LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
MartinCliffe replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I may be one of the few, but I like most of the elements in this. They'll add nicely to what I've already got. But then I display my sets in diorama form, not on a shelf or in boxes, and Hoth is my favourite battle. I wish there was at least 1 more Snowtrooper included, but this is still on my "to-buy" list. Just only one (I have two Ewok Villages) -
This plus the plain Phase 2s from the Micro CTT / Advent Calendar

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
MartinCliffe replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Other than Stass Allie and Storm, have there been any female LEGO figures "of colour" produced at all? I have yellow, white, green, blue, light flesh, but nothing in flesh, medium dark flesh, or reddish-brown beyond the two mentioned. It's good that their male minifigs are showing a bit more diversity, but they need to catch up with the female ones! In terms of the sets, having missed all previous Turbo Tanks, that's a must-have for me - good to see the video, although the interior looks smaller than I was hoping for. The others I need to see in more detail (although I'll probably end up picking up most of them). -

I'd rather have a non-UCS Finalizer. Something of 75055 scale would be ideal. -

This is awesome. Don't play the game, but I love the scene you've created here. Nice work!- 48 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Me too, but to prevent people sharing about the legitimate canon sets at the expense of non-canon made-up stuff just seems like bad PR to me. LEGO and Disney / Lucasfilm have shot themselves in the foot so many times recently, it's amazing they can still stand up. -

It seems LEGO doesn't understand that literally nobody cares about the sets from the new show, it's the Rebels and TFA sets we want to see... -

We don't know any details other than there's supposed to be a Rebels set including Ahsoka, but it isn't one of the general release sets seen at the Toy Fair. Nothing is known yet about Rogue One sets, AFAIK. -
(MOC/MOD) 75082 TIE Interceptor and Rebels-style RZ-1 A-wing
MartinCliffe replied to bootz's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Fantastic, I love the Interceptor. I bought a 2nd 75082 to make into a TIE Advanced, but with the new set coming out, I might mod it into an Interceptor like this. Very cool looking ship; great build!- 8 replies

Disappointed to be getting another Gree instead of a different commander / clone with the CTT (I already have two AT-APs), but otherwise I'm very pleased by the reports from Brickset and others. I'm likely to be skipping the LEGO animation sets unless they blow me away, but everything else ticks the right boxes. I built a recoloured blue / white X-wing already, but I might modify that to be another colour (I also built a red / black one) for interest. Interesting (in a good way) that other than BB-8, Rey will be the most common TFA figure, considering what other toy lines did... -

That's gotta be a typo. £79.99 would be more realistic. Want to know more about the minifigs though! -
It's just a white telescope (64644), lbg bar with clip (48729) and white & black light covers (58176). The black ones are pricey though.

Reminds me I've been meaning to use my spare net from the Ewok village on my Rey's Speeder set for a while. Thanks for the inspiration to get on with it :)

Here's hoping. Rebels has so much interesting stuff in terms of characters and ship designs. It's a shame it garners so much negativity among those who grew up on TCW (but who conveniently forget that the first season and a bit of that were rather slow-going too). Also, a chance of 2 waves of Rogue One sets is good, then another September Force Friday in 2017. Works for me! -
Is it ever? I got 9 FO BPs (and 4 Resistance ones), and Bricklinked another 19 stormies. TFA is proving expensive! Just wish the FO Battle Pack came with an extra stormtrooper instead of one of the other guys (preferably the one with the silly helmet, as we got those in other sets)

Yeah! This is great. So much better than the original set. Now you've got me tempted :)

Good review (and you certainly don't need to worry about your English!). Unfortunately this reinforces my decision not to buy this set. Expensive, not much in the way of unusual parts (I could probably build 90% of this with what I've got in spare parts) and lacking in substance for the sake of play features. I Bricklinked Maz and Kylo, and I'll only pick up the set if I can get it on real discount later in the year.

Gave up on waiting for Amazon to ship, so ordered a Resistance Troop Transport from Holland, as well as another Resistance Battle Pack and a Wookie Gunship Microfighter. That'll be it now for my LEGO spending until the next wave - I've got all the current wave except Takodana (Bricklinked Maz Kanata), the TIE Advanced Microfighter and the HSD.
-
Nice review. I was distinctly underwhelmed by this set though. I bought it for the minifigures, and I'm glad I didn't have to pay EU / Hong Kong prices for it.

REVIEW 75135 Obi Wan's Jedi Interceptor
MartinCliffe replied to Vectormatic's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nothing complicated, just a bracket, a tile, a few studs and a 1x4 double curve slope to bridge over the technics stuff. -
These look great! I like that they're not all the same design too.

Agreed, I've got like 6 Commander Gree minifigs. I'd really hope for someone different in the Turbo Tank.
