    [MOC] Carpenter's Shop

Looks really good brick built. Took up your offer of discount on the instructions. Already started collecting the parts.

    [MOC] Carpenter's Shop

Really nice creation. The photo's really show this off well. Might have to get the instructions and build this. If I do, I would maybe try and do a mirror build to put it next to the 10278 Police Station so that the advertising banner on the side of it can be seen due to the level of the roof garden above the carpenters workshop.

    10278 Police Station

I know what your saying regards the Post Office in your area, as this is quite the norm in many areas nowadays where the Post Offices have downsized. But myself and I think many others (although can't speak for them) who would like to see a Post Office, are thinking of the post offices of the past that tended to be in grand buildings that were around in the era that the modular series are perceived to be in. here is an example of a the former Post Office style i mean

    10278 Police Station

Really liking this set on first impressions, which is more than I can say for the previous 2. Some good features and reminds me of an old style New York Police Precinct (PP) Yeh there are some cons (pardon the pun) like the donut outlet could have been wider etc. The only thing I would have liked to have seen was the inclusion of a Police Car like one of the 2 that were shortlisted on the Lego Ideas competition. Have the triangle/wedge tiles used on the stairs been used before as not seen them?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

There was this quote from Guyon2002 last week 'apply the usual grain of salt'. Although they don't claim to know what it is, but to me that is a clue that some sort of cooking food is involved. Wouldn't be surprised if it included some kind of eatery, as its been a couple of years since any form was in a modular going by this logic: 2014 Parisian Restaurant, then 2 years without followed by 2017 Bakery in Assembly Square & 2018 Downtown Dinner then 2 years without. So 2021 food outlet of some sort included. Just a hunch!

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Has anyone else noticed that the boat/ship in 602006 is actually 2 of the boats from 60095 joined together, hence the hole in the hull!

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion

Nuremberg toy fair 30th Jan - 3rd Feb and New York toy fair 16th - 19th February. Not too long too wait then, thats if they allow photo’s this year at all, as if memory serves me right there were no photo’s from any fairs last year. Might have to rely on something from Legoworld in Copenhagen 14th - 17th Feb which used to be good for pics of new stuff.

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion

Maybe the fire truck is part of the space theme and is a new/updated version of 6614 Launch Evac 1!

    10264 Corner Garage

If this had a mirror image of the left hand side on the right side ie doing away with the actual garage area with the roller shutter, it could make a not bad looking hospital once the petrol pumps had been removed also, as the canopy area would be the Ambulance arrival area for the A&E/ER. IMO

Maybe there will be a police vehicle and 1 or 2 police minifigs included.

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion

I see where you are coming from regards the numbers, but I don't think there will be anymore engines for release in 2019 if you go by the same principle of the Deep Sea Explorers theme, each vehicle/vessel in the sets had a number 60092 DS Submarine - Sub numbered E01 60093 DS Helicopter - Sub #E02, Helicopter #E03 60095 DS Exploration Vessel - Personal Watercraft (PWC) #E04, Inflatable dingy 60095 (could therefore be E05 or the un-numbered sub), Boat #E06 60096 DS Operation Base - Sub #E07, PWC #08, Plane E09 So with the latest fire sets there appears to be only a few numbered ie 60215 4x4 is #1, 60214 Truck is #4, 2016 Tiller Truck is #7 and 60217 Plane is #10 I would reckon the other vehicles etc in the sets fill the missing gaps although not officially numbered. 60213 Dockside - RIB could be #03 60214 Burger Bar - Truck #04, Motorcycle could be #05 60215 Fire Stn - 4x4 #01, Jet Ski could be #2 60216 Downtown Fire - Motorcycle could be #6, Tiller Truck #7, Helicopter could be #8, Remote control Scoosher could be #9 60217 Fire Plane - Plane #10, ATV could be #11 Hope you see my logic in the numbering.

    [MOC] BRICK SQUARE POST OFFICE

Hi Bricked1980, what programme did you use to design/create this ‘build’ ie LDD etc?
  20. scottwb2010

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

So with the DD having 2480 pieces which included a car and adding several hundred more in the new Modular, this could push it into the 3000 piece range which we havn't had from a Mod building before, apart from the 48 wide Assembly Square at 4002 pieces. So as you say maybe 3 vehicles (for a garage) or a more complex layout (Police Station). Good to see we are back onto the speculation again, whatever each of us would prefer to see built!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I've seen pics of this Police station before and I'm with you on this in thinking this would be an ideal building to base a Lego Modular on.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Although there are no leaks or much info to go on other than a twitter reply with Police mentioned, we can still speculate to what it might/could be. As much as I want a Police Station and hopefully the clue in the said twitter reply is a good clue, I don't think it will be a Police Station (or PS for short) per say. The logic in this reason is, we have the Pet Shop and therefore already have a PS. So if it is to be a Police Station building, I am going for it being called Police Precinct!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Is there anything 'cast in stone' that the modulars are to be released at beginning of January? So you may be right, the release date could be different for next year, as it is only the last 4/5 that have been released in January albeit the AS was released in Europe in Nov and Jan for the US. March has been another common release time for the earlier Modulars so a later release could be possible.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

And then when the waiting is finally over it will be the same as every other year with everyone's responses from 'Awesome' and 'excellent', 'Fits perfect with my modular ton' to 'Meh' , 'not what I was expecting' or can't believe they have released this instead of that, etc
