Is anyone planning to use the new detective hat from the leaked mini figure series for Henry Jones Sr? It’s not perfect but I think it’s closer than the old pith helmet piece is and makes me wonder …

I’ll say it - I enjoyed it. It’s my least favorite one but I’m glad I saw it and it didn’t tarnish the memories of the other four. I wish the ending had more punch though. (ironic I know)

Finally saw the movie! We had the movie theatre to ourselves because everyone was seeing barbenheimer. LEGO definitely could have made a few great sets from that movie it’s such a shame they didnt

Yes that’s the problem with the Henry Jones hat. I never had that problem in 2008 or maybe I just didn’t notice it because I was a kid. Makes me wish even more that they had made a new hat for him.

I finally got myself one of the sets :) I got the fighter plane chase. It’s larger than I expected from new small detailed lego but I really miss the play features of the original version. Has anyone else had trouble with minifigure quality recently? This is my first lego set in a long time and the hats come off super easily.

Have any of the smart design people here put any thought into if you could replicate the original Fighter Plane set’s wings-fall-off play feature into the new set?

Nobody “got” the temple of doom cancelled! If LEGO chooses not to release it that’s purely internal. There’s not a group of angry Hindus out to steal your legos. They called it Last Crusade and yet the crusaders are still here and active online. I want the Temple of Doom set as much as, if not more than, anybody. The original was the only Indy set I wasn’t able to get, but this fabricated culture war is so idiotic that I can’t even be upset about the missing set I’m just upset that y’all are taking it way out of context. I just got to see the other 3 sets recently and I’m in love with them all - the Hovitos Temple is the type of set I dreamed about as a kid. I wasn’t planning on getting that one but if the Temple of Doom isn’t in the cards maybe I will…

Instead of trying to print spiderwebs on his face they should have just put a spider in every box

I don’t hate the new minifigure but I’m still trying to decide if I’ll be able to like it as much as the original. I think they both look as much like Indiana Jones as the other they’re just different styles. The leg and body printing aren’t nearly as detailed as the original but they get the job done. I really can’t complain about the face printing, the original never looked much like Harrison Ford either. Just Han Solo with a beard. When did Lego start doing all their minifigures in the same cartoonish art style? I missed a few years… Torn on the new hat mold. I don’t mind the dark brown for the hair (And I assume grey for the Dial of Destiny sets which will help differentiate a lot which is something that was missing for Crystal Skull variations) but the whole mold seems squashed down. I’m trying hard to like it so we’ll see !!

I won’t because you’re not, but you’re certainty acting like you are. I’ve waited 15 years to get my hands on a lego temple of doom set since I missed the first one and I’m pretty bummed about it too. If they don’t release it I’ll wait a year or so and try to get the original used online. It’s good that we have a built in alternative really.

This is good. And your parents have a really strong reason why they didn’t give you the fourth one yet but you don’t know what it is and you get really mad about it anyway

That’s a bit hyperbolic don’t you think? To me it’s more like seeing four potential birthday presents that you might like to have and then actually getting 3/4 of them on your birthday. Which, to me growing up, would have been incredible.

As far as printing I think they definitely hold up. They were top dollar back then. I think all the designs would benefit from dual molding and side printing technology and it looks like we’ll be getting some of that so I’m very excited. With the exception of the fedora which has stood the test of time until now, all the hair/hat pieces could really be better from the old line but those are easy to swap out edit: typo !!

I’m enjoying seeing the frenzy in the forums but I will be sad if I don’t get to finally get the Temple of Doom set. All this outrage will probably make the price for the original set skyrocket even more huh?

All three sets have grown on me, and I assume the fourth one will too once we can see it better. Does anyone else feel like the sets don’t fit together aesthetically? Like maybe LEGO’s using this as a trial to see which direction (if any) to take the theme in the future? Temple of Doom feels like a Ninjago type play set (I’m half expecting the giant statue to be removable and posable as it’s own figure) and Plane Chase feels very Speed Champions inspired, Temple Escape obviously is taking the star wars diorama route, and the Well of Souls is somehow unlike any set I’ve seen before. I don’t think they’ll look necessarily bad next to each other but it’s a lot of bold and contrasting choices

What are the odds that the boulder isn’t seen in its starting position, more like halfway in that photo, and it starts closer to the tree giving more of a 10 stud track than a 5 stud one? Right now it’s basically just a drop down to the entrance and unless they have a feature so that a minifigure can jump out of the way just in time I don’t see what the point is! The other set leaks have grown on me since first impressions though so I’ll wait and let this one do the same

I’ve changed my mind the plane is larger than I realized and I’m happy with it - As long as the wings can fall off!! Years ago I stocked up on seagulls from the build a minifigure bin at a lego store so I’m ready!! Still deciding what I think about the other two…

Uh oh! They don’t look as good as my nostalgia needed them to!! I really like the car from Last Crusade and the plane looks alright, although maybe a bit small. The others don’t look great to me but I look forward to seeing better pictures and details. This is exciting!
