General Magma's Star Wars Figures
Lord Embo replied to General Magma's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Nice work once again with your Force Unleashed characters. Kota is the best IMO, even if it is rather obvious where the decals were applied. Oh well, that's a small flaw that can easily be worked around. Lord Embo -
1)Same here! I can finally prove my MOCing abilities. 2)I suppose. Just look through your parts, look at reference pictures of the place in question and see if you have the necessary parts. I'm doing Azkaban. Good luck in the contest everyone! Lord Embo

Which is your favourite upcoming Lego minifigure in 2011?
Lord Embo replied to commanderneyo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the reminder; I haven't watched the episode Lock appears in for a while, so I must have forgotten about his name somewhere between then and my previous post in this topic. Lord Embo -
My apologies. I forgot about that. Perhaps I should report them next time. On another note, it's great news that you're back. Lord Embo

Am I allowed to do Azkaban? If I am, I will enter this contest with my recreation of it. Lord Embo

Who wouldn't be disappointed if Battle Packs were removed? Like I said in my previous post, I blame Hasbro for the gluing of magnet packs and really annoyed if they force TLG to stop making Star Wars battle packs. The battle packs are fun because they're a good way to get awesome minifigs cheap. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that Hasbro don't stop battle packs by suing TLG. Lord Embo

Brilliant pictures once again General Magma! I especially like the "Grow a tree for The Empire" shot; good use of a small bit of bark. The bluish tinge is a nice touch as well. Hope to see more photos soon. Lord Embo

Unlucky. Search around on the Internet ASAP; prices will probably skyrocket very soon. Lord Embo

Where are your manners? People aren't very likely to do your request for three reasons: 1) You haven't specified what you mean by front. 2) Your reference picture only shows the character's head and not the torso(I assume by front you mean torso?). 3) You haven't used very good manners. People won't fill out requests when people say: Give me this, give me that etc. Please and thank you are essential when requesting a decal in this topic. Lord Embo

New Lego Exclusive 10217 Harry Potter Diagon Alley
Lord Embo replied to GRogall's topic in LEGO Licensed
That may be true Geertos13 but some YouTube reviews are from adults who are experienced with reviews like most reviewers here on EB. Also, kids do come on this site, pretend to be adults, and post reviews of sets where they just say stuff like: I like this figure, this is a big set, this can make something go flying, this can rotate etc. To be honest, they aren't very sophisticated by posting rubbish reviews that no one is ever going to look at(picture review) or watch(video review). In short, you can have kids proud of their new set on EB reviewing with the same amount of primitive, repetitive language as on some video reviews. Kids can easily get onto this site and get away with it and is what I'm also trying to say. Lord Embo -

If you want it to be a Horn Company trooper, then for you it is one. Remember, minifigs can be anything you want them to be. So if I wanted to, I could say that's one of Gree's troopers. However, I won't. I personally want it to be Eeth Koth's Commander(can't remember his name). Sorry for the off-topic. Lord Embo -
Er, Xenophilius Lovegood's house from Deathly Hallows part 1? Or is it Diagon Alley from Half Blood Prince? I mean, is it the House of Parliament in London? Lord Embo

New Lego Exclusive 10217 Harry Potter Diagon Alley
Lord Embo replied to GRogall's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thank you for agreeing with me! Personally though, I do find video reviews far more helpful(generally) than picture reviews, as the former shows off functions as well as the set itself, whereas the latter just shows off pictures but makes it easier to see small details. I'm sure a review will pop up on YouTube soon enough. It is also essential to know what is included in the set(and generally the price) before buying it so you can compare it to other similarly priced sets and know how much money you're going to need to be able to buy the set and pay for shipping, since you can only get it off Lego.com. LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion

