Wasn't Revan one of the more expensive aftermarket figures? I bet it's safe to say: not anymore :P

This. On-screen credit for everyone involved is standard practice.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

I assume LEGO will produce enough to cope with demand. IIRC the only TFA set to sell out the first day was the X-Wing. -
The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)

Two randoms can confirm that the most requested set is coming next year. Get your hopes up, people! -
:O Are there set leaks already or are you refering to the picutre taken on the set of the film?
-
Any word on the color scheme of the Y-Wing? Is it white and gold as per usual, black and white like the new X-Wing, or something completely new?
-
As if $700 for the last one wasn't bad enough. I feel more sorry for New Zealand - $900 there.
-
I think you've lost the right to complain with the Aussie prices having just been posted :P How/where did you get it? Can we see a picture of it in hand at least?
-
I remember reading somewhere that lisencing conflicts forbids SW from being in dimensions. I read that some time ago through, and not sure if it was legit, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some clause in their current contract along those lines.

I never realized that the box art wasn't a real picture. I mean, obviously it's been photoshopped to have backgrounds and effects and stuff but I thought the models were real pictures, not CGI images.

Australian prices: Hovertank - $60 AT-ST - $80 TIE Striker - $110 U-Wing - $120 Krennic's Shuttle - $140 Ultrabuild figures - $40 each

I think he's asking about why your orthodontist is also your LEGO dealer.
-
The only thing I dislike about these sets is the lack of an included hairpiece for Jyn
-
There is no way the embargo is on if the products are on lego.com
-
Normal display of sets will cause a bit of dust collection. I think it's just trying to be accurate to what it'll actually look like when you have it :D
-
That video seems very spoiler-y for the movie... Some imperial figures leaked, they look pretty good. The new helmet molds look great, printing is excellent as per usual.
-
So they're definitely marketing it as an updated set, rather than a completely new one.

Is there anything from the OT that has not been built?

RE: "Who buys their kid one LEGO set for that much money?" I think I've mentioned this before but it went largely unnoticed, of all the stories I've read/heard, and of all children I know with 10188, all have spent (on average) over a year saving their pocket money just to buy it. When it comes to parents buying it for their kids - yes, that will happen, but from my experience it actually is the kids themselves who are buying the set.

I don't know... the Sandcrawler, Ghostbusters HQ and Disney Castle are all $500. Obviously we're not getting matched US prices but I don't see us getting screwed over by that much. If it stays at $700 I won't be surprised.

I'm with you buddy...

If it retired there would have been a "retiring soon" label on it. It's still available in Australia, so I assume that there's some sort of manufacturing issue and they're just pulling it until they can produce more.

Can we get a TLDR?
-
This thread has just been going in circles since the pictures leaked. "I don't like it, it's too much like the old one" "It's got better minifigures though" "That doesn't justify the price increase" "Inflation + 200 pieces" "Just an excuse to increase the price. If they're going to do a rerelease why not just do 10179" "But 10188 sold well, this rerelease is for people who didn't get it" "They could've tried to make it different. I don't like it, it's too much like the old one."
-
Actually, it is correct. Those sets are system scale. 10179 is in true minifigure scale because it's in perfect proportion to a minifigure. Say the Han Solo minifig is a scaled down representation of Han Solo himself. The UCS falcon is scaled to match that. The UCS Slave I is also in perfect minifigure scale.
