  1. This thread will be used to discuss bricklinking and building Mortesv's Nebulon-B Medical Frigate. It can be used to discuss anything/ any type of advice for people who will be attempting this build. The original thread for the bundle for the MOC is available here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=135698 Time for me to start things off: I just finished placing my bricklink orders which totaled $794.00. I decided to go with pieces in "any" condition because in my opinion this ship is supposed to look sort of worn out and this will help to ensure that it is perfectly shiny squeky clean, it's an old ship. Hopefully my parts come in pretty soon and I can get started with this, currently Mortesv himself is still the only one with this MOC, but let's change that!!
  2. Finally, an official addition to your Collection is here! After years of requests and tweaks to the model, Cavegod's Sandcrawler is officially ready to be released to the public! The MOC itself contains 12,110 parts, and its manual is 645 pages long. The MOC is built to minifigure scale, and does a job in capturing the sheer size of the vehicle in a way that no Lego set ever has (Or likely will) ever done. Lots of interest has been generated for this MOC, and Cavegod and I are really glad to make its release to the community! Looking forward to seeing all of the improved collections and Tatooine MOCs. If you would like to build this MOC, we are happy to share it with you in exchange for $60. Included is the pdf instruction manual, an xml part list, LDD files, and any help you need throughout the process of making the MOC. For more information please PM me or contact me at chrdvorak@hotmail.com A rebrickable page with a parts list is available here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-13289/cjd_223/cavegod-ucs-sandcrawler Here are some pictures of the MOC and of the pdf manual:
  3. Updated May 4, 2021 I am thrilled to be sharing this MOC with everyone, it is a UCS Krennic's Shuttle. The original model is courtesy of @cavegod, it was a pleasure to work with Pete again. He sent me over the LDDs to get started on the instructions, and after going through the model and building a scenic display, I built the model and am over the moon with it. It can be displayed both in "Flight Mode" (Wings folded down) as well as "Landed Mode" (Wings folded up). The transition between these two display styles is quite simple and easy to do with just a single person. The goal here was to give others who build the MOC the ability to choose their display style based on how much spare room they have. Parts List and Instructions: https://alloutbrick.com/products/the-director Some stats about the MOC: It is in fact minifig scale. Part Count: 4,305 bricks with 7 minifigs. The minifigs are of course optional as collecting Krennic + 6 Death Troopers can be pricy. Flight Mode: Height: 35 in. / 88.9 cm Width: 34 in. / 86.4 cm Depth: 16.5 in. / 41.8 cm Landed Mode: Height: 26 in. / 66 cm Width: 11.5 in. / 29.2 cm Depth: 16.5 in. / 41.8 cm Here are some photos of the MOC for everyone:
  4. Hello AFOLs, I am glad to announce that the instructions for the Lego Racers Car Collection is now complete! Included is the 87-page instructions to build all 24 Racers, Decals for Rocket Racer/Veronica Voltage, and a Minifigure Guide (Used to better display each minifig since all necessary parts were not in .LDR). This is all being offered for free. To receive your own manual, simply PM me or contact me via email at chrdvorak@hotmail.com and you will receive a manual. Here are some screenshots from the manual:
  5. Finally, an official addition to your Rebel Fleet is here! After over a year of tweaks and specifics, mortesv's CR-90 Corvette is officially ready to be released to the public! The MOC itself contains 2,808 parts, and its manual is 133 pages long. The MOC is built to the same scale as the Nebulon-B, making a perfect addition to a rebel fleet. Lots of interest has been generated for this MOC, and mortesv and I are really glad to make its release to the community! Looking forward to seeing all of the improved fleets as well as those that will begin with this ship. If you would like to build this MOC, we are happy to share it with you in exchange for $30. Included is the pdf instruction manual, an xml part list, LDD files, and any help you need throughout the process of making the MOC. For more information please PM me or contact me at chrdvorak@hotmail.com A rebrickable page will be available soon, but for now the xml part list will be included Here are some pictures of the MOC and of the pdf manual: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/139982-moc-ucs-cr-90-corellian-corvette-–-blockade-runner-tantive-iv/

    (MOC) - Cavegod's UCS Sandcrawler

I am not collaborating with Brickvault at all. I was working on the update on my own/All-Out Brick, I actually had no idea Brickvault had a remaster in their plans as well 😂

    (MOC) - Cavegod's UCS Sandcrawler

At least I'm not the only confused one here 😅 For those that don't know, I created All-Out Brick alongside the remaster of the Cavegod AT-AT in Oct. 2020 I've been working on the Sandcrawler remaster for about 8 months now (alongside a few other projects). As far as I was aware that was supposed to be the official remaster, with A TON of added features, corrections, and bonuses included in the remaster. Did not know that TBC was working on this as well. I guess we all have some catching up to do and figuring out who has the official remaster and who is going to get left out of this one. Would really stink to lose the work that's already been put into the Sandcrawler remaster, it was going to be something truly special

