interesting thoughts here. I support all of these and will gladly be wanting more of these parts in the future. You also forgot to mention the new black cutlass's released in the silent mary. I could see lego using them for the pirates and having the traditional grey ones for the "good guys". We do know that the next pirate line will be released in 2019 being the 30th anniversary in all so I could see maybe the new corner round smooth tile pieces in more sets, such as in banisters as used in the silent mary.

Those with very large collections and small spaces how do you display?
azog replied to Criosphynx's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I am on the same boat as you. I have one room to put a ton of lego's in. What I do though is keep all the stuff out that I am in the mood at looking at and box the other stuff for later. So I guess you can say that I am seasonal. -
Are you talking about the expense that it might be? Thats what I got worried about but now I just decided to buy the whole set.

So sadly no captains cabin...kinda figured but I was really holding out for one. It's disappointing how the one play feature in the set is kinda fragile. After looking at this review I think I still am going to buy this set, mainly for those sharks and the minifigures. And besides it's good to have some diversity among my Imperial Flagship. And it does look like a great display model. Also we all have to remember that lego is never going to make a ship like this again, so if you kinda want a ghost ship you need to buy this one. Thank you GoldenNinja3000 for finding this review and thank you the brothers brick for making this review!

This is really exciting! I have to admit im curious for how the shark dropping feature is going to play out in the movie. And I really dig the fact that they made the instruction manual similar to the lego ninjago's temple of airjitzu by showing some character descriptions along with a brief history of the model itself. And the book looks great! Finally we have a page piece that could be used in other themes and looks right. Overall I am getting more and more pleased with this set everyday! Also I am still holding out for a cabin but I feel like its not going to happen. On a side note is it just me or do I see a moving rudder? When you look at the ship it looks like there is a technic piece that connects to the steering wheel.

I think the sandbox is still there you just have to unlock it first.

For PC you do get a free music soundtrack and a ball cap that says Tt on it so you character can wear it around in game.

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
azog replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
I know what your saying about the film being part 1 of 2. But I think it all depends on Johnny Depp. He came out in an interview a little while back saying he didn't want to be a pirate anymore. So with that said I think this is in fact the last movie and when it says "begins" there talking about the beginning of this movie. Which means less chances for new ships for lego to make. -

I know there is no reviews really up yet...but guys I don't know anymore , it honestly looks so beautiful and would looks so great if I build it up with a cabin and "doors to scale". I think I need help deciding on this one. -

I personally think that Will will only be saving the day in the end of the movie. Which is also why I have no faith that there making a Flying Dutchman and the reason why lego didn't give him a minifgure. -
Yeah we need to change the title of this discussion. Yeah I watched some of the videos as well of the new game play and I am honestly astonished for how much different it is! Now there is almost a story built in instead of just a sandbox game.

I don't know if this is worth mentioning but on Lego.com they have the Pirates of the Caribbean BrickHeadz now listed. https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Brickheadz-sets?icmp=SHTO_MarvelBrickHeadz

[MOC] USS Poseidon - Minifig Scale First Rate Ship of the Line
azog replied to shiplover's topic in Pirate MOCs
Just incredible (mic drop) -
This really does give me hope that we might be getting a FD or some other set! Do we know any big D2C's that are coming out in October? If not I feel like we might be getting that FD. I have hope because of the shark not being in the set and the fact that we didn't get a will turner.

I have been wanting to buy one big set just as more of a treat. I'm not sure which one is the best choice though. I am currently looking at three different sets which are 4195 Queen Ann's Revenge from the Pirates of the Caribbean, 76023 The Batman UCS Tumbler, or 10237 The Tower of Orthanc. These all sell for around the same price range except the Tumbler and Orthanc sell for new and sealed as the Queen Ann's Revenge sells for used in good condition. I would love to hear different opinions on all three of the sets. Thank you!

I am honestly in love with this ship! To be honest I am surprised in myself. When I heard they were doing the silent mary I got heavily disappointed that it wasn't the BP or FD. But now that I look at it I love it! I am honestly disappointed with the lack of the same scale spreader around (mainly the "doors"). I am also really confused how lego didn't throw in any firing cannons! Not like I wanted them badly or anything but it shocks me that in an official lego set theg would use brick built cannons. The design and price is amazing and you can tell that the lego designer was not slack in off with this one! Buying this ship pn the first day for sure!

I wonder how there going to make salazar as a minifigure. I can almost guarantee you he will have a new hair mold. Also is anyone else wonder I what Jack sparrow will look like? The original one back in 2011 looked really good with the hair mold and the printing. I don't know if they can make him much better. Also congratulations Scarilian for getting 1,000 posts!

I didn't notice that before. Interesting. I guess he is a ghost so he must've got his eating cut off before he died? Or maybe it just fell off. Beats me

Interesting. It will be interesting having exclusive DLC's for this game. I am also very interested in the lego worlds soundtrack, along with the easier building techniques.

I think it depends on how big of a part it has in the movie. If it's like the flying Dutchman's triple guns they really need need make them fire. But if its just decoration and never fires in the movie then I can see them skipping out on it. -

Interesting i nver really looked at that. We might get a new double cannon mold. Or they might just put two original cannons back to back. I can't see lego making those cannons that might be on the under deck if there not supported by anything. -

Does anyone else have the feeling that we might be getting a new cannon mold? There is no gun deck on the silent mary so the only way lego can add cannons is to put them on the top deck which they are if you look at the movie set picture. If I know lego's ship width that they normally stick to. Have in the cannons on the top deck will barely allow enough space for the deck itself to pose figures. Just an assumption.
