    Murder at the Tavern

The rooftop looks great! I'd recommand using more plates to replace bricks in the walls, also try some more SNOT techniques, in general. Good start

    Lego Ninjago 2016

This is pure speculation, but wouldn't it be interesting if Nexo Knights maybe we will see some cameos, similar to UA, in the theme.

    Windmill

Whoah! This looks bonkers, in a good way! I guess the rooms (at least one) should be related to the mill function. I am curious to see more of the 'Windlands'

    [MOC] Jedi Archives

Your FP fooled me too, I thought your creation was much larger! Nice artifacts on either side, those (holocron?) archives looks absolutely fantastic, very complicated and high tech look, love it

    Lego Ninjago 2016

That Lost Temple set sounds quite interesting, especially when keeping in mind everything will be printed! If the Snake Showdown and the Lost Temple are indeed Ninjago sets, what kind of variants would they include? Still praying for some Elemental Masters...

I really like the interior; nice, smooth and detailed
  15. Greetings Terrowin! Nice introduction build, necromancy fits in perfectly well in the Nocturnian Guild!
  16. Hi all, For my 100th post, I will show you a MOC that I made quite some time ago, in February 2014. First some pictures, thereafter I'll give you the story behind it. Time for the story. When I started building this, I had a few goals in mind: - It had to be a home for my 4 Ninjago ninja. - The inside had to provide them with a place to eat, sleep, meditate, train and store their weapons. - The inside had to be accessible - It had to be sturdy enough to pick up without it being attached to baseplates. (I achieved all of these goals ) This was my first attempt at a building with two wings (and single attempt to this date), also the first time I put this much thought in the needs of its users, the way it is used. On top of that, it was the my first building that was for the most part closed up (except for the middle section, but I'll get to that shortly). All things considered, this build is an important piece in my MOC portfolio. Back then, I was really proud and satisfied with this monastery. How I look at it now: The roof is not SNOTted, it shows almost all studs. I don't think it looks so bad on the tower in the middle, but I do think it looks somewhat ugly on the wings. The interior is obviously very simple and not very aesthetic, but the studs serve their purpose: to put minifigs on them and maintaining playability. I didn't show the back side for a reason: it looks ugly. I think the front makes up for that. I'm still proud as ever of the middle section . The colours and shape are still nice, but the technique I used to attach the 'head' of the tower to the lower level is still special to me. Bonus pictures: Thank you very much for viewing, opinions and tips are always welcome!

  19. Though I have read the explanation, do you still dare to call this 'human'? Just too OP to be a believeable character, imo. Also I think the head is inappropriate for GoH. Btw, Onicius will be a very strong wizard, but the difference is that he is specialized in one type of magic with many applications, not a kind of super human.

    The Final Battle

Wow! The forced perspective is especially well done!

    Historica Husbandry (Minichallenge)