    (MOC) - Cavegod's UCS Sandcrawler

Unfortunately no way, no how will it be done this year. There is so much on my plate right now along with this MOC, and I want to make sure that everything is PERFECT with the update/remaster that will hopefully really make everyone happy. I currently estimate that it will be fully revised and good to go in mid-late 2022.
  9. They actually don't snap into the modified plates! They just sit in place. Those plates just add extra support to the frame. Originally they did attach, but it was incredibly tough to do (especially on the final side) so I modded the mechanism to just have them slide in
  10. This advice exactly. They are INCREDIBLY tight for the squeeze, the design really has no gaps after they're snapped in, just takes some patience (Trust me I had issues on my first attempt too!).
  11. Nov. 2015 Initial Post: Hello Eurobrickers! I have a great announcement for you guys, especially those who are interested in Cavegod's UCS AT-AT. Over the past month or so, I have worked a countless number of hours in order to bring all of you guys something that this MOC deserved ever since its creation, a proper instruction manual. Yes, that's right, the famed issues of LDD will no longer be apart of this project thanks to this manual. Now I'm sure you're wondering, how big is a 6000+ piece manual? Well, to answer that question, the manual is a massive 1,089 pages. No that is not a typo, ONE THOUSAND AND EIGHTY NINE PAGES!!! A special thanks goes out to both Cavegod and drdavewatford. Cavegod designed a masterful MOC, one of the greatest ever, and drdavewatford was kind enough to allow me use of some of his photos throughout the manual. This could not be achieved without you guys! Enough of me talking, here are some images directly from the manual: (Initial images removed for clarity on update) Oct. 2020 Instructions Update: Almost five years after its initial release, I'm thrilled to announce that the remastered instructions for Cavegod's AT-AT are complete! The instructions feature updates that make this build SO much easier and affordable. The most important things that are included in the updated instructions are: Redesigned Legs. These new legs have a technic interior and erase any issues that occurred with the original leg stability Reinforced Body Frame. The handle is now incredibly sturdy and the technic structure that is housed within the body is significantly more sturdy Cheaper Pieces. After several years it was time to swap out the expensive parts. The parts and MOC are now much more affordable. Display Base. What MOC would be complete without a display base? I designed a large black display base that includes technic framing to snap in the feet, a much better alternative to the old method of tires within the feet. The base also features several snow-covered rocks to imitate a Hoth landscape The MOC now consists of 8,935 pieces and measures: 34" long 18" wide 30" tall The instructions are now reduced down to 550 pages. More information about getting the instructions and free access to the parts list can be found here Pete and I are super pumped to be sharing the update with you, and I cannot understate how much better they've made the build experience and final MOC. If you already own the instructions after getting them from me in the past, you should have received an email detailing how to obtain the updated instructions. If I missed you just shoot me a PM or contact me via email at alloutbrick@gmail.com and I'll get your upgrade over to you. Here's some photos of the update:
  12. That's a really awesome stand style for an option that doesn't require as many pieces but still allows for Flight Mode! Assuming physics plays nice, I can't imagine a major stability issue with it, but it may swoosh a little bit while setting up.
  13. Happy May the 4th! The instructions, parts list, and the webpage is all setup and ready to go! It has been an absolute blast working on this model, refining every bit of it along the way. The instructions are 311 pages long, and I am THRILLED to announce that they are available both as a digital download and a physical printed booklet! The printed booklet has been the reason for so many pushbacks, I wanted it to be perfect before sending it out for production. Parts List & Instructions: https://alloutbrick.com/products/the-director I've attached some updated photos of the MOC on the first post of this thread, one of the major differences compared to the original model include closing all of the gaps up as tight as possible across the shuttle. This model never failed to provide me with a new challenge to tackle and I am so happy to finally share this MOC in a way that allows other people to build it. Final stats for the MOC: Parts: 4,305 + 7 minifigures Size: 35"H x 34"W x 16.5"D (Flight-Mode), 26"H x 11.5"W x 16.5"D (Landed-Mode)

[MOC] Imperial Star Destroyer - The Torment

This is awesome! What a great way to make a splash of May the 4th. Your model and photography do a great job of bringing the size down but still capturing the feeling that this ship is massive. Very well done!
  15. Set 75156 (The official release of Krennic's Shuttle) has 438 shared parts and the Krennic Minifig.
  16. Yes, because there are more pieces required to build the display tower. Perhaps you're a time traveler, today is May 1 Still on for May 4.
  17. Shuttle Only: ~$300 Shuttle Plus Display Block in Landed Mode w/ all 7 minfigs: ~$450 Shuttle, Minifigs, and Display Block in Flight Mode: ~$575 Obviously this can fluctuate a bit depending on the market of certain parts, but the final parts list was made very carefully trying to avoid any parts that could become tough to acquire. All 7 minifigs cost ~$75 so keep that in mind. About 11 cents per piece for everything without the minifigs. There are several parts lists that will be included so you can choose the display/budget option that suits you best! Different displays may not be incredibly clear right now, but will be once everything is all published.
  18. Me personally, I don't look for one condition or the other unless pieces are in white. I always set white pieces to new condition to avoid getting yellowed bricks, but aside from that I just go with whatever is easiest to acquire, sometimes new condition is only a few extra cents per piece for smaller parts.

    MOC - TIE Advanced x1 (Vader's ship)

Looks really good! Is there a specific reason why you went with an all studded look on the wings this time compared to your other MOCs?
  20. Hi! Yes I can provide an update! I am wrapping up the final test build, after which I have to clean up some additional details in the manual, fix the parts list, and work on the final steps of a big surprise for this manual. Official Release will be May 4, 2021. Confirmed.

SB00301 B-PROJECT (MOC Resistance Bomber UCS)

Great to hear! The final steps of getting instructions ready are always the most arduous!
  22. The parts list is currently undergoing its final changes so I don't have the exact answer right now but will include that statistic once everything is all good to go within the next few weeks

    Building Mortesv's Nebulon-B Thread

Just a heads up, that's Brick Bob's version not the one mortesv worked on. It's pretty much the exact same with a few added details, so the dimensions may be slightly off. I'm going to be remastering the instruction manual and design mortesv and I worked on as a part of a Rebel Fleet Collection later this year. Same thing as the other ones I've worked on recently, anyone who got this one from me will get all the updates for free. More to come soon!

    [MOC] Trandoshan playgrounds

Nice! Cool idea you had with removing the one leg to make it look like it's bent at the knee. Very reminiscent of the Clone Wars arc
