  1. I think it's high time this set (?) got its own thread since it is completely separate from the anniversary Castle For those who are out of the loop: Images recently leaked of a 3,000-piece "Medieval Village" set. I can't share the pictures since they're confidential, but you know where to find them. Discuss!

    Future Castle Sets?

Some members in the Nexo Knights 2016 thread wanted a thread to discuss rumors for the next "real" Castle theme, so here it is. In this topic, you can: *Talk about all things Castle *Talk about rumors for new Castle sets *And make wish lists if you so feel. Hopefully this will sort out some of the clutter in that thread. Happy posting!
  3. I've been on here for almost nine years and I didn't know that Updated!
  4. I would, but I don't think I can! It looks like all I can do is add tags. A moderator seems to have gone in and removed the 2023 but the set number still isn't there.

    Could LEGO remake Fright Knights?

This is a nice upgrade! It looks tidier and is realistic enough to be used elsewhere. Maybe two Fright Knights figures in just a few years are a sign?

    2023 Majisto GWP

This is such an unsatisfying set. A retro throwback, but neither a copy of the original nor a modern-era update. The same design flaws as it had 30 years ago. Two lackluster minifigures and one new reprint of one of the worst Castle torsos. A ridiculous GWP threshold just to obtain it. Wait for the Market Square, folks.

    A post-hiatus reintroduction

Welcome back! Always happy to see another Castle fan on the forums.

    2023 Majisto GWP

I was fine with it because an out-of-place Majisto was better than no Majisto. If he's going to appear in a second set, I'd prefer them to change something about him.

    2023 Majisto GWP

It would be weird if Majisto randomly switched factions. Here's hoping we get an updated Dragon Master or at least a new torso print. It would be a shame if the figures were the exact same as they were in the castle.

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

I disagree. It's ornate, yes, but looks quite a bit like typical ceremonial jousting armor from the 15th-16th century. I could absolutely see it appearing in a CMF series down the line.
  11. I can't find the original source right now and my bad if I'm misremembering, but I am pretty sure Lego has brought up the prohibitive cost of making a new goat mold at least once. If Lego isn't making goats because they're "niche" I can accept that, but we'd all be better off if they just admitted it instead of leaving it up for speculation. I agree with @zoth33 that they've been negligent when it comes to making run-of-the-mill animals. Considering one of the most mundane farm animals out there a "niche adult interest" is as fascinating as it is bizarre.
  12. I find it difficult to accept that a multi-billion-dollar corporation can believably cry poor about having to create one (1) new mold that it also knows will be very popular : )
  13. I have bad news for you about the very first castle Lego ever made haha

    [MOC] Tower in the Forest

Cute little build! Doing less with more, and the purple roof gives it some unique flair. Nice work.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I'm not sure why some people seem to think that there are fewer details in this set than usual. The interiors look just as decorated as any other WV set, maybe even more so. I'm pleasantly surprised by the building on the left being a music store, I don't think we've gotten one of those before, period!

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

This looks good! It's different from what we usually get, but no town is going to have the exact same architecture. It's definitely pricey for two small buildings and a vehicle, but I prefer it staying at $100 then being a larger set and losing its "quaintness." Hoping the building on the left is a bookstore, the one on the right seems to be a toy shop or emporium of some kind. The trolley is a highlight, nice to get a unique vehicle after all of the cars we have gotten over the years. I'm glad that Lego hasn't fundamentally changed the Winter Village line like it has many of its products recently.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I think that a village inn would be a slam dunk, and I'm actually surprised that one hasn't been made yet.
  18. ^ And the new barding piece fits on the old horses, but not the helmet.
  19. We somehow made it through nearly a decade without a single Castle set. I'm sure we'll find something to talk about!
  20. It's pretty eye opening that the majority of people who have voted so far believe that it's been 30 years since we last had a great castle. As I remember it, the 2010 King's Castle was universally loved, not only for how it looked, but its innovative modular system and the fact that it wasn't an open-backed layout like many of its predecessors. If anything, I'd like to hear the rationale for why that one is not a great set.
  21. I maintain that the Fright Knights have the most potential as an "updated" faction. Imagine switching out sets like Witch's Windship in favor of gothic-style architecture and some vampiric elements...

    40567 Forest Hideout (GWP)

I feel like they could have pulled off an Ewok village-style set that would serve as their home base. The River Fortress is pint-sized for a flagship set, even in the 90's.

    [MOC] South From Gettysburg

That withered evergreen in the back is nicely done. Neat SNOT usage as well!
  24. I hate to be the killjoy but it's likely that Wooden Duck is referencing the GWP rather than a set we don't know about. The article was published on May 14, around the same time we found out about it, and the original hideout itself is in the picture they're calling a "clue."
  25. That's nearly a reasonable size in comparison, which just goes to show how huge the blacksmith is. I think the MMV buildings would look good next to the castle.
