    2015 LEGO Trains?

Duq, would you mind explaining me why the existing freight train is better, and what set are you talking about? I'm looking to buy the new set myself, but ofcource the better old set is welcome as well. ;)

Looking for a Space Port 90's set.

Found it! It was the Moon walker 6516 set! Oddly enough it points to bricklink, on which I previously have found nothing. The site ' classic-space.com' helped me out. Thanks for your effort, all of you :)

Looking for a Space Port 90's set.

Oh, but is it modern space tech, not Sci-Fi. Or do you mean they might help me better there? :) Then by all means ^^ Ty!
  7. Hi there, I need a little help here. I remember I've gotten a space town ( I think ) lunar buggy of some sort in the 90's. I don't think it's 6463 although it's very similar ( I don't think it had the reflecting gold dome at the back. It's also not 1180/1265/3068 ( all the same set ), but it *should* be from that eara since it had the head with microphone and simple white helmet with the big shiney golden visor. I remember it having an small antenna mast at the back with a small disk attached at the top. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? [EDIT] I'd like to say that I googled and looked at Brickset and have found nothing, really.
  8. dr_spock, You might have a point. I'll wait for some reviews first. Besides that, I have a house to rebuild. A real-life one that is. So funds might get somewhat scarcer ;).
  9. Ok... It seems I'll need them all! :D No seriously, with the exception that I want diesels ( thanks though, David ) I can't choose... all mentioned trains are awesome Not even thinking about the maersk train I just discovered! Ps. Why I want diesel: electric trains require a high voltage line, which is quite sensitive to the cold ( snaps easily, and the ice damages the pantograph: it looks like they're welding! ). Diesels would be the smarter choice if you have a refueling station.

    Hello! The name is Chess!

    Thank you all!
  11. Already got 2 HE's ;). First Lego I bought in 16 years :D
  12. No, the colours don't really matter :). Just would like to go Train depot-> small airfield-> Arctic airfield-> Arctic base. All in northern theme with ice and snow.... Have you seen ' Ice Road Truckers? ' . Somewhat like that but with trains, if you follow my train of thought/ I can't find any complaints of the current cargo train set, any complaints you guys know about? :) I like trains... /sheldon cooper
  13. Hi there! I'm looking for a train set to supplement my 'Cargo and Supply route to the Arctic' theme. I have no experience what-so-ever thus I would like to educate myself on the matter of cargo trains. Modern and as complete as possible is what I was looking for. No preference of power functions. What set would be called 'interesting to look at'?
  14. Hi! Just found this forum, please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Chess, 28 year old Belgian and a long time LEGO fan. I'm one of the traumatised and compensating type. Here's the back story: My 5 year elder brother and myself started to get Lego gifts very early. Very fortunate, since I consider Lego the 'cause' of my spacial awareness, imagination and technical know how as a kid. Got various kits, didn't mater as they didn't stay original for long. In my head my own creations were WAY better! I also got a few bags of random bricks which I now recognise as Classic Space from elder kids in the family. Yay! Then disaster happened. I turned 12. It was the age my parents considered too old for Lego. I had to build what I could and my parents sold all the complete kits except the very big, expensive ones. I got to put the money in my savings, but still... Traumatised. All that was left was some Old 1981 high speeds train set that my father glued together and a Technics rally 4X4 and water plane. Basically kits that were my brothers and I 'couldn't touch'. I was young and the years helped my forget what was lost...;) Now, 14 years later I rediscovered Lego and want t o rebuy ALL the sets I had to sell ( the ones I can remember anyway :p ) It's going to be grand! I'm not going to list what I have already ( mostly new kits anyway ), since I don't know all the set numbers but I could do the effort if you ask. Also, I am planning of the following diorama's: - MOC Arctic line: Making the Arctic like complete with Medbay, Arctic rescue post, supply post and better communications post. Oh, and my minifigs needs beds and a mess! ;) - I'm a railroad technician... You can guess what I want to build ;). I have the Horizon Express and want to go the 'supply' route - Modular buildings! But I want to turn them into a northern city. Think Scandinavia or Canada. - Small airfield with train connestion for.. yup, supplies ;) I have plans for most but you know what Lego REALLY misses? A rescue - MedEvac helicopter. Think 'Sea-king Helicopter' They never did a proper one. Now, out of curiosity, any of you experienced a similar story? ;)
