    10251 Brick Bank

After seeing LegoSjaak's photo-shopped Brick Bank with the extra row of windows, I felt compelled to alter my already altered Bank Here's the corner shot. more windows by Shawn Rau, on Flickr and it with the rest of the city. the cityg by Shawn Rau, on Flickr I will likely add a row or 2 of bricks to the bottom level as the bank really needs to be BIGGER! i have plans to make it bigger but its either the ghostbuster's firehouse or another bank....

    10251 Brick Bank

Yes i ended up using about 80 piece extra from my lego bins, If i had made the laundromat not as deep and not cared about mismatched colored walls i i could have done it just the two sets i bought, here is the front area of the laundromat insides. The back room is waiting for inspiration to strike and the top floor is now waiting on a bricklink order.. laundromat inside by Shawn Rau, on Flickr work in progress by Shawn Rau, on Flickr

    10251 Brick Bank

Finished my full corner mod of the Bank. Once I have funds for legos again i plan to buy one more set and expand the side with out the doors onto another 16x32 plate and add a ATM area. as i am not super happy with the end of the non door side, all though i have a bank in my home town that looks quite a bit like this bank. The laundromat is still being built.... IMG_20160107_121244 by Shawn Rau, on Flickr IMG_20160107_121322 by Shawn Rau, on Flickr

    10251 Brick Bank

I had intended to just buy one set, but when I went in to buy it yesterday morning the manager at my Lego store started asking if I was going to mod it like I had last year's set, long story short I bought 2 sets and have started on my version. But the price was increase from last year's set really hurt.

    [WIP] the beginning of Propville

After getting the Modular bug real hard recently i have had to expand my display space and since i was doing that i decided to just make it into a city. my next step is investing in road plates

    [WIP] the beginning of Propville

I have considered brick built bases and roads, and have a hand drafted layout sitting on my desk, but that will be quite a ways down the road due to cost issues.

I plan to steal your balcony idea, it adds a much needed element to the rear. I'll try more windows in the front tonight.

When i expand it i will be expanding on the back side. im thinking of just stretching the whole structure by 4 studs. When i was first remaking the first floor to fit my idea i had planned to build it much wider but as you can see in the second picture my display space is limited i even had to remove my MOC to fit in the DO.

    10246 Detective's Office

after building the first floor of the DO i was cheesed off about the alley walls ending short of the ceiling as well as how cramped the pool hall and barbers was. I opted to by 2 sets and widen the both sides. now that im finished with it i will likely go back and expand the pool hall side all the way to the back of the base plate so i can fit a nice bar and stools.
