Does anybody know what a rough cost of parting out and getting the parts on bricklink via UK sellers would be? UCS Falcons in the UK tend to go for between £800 and £1200...

Hi, I don't post that often, normally just read the threads, but knowing a fair amount about Tolkien, the books, and the film adaptations, I have to say that The Hobbit would make a perfect licensed fit for Lego. In fact, if it didn't out perform something like Prince of Persia or even Pirates of the Caribbean, I would be pretty surprised. Whilst I would love Lord of The Rings, its clearly a more adult aimed book, with some adult themes running through it, so I am unsure if Lego would take it up. The Hobbit on the other hand is a pure children's fantasy, and would fit perfectly with the company's outlook. It will be interesting to see if they do make a move for the licence. My dream set up would be a Hobbit line of sets, with a couple of Lord of The Rings exclusives for the AFOLs. Whilst I also like the Star Wars license, it's got to be better than a ninth Tie Fighter... rich

I have only just seen this, and I must say I think it's one of the best things I have seen. Brilliant work!

Hi, Spent a good few days building this for my daughter (and yes I enjoyed it immensely too!). Hope you like it. Actually not quite finished yet, but nearly there. Inside contains hallway, throne room, prison and treasury, so I'll try to include a few more photos when I get chance. Rich

Hi, Not sure if this is the correct forum for this MOC, but thought was worth showing. Rich

Hey thanks for the nice comments and feedback, yes, I will probably add the cordoned off posts and possibly some book shelves, although I will build these seperately and slot on, as this already took a huge base plate. In terms of the stained galss window, it is from set 6091. Could a mod move this to the relevant licensed forum? Thanks! Richard

Hi, Only just joined this site. Done a couple of MOCs. One is a standard Castle which I'll upload at some point, the second was this attempt at a Dwarven Mine, inspired by the Lord of The Rings and the Mines of Moria. Mainly built these (especially the Castle) for my daughter to play with, but err yes I like doing it. lol Plenty of room for improvement, so appreciate any feedback on building techniques etc. rich

I need to take a few more pictures. I have these of the side and back of the castle. The inside is still a work in progress and quite basic.

This is fantastic. The detail inside is superb.

Thanks guys, I agree, I think it needs a bit of rubble, I might open up a wall on the side and perhaps the back, and also add some more debris, I was thinking of adding in some structure to the top of the columns, but I might change this to the bottom. I don't currently have the pieces for circular columns, so this might be a good compromise. I had also added below my first moc that I did before this. It's a basic Castle, but I do prefer it to the big packaged sets. It's far sturdier, and my young daughter loves it!

Hi, Just joined this site & forum. Adult fan of lego, in particular the licensed stuff like Star Wars and Harry Potter. I have done a couple of MOCs, which I do partly for myself, but also my young daughter to play with. Where can I show these? I have done a standard castle, and also an attempt at a hall from the Mines of Moria from LOTR. rich
