Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
SomeAssemblyRequired replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well this line is pretty bad. I really don't think I want to buy any of them. I bought all the Infinity War sets last year despite not liking all of them, because the minifigures were good and at least it felt like someone cared about the builds. Captain Marvel not getting any upgrades, all QR suits, and the shocking use of minifigure space means I cannot see any of these selling well - even to kids. I think they're far too expensive for what you get. -

I'm very happy with the sets too. Hopeful of them coming this theme for a long tome to come as this seems genius to me, much like the Minecraft sets. -

Just saw that LEGO Xtra pack with mainly stickers and some parts to apply them to, does anyone else think that could be a way to get more Overwatch stuff into LEGO form? Particularly sprays could be packaged into a LEGO sticker pack, alongside some cute little extras like brick-built Pachimaris. Also was curious with the whole Orisa discussion, I feel like it's near impossible to make a good minifigure scaled Orisa so is it likely to be like either of the Bastion builds? -

In my head I'm sort of more imagining there'll be small builds with these minifigures - kinda like the Hawkeye and Thor polybags from Avengers 1. -
REVIEW: 76127 Captain Marvel and The Skrull Attack
SomeAssemblyRequired replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
My biggest issue with the set is probably the minifigures looking so bland. Carol deserves a better minifigure for the headlining character, very similarly underdone like Black Panther's multiple variants were. Talos is in need of a cloak/cape piece, but Fury looks perfect. Was a nice build, hopeful I'll get some MOC ideas after watching the movie. -

Hopeful that we at least see the original cast rounded out before the theme ends. It's been such a brilliant idea honestly to make sets out of Overwatch, and I can picture future sets. Would love to see them do an Eichenwalde or Blizzard World $100 set. Was also thinking would Hanzo's hairpiece be suitable for Brigitte in dark red? Similar look and saves money on a new mould -

Hey everyone - what are your thoughts on if we'll get another UCS style set? Finished the Hulkbuster over Christmas and it is fantastic on display. I feel like a UCS Milano would be highly desirable, considering it is a very well liked design and the Guardians are very popular characters. Thoughts? What other MCU UCS do you think we could see? -

Was thinking about polybags I'd like to see this year, was thinking Captain Marvel with her leather jacket on would be a really nice one to have - maybe as a pre-order bonus for the inevitable LEGO MCU 2 game? -

Thanos looks fine. I just don't think bigfigs are the way to go for larger sized characters. It's fine for Hulk, but the mold is so stale and bad for play. Would like to see LEGO do a completely new bigfig piece with some more maneuverability. I'm just hoping the normal figures have some more detail to them - very disappointed by how few figures had printed legs or arms - especially as many of them would greatly benefit from it. -

Very disappointing minifigure, that Skrull. Hoping that Captain Marvel looks good, as that is ultimately why I'll be buying the set. Hopeful of a better Wasp helmet in the Avengers 4 line. -

I'm a big fan of the game, so I think this is a perfect match. I'm not super into the current sets, but that in part has to do with none of my favourite characters being released in the first wave. I'll probably get the Bastion set, but will wait out until there's Roadhog/Brigitte/Zenyatta before getting any more traditional set. -
Hey everyone! I've been working on some customs based off the 2016 DOOM reboot. Seeing as there was a DOOM Eternal gameplay revealed recently, I thought I'd show the community some customs I've made based off the game. All screenshots taken in LDD coming out as just transparent nothingness

Anyone know a fix? On windows, latest version installed, no modifications. -

Have updated my drivers, and the problem seems to be persisting. Every now and then I can get a screenshot to actually come out as normal. Here's my system specs. I'm running a fairly average laptop. It has trouble running games without overheating, and sometimes struggles with LDD once it gets over 1500 parts. -
After rewatching the sequels: DJ's ship from TLJ. Figures included are Finn, Rose, DJ, and BB-8. Large ship, expensive set. Cantobite set a la Mos Eisley, with same characters as above. Battle of Takodana / Takodana Castle. Decent scale, maybe UCS. Proper version of the castle from Takodana. Including Maz's bar, the weird underground section with the lightsaber. Minifigures included: Rey, Han Solo, Finn, Maz, First Order spy, Resistance spy, BB-8, Stormtroopers, and Kylo Ren

Love this! Looks like an exclusive style set, would kill for a Porg UCS

Throne room set would make sense - but seems like a super spoilery set to release only 6 months after the movie, unless it is a D2C set. -

Have to say, really impressed with /most/ of the TLJ sets, really hope we see a Throne Room set in the 2nd wave. Not overly impressed with the Han Solo sets honestly. -
Thought I'd start a "fun" topic. What is your favourite film(s)? My personal favourite is the 1968 Planet of the Apes - classic film, have seen it close to 6 times now. Love the story, the twist, the Charlton Heston-ing. Bravo to my favourite character of all time... DR. ZAIUS!

Excuse the horrible pun - but what really annoys you? Can be LEGO or RL related For me - getting a cold and thinking it's over...then round 10am you need to leave work -____-

What was the last movie you watched?
SomeAssemblyRequired replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
So I caught up on all Best Picture noms * Imitation Game: Was really great and shows me Cumberbatch is extremely talented. 5/5 * Theory of Everything: Great performance from Redmayne, probably the best one nominated. 5/5 * American Sniper: It was good...but not best picture worthy, and not as strong as Eastwood's previous films. 4/5 * Boyhood: More of a concept than a movie. Bland cinematography with no plot, but Arquette raises the film from 2 stars, to 3. 3/5 * Whiplash: Really good. JK Simmons was really great. 4.5/5 * Birdman: I thought it was really dull, self indulgent, and a slight rip off of Death of a Salesman, and Walter Mitty. 2/5 * Grand Budapest: Was very funny and entertaining. 4/5 * Selma: Really great and very emotional performance from Oyelwo. 5/5 -
Yep, your turn.
