  1. Well, to the people that dislike the show it's basically the same thing. They see anything (in this case Ninjago) that resembles Lego and they dislike it and brand it as a childish marketing ploy to sell toys. I'm talking about these people, who saw the Ninjago movie and liked it. Will they still see the show as just Lego now that they saw the movie? Who knows. But that's what I meant.
  2. I understand that. I was really talking about the show in people's eyes pre-Ninjago movie. The show has terrible scores and reviews on a lot of sites and the main reason is the Lego aesthetic from what I can tell. Tons of people are gonna at least look into the source material and the show. People coming from the movie would have no reason to dislike the show because "it's Lego", since the movie was too. Pre-movie, Ninjago didn't really have a kickstand or anything. People would judge it simply for what it is; a Lego show.

    The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017)

I think i'm gonna have a good laugh whenever we get the second trailer and people see the highschool aspect of the movie Also, I really hope we get a verbal reference to Exo-Force regarding those mechs. Everyone think's it's Transformers-esque.
  4. I personally think anime would be better, but hey your opinion It can even be 2D Lego anime Would Cartoon Network or whoever have the kind of budget to keep the Ninjago environments and creatures look they way they do without any appearance downgrade? Unless you mean if any network picked it up, even if they made it not aimed primarily for kids. I do feel like the reason not many people like or are interested in Ninjago is because of the Lego aesthetic of characters. I want the show to stick with the Lego and CGI style, but I'd say the show would probably get more attention (or at least less negative attention) if it wasn't Lego-esque.

Why can't you tell much? Blink twice if your'e being watched! Also, what do you mean by 'mature'? I know you put them in parentheses, but do you mean that as in the way it's built is good, or the completed external build looks 'mature' when you look at it? 'Mature' as in something that will catch the eye of a AFOL or TFOL?

Does this remind anyone of a Star Fox vehicle? This vehicle just looks so good. I love the light gray and translucent blue look, it makes it look really pristine. I also really dig the flags. This was just the trailer though. It's not like we got a look at all the sets for the last 2 Lego Movie trailers.
  7. The relationship between Lloyd and Garmadon in the movie is a little different than here. In the movie, Garmadon's just going "meh, oh yeah" to his son. But in the show Garmadon loves Lloyd so much he does everything in his power to stop his progress, and tries to stop the battle even after that. I guess it's a nice contrast, it's something new. Or maybe Garmadon's just hiding his feelings?

Is L-Loyd going to be a running joke now? Interested to see the rest of the villains, hoping to see the Overlord but at the same time I want that to be saved for the show... Am I the only one who thinks something is going to happen to Zane? Plot twist, death, just something happening to Zane. He's too... that.

So that scene with Garmadon and those arrows, it looks like aquatic people are some of the bad guys. But who knows, that could just be the first 30 minutes of the movie. Zane's vehicle looks really good. At first I thought it was a pyramid with wheels, but seeing it again I think it's my favorite build shown along with L-loyd's dragon.

Actually, Jay is insecure. He hides his fear with jokes. I dunno, to be honest something about Zane makes him the most accurate one in my opinion. I mean look at him. He has a radio on him just like his HoT figure, his outfit kind of looks like the one from Rebooted (and reminds me of Dr. Julien), and his hair is the most accurate out of all of them. I think the bandage thing is only temporary, like he got into a fight or something. After all, we don't see it on his minifigure. I dunno, I kind of like how they're making him a delinquent-like character. I dislike a lot of the designs too, but try and look at the positives as well. :o That actually looks pretty nice

Once the trailer comes out in a couple of days we might get a good idea on what sort of sets to expect, or even CMFs.

They might try and give him more of an Echo Zane personality, kind of like Benny. But with a face like that, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the most ruthless and coldhearted ninja

They don't have to look exactly the same... Just not like that I mean, Kai's hair looks like a camp fire... I guess the new molds do have some benefits, we'll see more hair variety in other themes. I can especially see Cole's hair being used for a CMF.

I just noticed Zane's entire face is all... artificial technology-like. That actually makes me want it now, that expression is just great. Also, there will be dynamic hair in this movie right? Hair styles might change throughout the movie. For instance, maybe Jay was in a hurry to catch up with everyone, and he didn't do his hair. It could also explain why he's in the back. I also noticed Cole has a headband. Combined with his lax expression, is he gonna be one of those hippy bodacious kind of characters?

    The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017)

You know, all the Hands of Time ninja (and the samurai) are wearing sandals as well... I'd say Nya is wearing sandals rather than flip flops, because if she were wearing those, her feet would be yellow instead of black. Unless Nya is wearing socks and sandals... Then I will retract this statement Looking closely, she doesn't have the same hair! She actually has a bun or something, like Cole's hairpiece

Who's mans is this Also I'm not a big fan of those hair pieces. I kind of like Cole's hair and his outfit is alright, but I think the only one I'm completely okay with is Nya. She looks great. Kai's hair is way too big as well. Also... What? "Kids will dig Lord Garmadon riding a large mechanical shark with legs"... That sounds more like Chen than Garmadon...

So I finally got Lego Dimensions...

Yeah, I do admit Lego dimensions does have unique mechanics that you don't see in your conventional break and build Lego game (though it does have plenty of that). Throw in the main reason the games are so appealing (tons of characters) on top of that and you've got yourself a pretty rewarding Lego game.

  19. There's only three generals, the rest are soldiers. There's multiple Buffmillion mechs as well, so they're also soldiers. So that leaves Crux, Acronix, Macchia, Blunck, and Raggmunk. 5 villains that have focus put on them. I think YoTS had more individual villains than this, there were about 5 snake generals there too.

    The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017)

Oh that's right! I forgot the Lego Batman Movie was coming early February! I feel like it's a good thing I forgot about that movie's release date. Also, how would the Ninjago movie piggyback off Lego Batman? Maybe it would foreshadow or tease the LNM but I don't think the story itself would initiate the Ninjago movie. I do think all these movies are in the same world however, and Ninjago is some island off somewhere.

Garmadon is flat out wearing double torsos. It'd be unprofessional to not cover it up, so it's good to know that purple thing is pretty much a confirmed piece. But would it fit a normal minifigure? I want a set with one of those buildings. A $50-$60 set with just a building. Maybe add a water tower as well. And have a feature where one of the giant characters can detach and fall from the building.

    The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017)

Yeah, I don't know if Comicbook Now counts as an accurate source, but they said the same thing. I'm expecting some shenanigans to be done with the city. Lord Garmadon Looks great. But Lloyd's outfit is pretty underwhelming. But it is somewhat nostalgic of the original Ninja. Fortunately, all the ninja will have different designs.
  23. Well I mean unless you both know Chinese there's no way to be sure they're saying the EXACT same thing... It looks like NinjaJayNuva could be working to translate it, so we'll see I guess.
  24. Yeah, I only clicked forward and saw a minute or two, the textures look a bit more realistic compared to the other version. It looks like there's a trade off of things happening in both versions. I'm gonna hold off on seeing this until it gets translated, but i'm guessing the choreography is better here.
  25. I don't mind seeing it again. Are you sure everything besides the opening is the same?
