Turbines, pipes and all..... I really like the new white added into his color scheme. The only thing that I don't like, is, that spear thing on the launcher. It doesn't really fit. Surge: Good enough for my eyes. Gotta love that blue weapon. Although, the villain "Core" piece sticking out of his shoulders worry me a little. Rocka: OHHH YESSSS. Trans-neon thornax launcher piece? LOVE. Bow-ish launcher? LOVE. Medieval concept? LOVE. Ammo clip? LOVE. Can this theme get any better? Now for the villains: More non- humanoids? YES! They really have gotten creative with the villains this time. Sharks with fists? Midget corroder? Bugs with only two legs? Awesome. Fangz Jawblade: Shark with fists? Awesome. This is like, the best shark in LEGO history I've ever seen. Still, it has flaws. Toxic reapa: This is the most flawless figure I've seen in a long time. Transparent armor pieces really see useful for me, and those system tanks really impress me, of course, I've seen people that doesn't agree. Splitface: Meh. Another thunder. Thornrax: This is my second favorite villain of this line. He looks flawful, true, but the design really impresses me. Besides, look at those pieces! Nice insectoid head, Gorast wings, and Waspix's piece that is used for his extra arms, and orange spikes. Wait did I mention: TEAL TEAL TEAL TEAL TEAL TEAL TEAL TEAL TEAL TEAL... Black phantom: AHHHH! Another Fire Lord? Actually, I was expecting another Fire Lord like I said, but this is.. I actually liked the spikes on Fire Lord's head, but this? I mean, LEGO, can we get a big baddie that's not humanoid?

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jetslandingboard/BIONICLE/2007/barraki.jpg Anyways, I checked the prices, and it seems like the big baddie won't be bigger than Witch Doctor, which is a disappointment for me. I'm expecting another Fire Lord design by the looks of the price. (Another disappointment.)

    Review: 2283 Witch Doctor

Welcome to my first review in Eurobricks! I'm a beginner with reviews, so don't expect much. I'm nothing compared to skilled reviewers like Brickthing. By the way, sorry about the bad quality, because I took these with my phone. Anyways, let's get into the review, shall we? The Box. Well, there it is. The box is a little bigger than I thought. I thought Lego started shrinking boxes? In the background, you see a bunch of animals (Most noticeably yellow Raw-Jaws) , and some temple. And he's standing on a tree. The lime green really stands out. I like it. In fact, it was so bright, that it was the first thing I've seen in the LEGO aisle. Maybe it was my hunger for the sets, I don't know. Let's take a look at just how big is this box, shall we? I think it's about twice the size of the hero canisters. A little too big for my taste. Also, the titan box is somewhat wider, where Aldy's box is taller. The back of the box includes a little comic explaining the story. Witch doctor, gets call, the heroes gets upgraded, then they fly into the in-torture Quatros. And yes, curse you, tape. Yes you. Stuff. Keys. Parking lot. (Sorry about the orb of light.) But I didn't buy this for the box, right? Well, no one does. The Instructions. Pretty much the same thing as the box, except no numbers, wider, pages, thin- forget it. Random page Inventory Yeah. But I didn't buy the set for bunch of pages giving you orders either. The Set. First of, here's the Hero Factory exclusive parts: Plenty of large skeleton pieces, those... Things, 4 corrupted Quaza, 2 wing/claw/pincer/tusk pieces, and plenty of white. Interesting parts: Gotta love that quaza. It's tinier than I thought though. I'm also in love with that white mahri tube and the white Ben 10 tail. By the way, to avoid any confusion, some of you are wondering where are the red tubes. Well, it's available as a extra piece. I chose the white ones because it gives a rib-ish effect. Here are some of my most favorites: I really love these things. In fact they are my favorite new non-mask piece, second being that paw piece. And the star of the show: Man, this thing is so awesome. Looks WAY better in real life, I promise. And much thanks to Front, who engineered this wicked piece. The Build. Well, let's get started! Body: Side of the body: Back: The thing I don't like tough, is the fact that the back is even more exposed than the heroes. Or atleast that's what I think. Legs: Side: I didn't know this until I actually got the set, but Aldy here has chicken legs. (For those who don't know, Aldy is short for Aldous, Witch Doctor's real first name.) Back: Attached to the body: Starting to take shape here. Arms: I hadn't realized this, but it looks pretty devil-ish when it isn't attached to the body. Back: Attached to the body: Now for the weapons: The amazing staff. I wish it was a little longer, tough. Thornax launcher Clawed meteor launcher: Looks like the best one yet. Only if there was a other version of that clawed piece, where it doesn't have those boosters, I would like it even more. Now attached those weapons and the head, then boom! Alright, there is the finished model. That... Is alot of flaws. but, the model is still fairly impressive. Before I start the critics, let's do a size comparison. Will he be a midget compared to other figures?: "O hai thar, midget." Not yet. ..Noope. You know what, forget about the midget thing. Final thoughts Articulation:7/10 The articulation is pretty average, except with a little amount of limitations. Playability: 9/10 He's big, can control your critters, has a launcher thingy, spikey, and awesome. What more can a kid ask for? Appearance: 6/10 Looks pretty nice, just don't stare at all the wacko parts or you'll go "WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?" Swooshability: ?/? Color scheme: 8/10 Good enough for me. One of the rare cases where the red axles don't stand out. Just don't like the random gray, but what can you expect for a titan set? Price:10/10 Worth it. Trust me. Overall: 40/50 I'm not sure if sharp-criticizers like Aanchir would agree, but that's my opinion. His mask has the word "Awesome" all over it while his body has "Meh" all over it. But If you have 30 bucks and don't know what to buy, this is the set. "So much good!"

