Now that we are talking about lego guns, does any-one else find it odd at legos choice of gun design? They dont look all that star-wars-esc in my opinion . I think they should use those for OT sets, and release a DC-15 rifle and blaster for the clones. Is it remotely possible for that ever to happen?
-
Ohhh, I see, I'll give it a try.
-
Thanks fallenangel. The technique you've recommended for the pedals is a good one, yet I'm not sure how that would be incorporated into this MOC . What did you mean with the modified 1x1, could you clarify?
-
No your not. Anyways, I think that head is pretty funny . Kind of eerie too. I wish some of the mandos came with some waist-capes/pauldrons. That would be awesome . I think I'm gonna skip this one though.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Does anyone have a picture/Know where an online one is, of the AT-TE interior? The book of vehicles has a good picture, but I cant find that one online anywhere. EDIT:Sorry didn't mean to Quote. -
Thanks for commenting Brickdoctor, you actually were my inspiration to do a BARC, and yours is one of the best , I'm happy to get advice from you. The transition from singe stud, to double stud, is going to be a real challenge . Do you have any recommendations? I'm gonna start brain-storming soon.

Thanks Kieldaman, I agree it's small, I think I'll use this one in my mygeeeto,(coming by February). What the biggest challenge was, was reference pics. I built the whole thing off 4 pics. My goal is for my next version to have twice the size of this one. I think for my next one I'll use characteristics from the AT-TE because its well documented. Thanks for your comments everyone! EDIT-Progress: Second version is almost done, almost doubled in size, and interior detail. Little to no armor gaps as well.

Standard lego plastic if thats what your asking, Shak Ti will be like Ahsoka, saesae is probably just regular TLG plastic.
-
I agree.
-
Thanks for commenting, I agree the armor is a bit gappy. In my second version i'll make it longer and fix the armor. As for stability, it actually holds pretty good, the base has two 1-16 bricks running down the plates, which keeps from bending, and breaking. Also the whole thing is modular, keeping it together, yet open-able. Thanks for your insights guys!

I have been fantasizing about when the series will make the armor switch, that would mean phase 2 clones in the BPs, and other sets. wouldn't it be amazing? I also think we WOULD get 501st clones, because that legion is the most seen in the show!

The clone brands discussion...again
BrickArtist replied to Superkalle's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Heres what I think of when I think of clones and non-clones. Brick-forge is NOT putting lego down, a company producing minifig hair, weapons, and a small amount of simple bricks will never compete lego, it needs lego to survive. With no lego there is no brickforge, brickarms, or custom shop(they dont mass produce simple bricks). Mega-Blocks, however, mass produces cheaper, lower quality bricks. They make minifigs, simple bricks, wheels and stuff like that. Most custom shops have a primary focus, arealight is star wars, brickarms is guns, and Brick forge is medieval weaponry. Arealight is the only store that is closer to a clone brand, they make minifigs from scratch, using lego dimensions (I still love area-light though). What it comes down to is weather or not the company needs lego to survive. Custom shops and non-clone brands do, while mega-blocks and clone brands dont. -

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

When i see "commanderneyo" and "credibility" in the same post when I'm skimming i lock down, seriously, enough, not another rumor, ever, again, ever. Back on topic: I think the inspiration for the crew of the t-6 is the team that fought Opress, notice in a sneak peak we see all these Jedi getting a hologram from delta squad. -
This set isn't THAT bad, as everyone says it is. I think the head has quite a few uses, the helmet could customized for an arc pilot, (Giving those who got the latest arc 3 regular pilots) the astromech is pretty sweet, and last but not least who DOESN'T want more simple bricks? The more variety you have in your collection the more things you can build! In my mind, bad Lego sets don't exist.

Hey, at least it came with the whole astromech right?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 poll
BrickArtist replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Lego has raised the bar, we'll have to wait to find out about quality, but these all look great. Not a single fig I wouldn't want a ton of. I especially like that we have all 3 trophy colors now. Great Job lego! -
MOC: my own Castle advent calendar
BrickArtist replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow fantastic! What a challenge it must be to create an amazing looking castle with all those windows. Great MOC -
Nice job, and congats on tackling this difficult speeder. The back looks good, but a little fat (This is something every BARC MOCer struggles with). Its hard to get the blasters, engines, and armor panels right without making it about 6 studs length wide. The slope a the very back is a little long as well, it is the right shape though. The beam down the front it to big, you might be better off using only the 1x6 smooth piece that's on top the 1x8, and removing the 1x8 studded piece altogether. The very front looks great though as well as the engines as the back. Hope i haven't offended you, I'll be posting one of these soon too, so feel free to bombard it with criticisms . Will we see a second version? Great job I'm a conformist!!

Well we also see how far along the death star has come, the frame is already in place. That had to have taken a while right?

Very nice MOC darth yogi! At-rt looks great as does the skeleton. The whole scene feels very alive which is an important quality for the action-packed battle of Utapau. Great job!
-
Do i have to comment? All I'm going to say is that the name Derfel Cardarn is an icon of some of the best historic MOCs of all time.
-
Nice LDD you got there, the major flaw is showing to much baseplate, lack of bricks, plates, and plants makes a moc look kind of flat and bumpy. What i would do is first put down two bricks so Voldie and harry are level(the red and green trans is a great touch). Then build around those with more bricks and plates for a more alive scene. This is a great start, and a great moc! I hope i didn't offend you with my advice though .
