What is a partisan x wing? As if repainted cash-grab action figures werent bad enough, now we also have repainted cash-grab vehicles.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

I wonder if theyve learned from the past years and cranked up the production on this year's calendar. people are gonna want multiples of that. -
looks great and a great idea, but as others have said, and correct me if i'm wrong, the mandibles in the film version look quite a bit shorter.

Looks great. I like those fancy design things on the outside wings better on the 9492 tie than on the new one. They simply look better.

What did I expect? Least I expected, as others have said, was some updated building techniques and parts to smoothen the rough edges. Great, saved myself 500 euro. Thanks Lego. -

I think if they re-released the old 10179 falcon without at least updating the cockpit and giving it a semblance of an interior, and increased the price to 600 - 700 euro, people would still complain and rightly so. -

Lol. Lego is probably phoning this one in, knowing that a lot of people are suckers for minifigures and will buy it anyway if it features a new c3po with printed arms or a luke with a new random freckle. -

Too young what, a couple of months ago? If the customers (children) change all the time, as you say, then surely it would make more sense for lego to keep the same system sets on the market longer than the current six months-one year instead of rehashing it every so often. Which is how it used to be in the old days. I remember the same playmobil sets on the shelves for years. -

I'm disappoined not in that it's an update of the old ds, but that it seems to be a faithful update of it. They didn't have to include the throne room again, i always thought it stupid. and vader's tie ... i don't know, i will have to see it (and the price in euros) before deciding. i have the old one anyway. if i update, i will use the old one for spare parts and mocs, if not, i will still be happy. im sure the new han will be found in at least 7 sets by the end of this decade. -

Hey guys, there used to be a cool MOC thread that I can't find, with system scale brick-built droids and aliens like the ones that come with the ucs sandcrawler (but much better). Any idea? I cant find it with the search function. -
One measly tusken raider in the landspeeder set is beyond pathetic. An easy pass for me.
-
Hopefully we'll get a tie fighter micro, to go with the wave 1 x-wing. i find they scale cutely with the death star.

What do the bounty hunters have to do with the Death Star, unless I missed some obscure EU reference? What I really really really but REALLY hope is for the stormies in the upcoming DS to match printing-wise those coming next year in the battlepacks. Not counting on it though. -

Id buy a new Death Star even though I have the old one. Id just dismantle that and use all those bricks for those MOCs Ive been meaning go do for ages. I wouldnt mind something in the style of the old Kenner Death Star, either. I just hope they update the figures, meaning officers with uodated batman legs, new caps etc etc. -

69 euro isn't going to break the bank, but when it's 69 euro this, 80 euro that, 90 euros the other one ... and these are sale prices we are talking about here, not rrp ... it starts to add up. i like lego, but im not as crazy into it as some people here. i collect other stuff too, and for 80 euro, the price of a rather ho-hum discounted imperial shuttle, i can buy two high quality star wars action figures from bandai - check out their recently released mace windu to see what kind of quality 40 euro can buy you. and people can pay 40 euros for a minifigure! at the end of the day, those companies are lego's competitors too, not just megablocks or whatever. -

No because VAT rates are different in different countries. Belgium has it pretty bad for eg. The problem with these ridiculous prices is that even with the usual Amazon sales, a 30% reduction isn't going to make a grossly overpriced set more attractive for buyers. Im still not biting on some of the TFA first wave sets, despite the sales. Stuff like the X-Wing are still too expensive at 69 euros (c. 30% off, ie). -

yes i was serious. how about something like the old kenner death star playset? you can hardly do anything with the current death star rooms, theyre so small. either way, i am not expecting much to be honest. xertainly nothing that comes close to the old death star in terms of size, figures etc. those days are long gone, especially for 400 euros. -

wish they gave us a modular death star released in different installments. just think about how amazing it would be. it needn't be spherical either. -
REVIEW: 76052 Batman™ Classic TV Series – Batcave
Bolingbroke replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Licensed
a very good review, yes. wish more reviews were like that. id buy two of these if they were 200 euro. the tan pieces would come in handy for tattoine mocs and id make a bigger study/ mansion facade. but at 280 euro, lol, no way. -

google 'shf obi wan'. see that action figure there? amazing right? costs only around 35 euro including shipping from japan, all six inches of it. why 9 tiny lego minifigures would cost enough to justify selling this set for 290 euro, i honestly dont know. it's a swindle, no two ways about it. And the shf is still a star wars product, so no 'licensing' excuses there either. -
i modded it to look like the simple bike from the old droid escape set.

yeah, i know. when i was a kid i had a he man and i used to pretend he was rambo. another way of looking at it, still, i think that even as a kid i wouldve preferred the old blasters. it's nit as if you can actually hit anything with the current functional ones. thing is, lego goes to such lengths to give us realistic minifigs, printing, head molds and so on and so forth, and then what, they give us those silly blasters? as i said, even as a child, i wouldve hated them. -

unless lego decides to quadruple the vip points sale promotion, this set will still be too expensive, even with double points. i was kinda thinking of getting it in march with the sale promotion there, but then i saw that you can only get freeze in april, and only with dc purchases. i have zero interest in other dc sets, and i dont want to get this set without a sale, so i think lego can keep everything, thank you very much.
