Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Exetrius replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
If everything were always available, this thread likely wouldn't exist. I tend to think of B&P as gold digging; sieving through heaps and piles of dirt in the hope of finding a few little gems, I think it's kind of exciting that way. Btw, "out of stock" is just a label. This has been discussed before, most likely it's a strategy to initially sell more sets to the impatient, then after a few months make them available and sell more parts to people that crave them after the long wait. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

I went trough many sets across the whole width of 2020 sets and what I found was that nearly all new pieces seem to be listed, but they are out of stock. I'm not an expert on new recolours of common parts, but it seems these are not available yet as well. Here's the exceptions I found: Some may not be new, but I personally didn't see them available before. -

Looks like a cool little set, and the spending mark is finally at a level that I'd be considering ordering something. -
Yeah.. sure...

@Peppermint_M Congrats! Obviously this is off-topic, but the article raised two questions with me: who calls it "CrackLink" and who is still angry about the bluish greys??

Thanks for the link! Very nice layout

The use of those dome pieces is ace indeed, never seen it done before despite the numerous steampunk I've seen over the years! Also, that's a nice fence. Any pictures of the full layout somewhere?

I read this with pleasure, great work, Kai! Another valuable contribution to the meta of GoH! I've written a lot for my personal saga, but I didn't have any writing-technical theory to guide me, so now I'm quite curious how I did back then. Guess I'll read it from the beginning once I continue the the story.

I noticed it yesterday in the Dubai Skyline too. :) -
First things first: this is extraordinarily beautiful, I simply love everything in sight! You have outdone yourself with this one, no question! You said in the video that anyone with a bit of feeling for colours and composition would be able to build something like this, but do they? These "anyone"s are quite rare it seems; I know very few lego castles as wonderful as this one, scenery included. You are awesome, this is a masterpiece! Though the techniques may not be the most advanced, it sure as hell takes a master to spatially unite so many components (castle, houses, streams, trees, terrain, paths, etc.) cohesively in one build, not even to speak of the execution of said components individually or the vision required to imagine this! Anyway, not gonna lie: I was actually pretty pissed when you posted this on Flickr as a Mitgardian build. Your description here is more.. eh, refined? Guess that's not the right word, but at least now I can get behind how this would even exist in Mitguardia. I respect Mitgardia's large biome diversity, but I still think this would be better suited for Nocturnus. You hit that vibe so hard, I was initially convinced this was @Blufiji's second take on The Reach (the Goblin capital in the south), before seeing your name under it, just saying. It's your decision where you locate your builds, of course. I do want to ask: do you have any Nocty builds in the pipeline, in these dire times for the Guild? In any case, keep on rocking!

Yes please!

@Jacob NionThat's very well said, Jacob, I wholeheartedly agree. The community must remain independent, always.

100% agree with this!!

Missed opportunity.

Guys, there's a custom Kai skin in one of the Minecraft sets!

Bear cavalry. That's the password for this comment section, right? Seriously, that's the way to display military power! The risk of going all-out on a story. The first half I read two weeks ago, and now I've finally read the second half (not because I got bored of it halfway, I simply ran out of time that day!). Very good story writing, it really drew me in! You did a fantastic job tying as many stories together, and also deliberately avoiding setting things in stone too much. To be honest, I disliked the idea that all great recent threats to the guilds of Book II were simply all part of an even greater scheme; just puppets dancing to the will of an overarching power, however I read some parts again and it seems like that was in part my own interpretation. This is what I'm mostly referring to: Now I see that the phrasing is a lot more subtle and as such open for interpretation. My interpretation would be that The Enlighted were sowing seeds of chaos wherever they had an opportunity to do so, and were monitoring how those developed (eventually beyond their control) and shaped Historica. This method makes perfect sense considering the centuries-long lifespan of elves, too! As far as the builds are concerned, it is clear bricks nor effort were spared in building them, populating them and animating them! All grand! The council room really has that back-room feel you are going for in the story, which I think in part is due to the octagonal setup with towering bookshelves, which btw are really detailed. Bonus points on the lectern! I like the part-intensive tables in the Golden Goblet and the candles on the wall. I have to agree though: the empty pool room is the main attraction, wow man! The architecture is just right, and the textures are perhaps even better. The solitary statues, the overgrown corner, and most of all the broken raised dias really bring about the atmosphere, but perhaps just as important: you've been able to capture that haunted beauty of the place in a single shot. From experience, I think this whole thing must have been a massive undertaking; from building, script writing, getting everything photographed, and writing the topic. Congrats! You've really shown what you are worth here, and I can only look forward to you future builds!

I think Medium blue. Right, I missed the dragon head. It's a pretty cool piece, and has a more convenient size than the original from 2011 that it is made to look like. Also, the big tree leaf pieces in lavender in one of the trolls sets are new recolours. They will nicely complement the smaller leaves that have already been released in that colour. It does, lol. -

Thanks for clarifying! We can always MOD the sets a bit for back to back connection. He is a set designer, that's a fact. Many sets are designed by more than one person. I'd say there is a chance that he's involved, at least. -

And a centaur body.... in blue. More exciting: trans red and trans purple lightning bolts! -
Holy shit, that is strikingly accurate! Really the only thing missing are the black stripes going down the arms. Also, I think Lloyd's bike in the Velocity racers set has a very cool design; not like the numerous mediocre bikes that the Ninjago theme has seen. For some reason it reminds me Drome Racers, perhaps it's the combination of the blades creating a cockpit and the use of the oldschool-looking Spike Prime wheel, the tire recoulored in black with a white rim. Btw, Cole's mech has knees as well!

I had initially missed it as well, thanks @Lyichir! -
I'm familiar with neither the Toronto subway, nor the Dumbo train. I'm not well-educated when it comes to trains, not at all. I think I know four famous trains: the TGV from Thalys, the Shinkansen, the Eurostar and the Orient Express. For me, the Dutch NS trains are also iconic, but that's the extent of my knowledge. Anyway, remember that pirate head that was leaked, and we thought it might be from the Ideas Pirate Bay? It turned up in a city set (which doesn't mean it can't be in the Pirate Bay, of course):

LEGO Friends 41397- Mobile Juice Truck introduces the bamboo and large bush pieces in lime. I know lime is a bit controversial to use in castle builds, but can be useful in fantasy. 75270 - Obi Wan's Hut makes the tan dome readily available again, and 75271 - Luke's Landspeeder has a nice new cloth piece for Luke: -
2020 images are being published, so far I've spotted new hairpieces in the following sets: (75273 - Poe Dameron's X-Wing Fighter) (41391 - Heartlake Hair Salon) (41394 - Heartlake City Hospital) (60248 - Fire Response Helicopter) (60245 - Police Monster Truck Heist) (60246 - Police Station) In addition, there are new hairpieces in at least tow Ninjago sets, but the site doesn't let me copy the images so I'll post links to the sets: pics are up: 71708 - Gamers Market 71112 - Temple of Madness So far, I count two new moulds (one for SW, the other for Ninjago), all the others are recolours! Way to go, LEGO!
