    Star Wars vs. Marvel Contest

Is it MCU only or are the x-men allowed in as well?

    [SWBP] – Jawa Ambush

very nice jawa pack jp-30. The only downside to a lot of these being available sets would be the sting on my wallet. Id want 2 of yours!
  3. Hi everyone, first, a little introduction. My Lego universe contains a lot of themes, mainly SW, but Ive got Marvel, DC, and even a little TMNT. Basically in my Lego universe, its SW w tons of guest crossovers. Despite all of this, there is really one main theme. Good guys vs. bad guys, faces and heels, whatever you want to call it. Ive got a main base for each side, being a custom death star and a custom mos eisley. Eventually Id like to get an ewok village and make mos eisly more of a neutral ground. Along with a base of operations, each side needs a flagship. Of course there will be lots of smaller fighters and transport craft, but each side needs that one big bad ship to carry tons of troops and spearhead the assault. FOr the Imperials/bad guys, I've got a modded 75055. I've opened up the interior so that it can carry a ton of troops. The 75055 was actually the first ship Ive gotten as an AFOL and it brought me out of the dark ages. All this time since, I've been collecting and the ISD has had no rival. I was too late for get the latest Falcon, and honestly it felt too small anyway. I wanted something to match my 75055 in size physically. Deep down I wanted the Tantive IV, but finding that set afford-ably may never happen. I understand that scale wise, the Tantive should be tiny compared to an ISD but I don't care, its the rebel flagship. Anyway, I settled on a 75025 Jedi defender class cruiser because it still has a lot of that Correllian feel. I made it as big as I could, and while it is (and will always be) a WIP its finished enough to be worth posting here IMO. Thanks for still hanging in, heres the pics. I never liked the trans yellow break in the blue along the front of the ship, so I changed that up and extended the blue into the sides. I like this look better. Most of my ships of consequence have an Ion cannon for disabling shields. I'm a huge fan of BSG, so you'll also see live ammo guns used on a ship to ship scale on my builds. Here are the twin gattling guns used for anti missile and ship to ship. Here it is next to escort fighter red leader (modded V-wing) Here it is next to the ISD I was trying to match it to. Also is the bottom of my death star. The left and right sections of the front still open up, and I've expanded them to hold 2 minifigs with a console each. I also opened up the center to hold a 5th miifig, also with a console. The top comes off in 3 sections. Section 1 reveals a couple of seats and a workbench. Section 2 shows more seating Section 3 shows a sickbay bed (thanks Avengers tower) and a microscope. The escape hatches remain largly unchanged, just widened, and the engines and rear hatch remain unchanged. I'm fairly happy with the exterior except for tons more greebling, its the interior I want to go crazy with now. Living quarters, computer terminals, a toilet even? Thanks you for looking, and ideas you may have are more then welcome. May the force be with you.

    [SWBP] Imperial armory

Here is my second entry for the battle pack contest. Im sorry for the poor lighting on the pics, Im just learning how to use my camera phone. Like my last entry, I tried to create something people (mainly AFOLs) would want to buy. It would make a great army builder and with the extra pieces you could of course build a bigger armory. Who doesn't want more blasters? Another thing of note, is that I do not have 4 identical stormtroopers, and that is what I would have prefered to do for this set. Without that option, I decided to go the opposite route and use 4 different ones. Ive got a Tattooine sandtrooper, a new rebels stormtrooper, and ISD stormtrooper and a DS stormtrooper. Here is the squad arriving at the armory. They must first deactivate the force field door. I was going for the blue energy doors from Ep1 TPM. A shot from the inside with the door open, shows the thumb wheel to actually move the door )play feature) and an armory table with a bunch of goodies. we've got 10 blaster pistols, 5 blasters and 5 long blasters, along with an RPG and a gattling gun! Here we see our troopers gearing up. They all have back plates to hold secondary weapons. Locked and loaded, the stormtroopers advance on the rebel scum! Total piece count (not including minifigs and 1 accessory each) is 105 pieces. You would get a ton of extra blasters with this kit, something I think most SW fans would jump on. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy. May the force be with you.

    [SWBP] Darth Vaders "interrogation" room

I hear you Artizan and considered this myself, but decided to take a chance and enter anyway. I enjoyed the build, and I suppose it would be easy enough to have an imperial officer and droid, and 2 nameless rebels. My next entry will be a lot more generic, it'll be a generic army builder. Thanks Artizan for the constructive criticism :)
  7. I am an AFOL, and for this entry I tried to make a battle pack an AFOL would want to buy, while staying within the contest rules. This set is inspired by Vaders even darker side in ANH, when he pushes Leia for information on the rebel base. Presenting the interrogation room. THis set includes Darth Vader (ISD), Luke Skywalker (10188 using the Mos Eisley head), Han Solo (Mos EIsley) and Princess Leia (Death Star using Pepper Pots head). The "play feature" of the set is that it unfolds and opens. Here we see Vader pondering his options. Carefully considered among many, our final "interrogation" tools include a 2 handed maul, a tomahawk, a mystery syringe, a katana, a chainsaw, a flail. a power saw and an oil can. Why the oil can? Well ever since the scene with Marky Mark and the motor oil in the movie Three Kings, well I've never been able to get that image out of my head. Dont believe me? Youtube it. After settling on a flail, Vader presses Leia for further rebel secrets. But that is not all! Vader has plans for Han, and he has proven to be quite resilient. Having survived carbonite, Vader ups his game with the microwave radiation chamber! Han has no chance! Having already dealt with the pesky Luke using the handy chainsaw, Vader looks on as the freshly shaven head of Leia is strapped into the electric chair! Surely not even she can resist this level of "interrogation" The Empire will rule! And there you have it. Set includes 2 beds, a tool rack with tools, the microwave chamber, the electric chair, the hanging rack, 2 pairs of handcuffs and a pick axe for good measure. Total piece count including lightsaber blades, 98 pieces. The only thing not included in this is the minifigs and 1 item each to hold. I was not sure if the lightsabers would count as 2 pieces so I included the blades in the 100 count limit to play it safe. Thank you for taking the time to read this and good luck to all those who are competing. May the force be with you.