I found sealed packs on EBay from an American seller and as they aren't released yet in the UK, I was wondering: when are they available in the UK? On another note, this series is the best one yet IMO! The Fisherman looks great, can't wait to get this one. The rod looks good but also difficult to make. A fish is a good piece, especially if you like making camping MOCs and your people are meant to be eating fish round the campfire. The Pilot looks pointless IMO, you could already get most of the parts that come with it, and it doesn't come with any accessories! He should've at least came with a gun. The Indian Chief looks pretty good; I'm loving that headpiece! IMO, this and the series 1 Tribal Hunter hint at the return of the Indian theme. The Samurai looks pretty good, especially the torso and his body armour. We don't need yet another katana sword; I've got enough of those from the new Hagrid's Hut. The Snowboarder looks pretty bland minus her snowboard. IMO, this and the skier from series 2 hint at a Winter Olympics theme, or at least the return of the Sports theme. The Cyborg(or whatever you want to call it) looks pretty good, especially the face and the torso, which has a Blacktron symbol on it, which is actually rather surprising. The Sumo Wrestler looks like . The copper trophy is nice though, it's always good to get some of those for your collection. The Mummy looks stunning! It has printing everywhere(I hope, except for the back of the head) and is just a job well done by TLG. However, they could have made it a slightly yellowy colour, like bandages on mummies generally are when they are rediscovered after 5000 years. The Elf looks like a literal work of art. The shield looks marvellous, the bow is a sweet new mould and the hair with moulded ears is just brilliant. If only the ears were flesh, then I could put the hair onto Draco Malfoy and make him into an elf. The Tennis Player looks pretty good. It has nice detail on the torso and that hair is really useful for a number of things. The tennis racquet is just a brilliant piece that I hope to see more often. The Race Car Driver looks pretty bland as well. A printed helmet is a nice touch though, and one that I will always welcome with open arms. Also, it has hair! I always enjoy getting minifigs with interchangeable headpieces, and this is no exception. The Gorilla Suit Guy looks really good, but isn't my personal favourite. The head beneath the mask looks pretty cool, but the mask is more interesting to me than the head itself. Also, we get another banana! The Alien looks like one of the better minifigs in series 3, but also isn't my personal favourite. Too bad the head is just a recoloured Squidman head from the Space Police line. The golden ray gun is nice, but the short purple lightsaber blade is even nicer. IMO, the torso is the highlight of this minifig. The Hula Girl looks pretty cool. I like the grass skirt, but it's too bad the wreath of flowers that goes around the neck is just printing; that would have been a nice piece. You can never have enough maracas and the printed hair is really, really nice. The Rapper looks unbelievably amazing, and is my personal favourite of series 3. The hat is a nice new piece, another microphone(in gold) is always welcome in my collection and the boombox is so amazing that I am simply lost for words! The leg printing is just as brilliant, and will prove really useful in MOCs. I will probably get about three of this minifig. The Baseball Player looks really nice and is a welcome addition to anyone's collection. The hat is a cool new piece(but not as cool as the Rapper's) and the baseball bat is a long awaited piece that will prove really useful. Now all we need is a golf club. Note that I do not own any of these yet, but will get all of them, inspite of what I have said above. Hopefully they look even better in real life than they have in pictures. Lord Embo -
I hate Hasbro nearly as much as Megabloks! No wait; I actually hate Hasbro more! Since when do Hasbro have the rights to sue Lego for making minifig packs? I'm sure TLG would have had permission to do this from Lucasfilms. Hasbro weren't happy, and look what happened! No more minifig packs! 10 years(11 next year) later, Hasbro aren't happy about TLG's magnets as they are more or less minifig packs, and look what happened again! No more removeable magnets, and it's all thanks to megabloking Hasbro. Sorry for this rant; I am just absolutely furious about this decision, and it is essentialy Hasbro's fault when you think about it. *EDIT* 300th Post!!! Lord Embo

I meant to say generally younger fans, but it slipped my mind at the time. I admittedly did find the Santa Hats and Tow Death Star extras amusing, but only for a very short period of time. Lord Embo -

Especially Bill. His figure is done very well and is very similar to his appearance in Deathly Hallows part 1. Lord Embo -

I think that feature was in the game just to add some hilarity to it for younger fans. Lord Embo -
General Magma's Star Wars Figures

Hopefully your next minifigs are just as good(or maybe better) as Savage Opress. What figures have you got planned for us in the near future? Lord Embo -
I second that. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and have rights to complain when they don't like something. Everyone does it. It's more or less instinctive. End of rant. Lord Embo

Great indoor shot AoNZ! That bluish tinge hides the fact that there is a lack of a Felucian background. Great work at catching this scene from Episode 3 with such simplicity. Lord Embo

The release of this game and the Lego line coincide with the release of the 4th movie next year, so I personally don't think it is a mistake putting levels from all 4 films into the video game. Lord Embo

Why not do Crabbe, Goyle, Walden Macnair(Buckbeak's would-be executioner), Amos Diggory, Barty Crouch Junior and maybe even Cho Chang in your next minifigure series? Also, why do you absolutely refuse to make Remus Lupin? Lord Embo