Sounds like a fun challenge, would be my first GoH challenge too. I'm looking forward to the entries!
  22. First of all, I am just very happy to see something physical of Lego Universe , thanks for that Dorayaki! Isn't it ironic: the LU trailer back then said "Answer the call!", so we did and we entered a wonderful realm. Nowadays, TLG purchases licenses of shows, movies and games which are just unknown (to a certain extent) to most of today's children, like Back to the Future, Ghost Busters, Doctor Who, Big Bang theory, Wizard of Oz and Portal. After the fall of LU, we have been the ones to call out, yet our call hasn't been answered! Why can't we have LU characters? There are differences between the target audiences of the aforementioned licensed themes and the LU one. Those licences are running on nostalgia, a great advantage is that they also appeal to a non-FOL public, which indirectly leads to more AFOLs. However, if you haven't seen the movie/show or haven't played the game, the sets are quite unappealing. That is certainly not the case with the bulk of the LU characters. LU minifigs won't bring in many new AFOLs, but they will undoubtedly appeal to children. Adding those children to the (desperate) LU fanbase, we can conclude: Target audience: no problem! The fanbase isn't satisfied with similar characters, we need the real deal, right? Producing characters that already exist in digital Lego form, proven to be much-loved by a sufficiently large target audience, how hard could that be? Well, the sheer amount of 'new' molds is the biggest obstacle. 'New', because all the ones that we want, again, already exist in digital form. Admittedly, a lot of them will probably require some adjustments to reach TLG's standards, but still: it's cheaper than designing something from scratch I suppose. Those highly detailed molds will be more expensive than the average detailed 'accessory' mold, judging from the marketing of complicated, detailed molds in the CMF line, Ninjago and Ultra Agents theme, this won't be much of a problem. Production at an acceptable price: no problem! Speaking of marketing: in what form should the LU characters be released? Dorayaki has pointed this out already: TLG has missed every single opportunity! They made sure that LU embodied as much existing themes as possible, yet they didn't let LU show up in later themes! I don't think the fanbase cares much about the type of product in which they come, may it be a Minifig series, a single set, some battle packs, a whole theme or a selection of cameos in other themes. At the time, a CMF probably wasn't an option and nowadays, it isn't really an option either. It would be confusing and alien to the young (and therefore probably largest part) of the hypothetical target audience. A stand-alone set including all five faction leaders would appeal to a very broad audience without a doubt. Think of: the LU fanbase, kids, the non-die-hart LU FOLs and maybe even some former LU players that are not FOLs but interested due to nostalgia. As for the rest of the characters, one could think of battlepacks, each including the most popular 3-4 playable characters of the faction. The most wanted NPC characters can be distributed as cameos over various sets from other themes, for maximum profit. Opportunities: plenty! Someone should design a proper LU set for Lego Ideas, start a petition and have this topic read by a few influential TLG officials Please answer our call! some of my personal favorites: Keep up the good work, Dorayaki, and the rest of the Lego Universe fanbase!
  23. Onicius prologue part 1: The village raid part 2: A merchant's knowledge part 3: Meeting a wizard part 4: 'Sand man' Part 5: Making a move Onicius ran like never before. Over his shoulder he saw the golem that was persuading. It reached out with it's big, spiked hand of stone to crush him. He thought he was done for, but suddenly it froze. The glow in it's eyes disappeared and it's body returned to a pile of cobbles. From behind the pile rose a dark figure. Under his hood was a faceless dark mass, he carried a staff on which a skull rested, his thin arms and legs barely visible in the mist that shrouded him. He spoke: "Looks like I need a new soul for my little golem, ahah, I see a volunteer! Don't be afraid, let me show you my skills of the Fourth magic type, beware, it's only a little... erm... Demonic, mwhahahah!" Everything in front of him started spinning. In a flash, he saw his own body lying on the ground. Then he sat straight up in his bed, sweating and breathing heavily. It had been a dream! Apparently, it was (still) evening. To his surprise, Elia and Nerocarsus and his mother came into the room. The two had informed his mother about his talents for wizardry. Eventually they convinced her to allow him to join them, and a few others, on a rescue mission. Nerocarsus spoke: "We need you, Onicius. There is no time to explain everything here, we have to make our move!" Onicius quickly grabbed his staff and combat clothes, kissed his mother goodbye and opened the front door. On the street before him stood a big cargo carriage. The coachman gestured them to board, they departed silently through the village gates, into the nightly desert. Five people sat in the back of the carriage: Nerocarsus, Onicius, Elia and two other man. In the middle stood a chest, on which a map and a burning candle rested. Elia began his briefing. Elia "Yesterday, your village was raided. The guards on duty had been wiped out, children were taken away. As a wizard and an acquaintance of Nerocarsus, I think it is my duty to help you. Though I saw the invaders from a distance, I was able to recognize one of their mages. The group we are dealing with has raided several Khaliphlinian villages before. They kidnap children, which, according to stories that I have heard, are forced to fight each other to death to entertain a rich Nocturnian landlord. The battles are held in an arena, located near a village somewhere in this mountain range (points at the map) close to the Khaliphlinian border. That is where we are going right now." Nerocarsus "If everything goes as planned, we will arrive at the edge of those mountains in the afternoon. The road is long and not very comfortable, but try to get some rest. Oh, almost forgot! Onicius, these three man, including our coachman, are the village's strongest warriors." Rambar "My name is Rambar, it's a pleasure meeting you!" Muremo "I am Lieutenant Muremo of the Eastern Khaliphlinian army. My superior gave me permission to be in my home town for a few days after we heard what happened. Sadly, the army ignores these 'small incidents', "civilians should deal with those" is what they said. So that is exactly what we are going to do!" It was early in the morning. Onicius, still a little drowsy, made his way to the front of the carriage. He pushed some load aside and was greeted with a spectacular view. "Aren't they beautiful, the South Nocturnian Rakath Mountains?" said a familiar voice. The coachman turned out to be the blacksmith, Buras. Buras "Please take a seat next to me, Onicius." Onicius "Thank you sir Buras." Wow... I didn't know Nocturnus was so beautiful, I... I could live here! Buras "If it weren't so dangerous, yes indeed, me too!" To be continued.... in the final part: Battle at Carakath Bonus shots: Thanks for viewing, C&C appreciated
