[MOC] Crossed Bones Ship COMPLETE! (Until disaster struck)

Kraken? Hurricane? Broadside from the Imperial Flagship? Hopefully you can piece it back together. T'was a fine vessel.

    [MOC] 6245 Harbour Sentry Remake

I should've worded my first post differently. I meant that TLG would probably use the boat piece for simplicity if they released a set like this. But maybe not - they have done several brick built hulls in recent years. And due to the simplicity of the original, I pretty much expected a brick built hull for this when I saw the title.

    [MOC] 6245 Harbour Sentry Remake

The lunacy of the original set was half the fun. That and the rare plain bicorne. Nice remake. The hull shaping is good, although for the sake of simplicity in an official set I think you could use the standard boat and just replace the full cannon with the howitzer - if you had room for the 2 men, that is.

[OFFICIAL] 10320 Eldorado Fortress - Available NOW

On the one hand, this looks like a pretty cool set, but... On the other hand, when the only offerings are remakes, it feels like this theme is dead. Somehow I can't muster much excitement. In 5 years maybe they'll do a reimagined Armada Sentry. That would just be glorious.

    GoH 10 B: Castle Kitchen

I loved the original and this remake is cool too. You've managed to stuff a lot of details into the available space again. I didn't watch the video, but it appears the floor is ingots on plates? Cool technique.

    [MOC] Croco Island

Interesting set design and fun crocodile concept. Looks like a fun play set.
  8. Ok, that staircase is just beautiful. And the rest of the build looks quite nice too. Love the fiddlers on the roof. Wait. Those aren't fiddles.

[SR - FB] Courthouse in Bastion

The courthouse looks nice and the guillotine is a great design, but the real star for me is the courtroom scene. It's fantastic. The minifig designs and poses are just about perfect.

    Ideas for CMFs

@Robert8 After recently acquiring multiple copies of the Rococo Aristocrat I remembered your French Queen from past years and came back here to make the comparison only to see that @Eggyslav has already done it! I like your colors slightly better, but I'm just glad they made something similar. Your original design is still great. Historical accuracy notwithstanding, I like the official hairpiece better only because it's monocolor and will work with other outfits. And congrats on all that you did with this project.

[COR - FB - Royal] Quinnsville Royal Arsenal

You scurvy dog, you beat me to it. (Something like this has been on my build list for... several years now...) Fantastic layout. I like the overall view and the interiors look great, especially the floor patterns. And of course the detailed work stations are nice. I really appreciate the effort you put into the boring assemblies. Excellent work all around!

Here's a pirate town from the forums. Is something like this what you have in mind?

    [COR-FB] Whisky Distillery, Wullham

Welcome to the forum, the game, and the faction. This is another beautiful design. I like your architecture so far and the ground textures are nice. The inside lighting and background really bring it to life, and the hat blown off with that hairpiece is excellent. I would love to see an interior pic sometime if that's possible. I'm also curious as to what you're using for your renders. They're not quite as photo-realistic as the best that I've seen but they're still extremely good.
  17. Magnificent vessel. Those old galleons were some of the coolest looking ships in my opinion. It doesn't take much hold space to transport gold that has been, uh, "procured."

    Cathedral of Pontelli

Now that you mention it... I was wondering where they came from! And nice job with the cathedral, especially the windows. The scenes of the workers are pretty cool too. I totally saw that monkey as soon as you posted this, yes I did. I promise. Maybe.

    The Buccaneer's Dread

Whoa. That is fantastic!! Incredible details and lighting. And gold. I'm glad you gave all the dimensions, because while it's obviously big, I wouldn't have guessed that it's that big. It's huge!!
  20. BAA-humbug! I don't like it! Not enough gold!!
  21. Lovely facade. It has a certain storybook quality about it, and the interior looks great as well. Those colors work well together. And of course the story is again entertaining.

    [MOC] Onward Into The Sierras

No issues from me. I think the build fits the real story well. First thing I thought when I saw them! Do you live in the mountains in CO? The Blue Ridge Mountains dominate the western skyline where I live.

    [MOC] Onward Into The Sierras

Beautiful scene of a macabre setting. Those covered wagons look incredible! And you managed to produce some of the steep and rugged terrain. I really like the colors as well. I'm not entirely sold on the clip hands as horses/oxen, but at this tiny scale I don't know how you could do better - maybe the 1.5 stud long modified round plate with handle? And to think the real trail was supposed to be a "shortcut" through the desert and mountains that had never even been tested by wagons, and proved exceedingly difficult and caused many delays, hence the party being trapped there during the fateful winter...

    [MOC] Mini Redcoats

@evancelt The headlight brick would be rather large for a shako at this scale. How would the antenna base look atop a 1x1 round black plate for a shako? As for heads, you could use tan instead of yellow for a flesh look, if you have them.

[COR - FB] Fortifications at Neustadt

I love that palisade and that's a good design for their soldiers. The cannons are also neat.
