  1. Was just browsing the Cada online shop and noticed that the pictures of the LaFerrari have been updated with the new rounded panels. I wonder if there is any improvements/changes made structurally. For those curious how it looks now that they seem to be discontinuing the old panels: https://decadastore.com/products/viva-hypercar-c61505w You'll need to scroll down a little bit to see them.
  2. Perhaps the source meant when it would be available from resellers? Because those previous models were exclusive to TLG until August.
  3. To be completely honest they are as much technic as the recent 1:10 scale empty shells of supercars that they put out.
  4. I was quite excited for that one, but $180 is quite a bit more than I was willing to spend for it. Also: those red parts which I guess are supposed to be the taillight look awful and should have been orange. The P1’s taillights don’t look like that. I think whoever at Cada turned it into an orange car didn’t realise that the original red version by PvdB didn’t have taillights built in.
  5. Beautiful model. I also built it in the classic white/dark blue color scheme.
  6. Seems far more likely imo than the Artura or GTS. It’s also something unique being a three-seater. Only thing it is a couple years old already, but then again, the Chiron was also on the market for a while before LEGO released the Technic version So who knows… In my opinion it’s either a rumoured P1 successor, the 750s or the Speedtail. It’s all just speculation (and maybe this discussion belongs in the speculation topic anyway, @Jim / @Milan feel free to move)
  7. Let's see... Porsche 911 GT3RS: a somewhat experimental set by LEGO, but still a car where you cannot just walk into the nearest Porsche dealer to buy one. Bugatti Chiron: Multimillion dollar highly exclusive flagship hypercar Lamborghini Sian: Multimillion dollar highly exclusive flagship hypercar Ferrari Daytona SP3: Multimillion dollar highly exclusive flagship hypercar McLaren Artura: One of the cheapest new McLaren money can buy and barely a limited production. You can probably buy a whole garage of the Artura in every spec imaginable for the price of just one of the last three. The presented color of the 750s was also purple, so this means nothing.
  8. Are you 100% sure they meant a "new small beam" in this set specifically? Because this piece is in one of the space sets and new for 2024. https://rebrickable.com/parts/3167/technic-beam-2-x-3-thick-90-offset-centre-beam-hole/72/
  9. So we just got pearl dark gray frictionless axle pins last year, now we get LBG frictionless axle pins as well in the upcoming BMW Speed Champion kit.
  10. Definitely could be. I read that one of the Speed Champions cars will be a G63. And since there are already small and big versions of another Mercedes coming, I don’t see why it can’t happen a second time.
  11. Are you sure it’s not just that the frame is turned the other way around? Because I know you can fit 24t and old diffs like that due to the patterns around the pin holes.
  12. I wouldn't be opposed to a McLaren. I hope it's not the 750s though. It's not exactly the most exclusive model, being almost exactly the same as the 720s from 7 years ago. It's a nice car, but I would prefer something far more exotic. Something in the same class and price range of a P1 or a Senna.
  13. For this price it better have suspension. Doesn’t the W14 have pullrod suspension in the back? The linkages seem to be going below the differential.
  14. I will hold my judgement until proper pictures are published, but based on what I’m seeing here, I’m not very impressed. The slicks are nice though.
  15. Black with turquoise and lots of red axles. Two different colors of Koenigseggs might be nice. The 42196 is probably a recolor of the lime Huracan, which is nice. Lots of recolors.
  16. Well done! DBG/black/red will never not look great. I feel the wheelarches are sitting a bit too high though, especially in the back.
  17. The Huayra and Jesko don't have a clutch pedal, right? The Koenigsegg CC850 might be the only car that has both an actual manual with a real clutch pedal and an automatic gearbox. Even more interesting is that the gear ratios change based on what driving mode is selected. It's quite an engineering marvel, but unfortunately they are all sold out . There's some more in-depth info in this Top Gear article: https://www.topgear.com/car-news/supercars/heres-how-koenigseggs-new-manualautomatic-cc850-gearbox-works I discovered this car recently when someone uploaded a Technic version of it to Rebrickable, which did attempt to replicate this gearbox. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-161672/Antoine11/koenigsegg-cc850/#details
  18. For the fans of colored tires, there’s pink now as well: And also a yellow toggle joint which is new.
  19. Isn’t that “new panel” just this part? https://rebrickable.com/parts/80285/technic-panel-3-x-2-x-5/
  20. It looks like it’s inspired by the “Endurance” ship from Christopher Nolan’s movie Interstellar. But maybe space stations just look like that. I’ve never been on one, so I don’t know
  21. There is a QR code which links to a site that doesn’t have exist yet. It could be something AR related like the Mars Rover. Otherwise maybe something to create a “base” of some kind, which you can make bigger and bigger the more sets you have. Is the secondary color red or orange? It’s difficult to tell. The long tapered panels in the McLaren look interesting but (without derailing the topic), I’m pretty sure I have seen them or something very similar in competitor brands. I like the Kawasaki. Also includes a set of new panels in DBG (the smallest ones). The VTOL spaceship looks very interesting and I actually like it quite a bit. Overall I would say it’s a good first impression of what Technic 2024 has to offer. Lots of recolors too which are always welcome.
  22. That 1:10 scale McLaren P1 "Smiling Assassin" looks really good. It looks like the one designed by PvdB. Can anyone confirm it is his (authorized) design? Overal, there are some nice designs there. I'm not a construction person, but that JCB does look really nice. Some of those 10 wide Speed Champions style RC cars look interesting as well.
  23. Is that fender not just this piece?
  24. It's always nice to get a look behind the scenes, even if I might have seen a few of these pictures already . Most are still new to me, so thanks for sharing. I think the Bricksafe folder especially shows the amount of work that went into this build. It's interesting to see how many solutions were "rejected" even if the car still unmistakably looked like a LaFerrari. I think despite the few shortcomings this build is still one of, if not, the best 1:8 supercar out there. That said: looking forward to seeing your future projects
  25. And unfortunately friction is almost always better than no friction. The pearl dark gray pins don’t have friction. They’re the same axle pin that is normally tan or light gray in pre 2000s sets.