    Review: 2283 Witch Doctor

Whoops. I never said you designed the set. Nevermind. Excuse me for being so stupid. And to those atleast-two-paragraph guys, Witch Doctor technically DOES have eyes. The red connector piece serves as the eyes in most front angles-how ever, you cant's see it at all from the side (Duh?) and I tried taking all the pictures with the eyes so that people would know that he actually kinda has eyes.

Sounds like we'll be getting a bunch of toxic/radioactive/mutated villains.

I guess I'll start writing then. By the way, did anyone notice the new Savage Planet trailer on LEGO.com?

Yay for Recon update! By the way, Brickthing or some other admin, are you going to do Doc's review? Because I have the time to do it this week, and if no one's going to do it I'm gonna go for it.

While I was searching for Savage Planet information on Google so I can see when Savage Planet airs on TV , I clicked every search results, desperate to find out information. I came across some site about TV shows, and it had a section called "Earliest air date" and it said August 28 . Is this some stupid unofficial date or real? Because on Lego.com, it said Labor day. Maybe in some other country. I'm just gonna surf the TV all day tomorrow, then.

Heh, there it is. Just what I expected it to be. One of the craziest things in the world I ever seen.

    Superheroes 2012

....Ughh. Are you kidding me, Lego? I really don't understand the people that actually says that it's good. All of them look NOTHING like their original counterparts. I'm sorry, but these are just..... Crap. The only thing that impresses me is the recolors. Atleast it's not replacing HF.(Hopefully.)

There's more than that out there- My korean friend says that there are ALWAYS clone brands on stores called "Invisibility robots" and "Super bots" and some more megablocks (Just noticed that swearing turns into the word megablocks. ). Anyways, I checked Toys r us yesterday if they had the new sets. They did, but when I tried to buy it, the scanning screen thingy says: Item does not exist. Had a frown in my face all day then. Happened to anyone else?
  16. TheRedGuy

    Hero Factory 2011

Seen that before. There was a new korean guy in my class and we became friends quickly. Then he invited me over to his home to show me his collection, and he had all three of those. He also had all the 3.0 sets somehow.

Can Fangz' head fit on a 2.0 Hero Head?

Nope. Buuut, since it dosn't fit because of the front part of the head piece, how about trying elavating the rods on the helmet? for example, with two clips/robot hand ? Sure it would be fragile, but atleast it would fit in.

    MOC: Protoss Zealot

Nice MOC!I like espicially like the hair. Don't get your hopes up on LEGO making those kind of themes- They would NEVER make such a violent theme. Ah, let's not get too leaned into Megashit, shall we?

I believe you mean Fangz. Am I the only one that notices that the skull on his staff isn't on its usual place and is instead floating beetween the spikes? By the way, when Aldous laughs, his staff is glowing blue. (I'm sure you all noticed this)I don't want to release my crazed thoughts, but... THAT'S VON!
  20. TheRedGuy

    How do you recycle canisters?

Done the same thing you did, except he stared at me a little, then he said "I'll do something." I don't throw them away anymore tough. Plenty of space in the attic. By the way, I don't think it belongs here.

    Review: 2145 Stormer 3.0

Nice review! Now do the same with Aldous. (Doc) Even tough he has not much new parts, I'll be getting him because I must complete my Stormer collection.

    Hero Factory 2011

When we first saw the descriptions, it said he wanted to drain the energy. Not just "Quaza get". And I don't think they're trying to keep HF from being dark either, just watch Fire Lord's hand get ripped off. Like Aanchir said, How the heck is Fire Lord related to Hero Factory? He was just some mining bot. He related to Stormer tough. Which is obviously going to happen to Aldous again. You know, like he once trained stormer? Actually, it's a Ben 10 tail. Not saying it wasn't used in that set tough.

    Review: 2282 Rocka XL

I think he got it from LEGO. If true, I thought you couldn't make reviews till' June 1st? Anyways, Rocka XL might be an large improvement from Fire Lord , But he's rather sloppy and like you said, unfinished. I prefer Aldous more.

Skrall is a s.... I started collecting action figures way too late.. I noticed that on BZPower it said there is going to be a one hour special in 2012. Maybe HF is going to end soon after all.
