Not sure what you're talking about, I'm looking at it and seeing pretty much the same print on both sides of the ship. I think it's just the low quality of the photo that makes it look different. While looking at the left side, I can actually see the top of the fin piece I mentioned earlier, so I'm 99% certain that that's actually what it is.
-
Who said anything about it being the same sticker? If it's the fin pieces (which it really looks like it is) of course the sticker would be different. The texture is alternating black and white, with dark grey along the bottom. That's too detailed for a grille brick. It has to be a sticker (or maybe we'll get blessed with a printed part).

Reddit user "Pegajace" has done a really good reverse-engineer of the set (don't know if I'm allowed to link it, but you should be able to see it in his post history). It appears that they've used 2 of a part like this one on either wing with stickers.

There is no way Lucasfilm will allow LEGO to alter the box art. LEGO has been using LF box art since 2005, and it has never been different to other products As for the Vader transformation MOC, looks great and only enforces my decision to buy it

Only a matter of time before people start saying "UCS AT-AT Confirmed because there's AT-ATs on the Snowspeeder box"
-
Is it just me or does the new Snowspeeder look smaller than the old one?

+1 on the spinning droid heads. I definitely think the method of attaching with one stud is the best way to go. A 3rd leg attachment would be great as well. Not really a new part but I wish they'd go back to the black heads with the small printed faces (from ~2012) and stop using angry clone

Can someone please answer this? This group keeps getting brought up but nobody ever says what it is or how to join.

Battle packs still at $23 here in Aus. Naboo/Yoda's fighter are $45, Landspeeder is $50, Phantom is $60, Skiff is $70, A-wing is $80, Scariff is $90 and Y wing is $110. The y wing is decent seeing that the tfa x-wings were $130/$140, but the rest are insane.

They probably just wanted to use a store photo in the background but didn't want to spend the money to go out and take a new one. The graphics designer probably liked the look of that one the best.

The UCS Death Star II, Motorized AT-AT and Taj Mahal are all in that photo as well, it's clearly an old photo.

I've been seeing LBM sets everywhere for almost a month now. Places are already sold out of the minifigures. We don't get the movie until March 30 though, which really sucks because we're just going to end up pirating it like the first movie. Yeah, all the places I've been to have had "product temporarily unavailable" over the price tag for the y-wing. Those sets that we aren't getting in stores are overpriced anyway. $70 for the skiff is insane. $50 for the last one was bad enough.

I'm not going to believe it until I see pictures Edit: forgot US winter is the wave that's already out.

Not immediately obviously. It'll be at least 10 years before another trilogy in the main series is made. Plenty of spin-off movies/tv shows though. Still, LEGO isn't losing the license any time soon. Disney and LEGO would be insane if they were to let anything change.

Someone mentioned UCS BB-8 and everyone just ran with the idea. Wow. When Delta Customs said "think outside the sphere" I just thought they were referring to Death Star and referencing the fact that it's not a rerelease.
-
No way we'd see the Falcon. If we see anything it would be the Snowspeeder, but I doubt that'll get shown as well. I don't recall ever seeing a UCS set at a toy fair (correct me if I'm wrong)

Bought Yoda's starfighter, duel on naboo and the y-wing microfighter. Pretty good sets. Haven't had many issues with Duel on Naboo's jumoing feature. Just hit the thing hard and/or have the figure standing up.

Anybody else notice the handle underneath the speeder bike in the scout trooper constraction set? I hope it's big enough to use as a display stand.

Today I was lucky enough to find the new U-Wing in the wild. The store had Krennic's Shuttle on the shelf, so I asked the clerk if they had the rest. He brought all the sets they had out for me and I got my pick of the litter! The U-Wing was #1 on my list, so I had to get it. I published the review here on Brickipedia, I hope you enjoy it!

The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
Brikkyy13 replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
More like running out of source material. The only things that haven't been released as of yet that aren't massive star cruisers that would end up being 3000+ pieces are PT ships, an A-Wing and some TIE variants. -
The TIEs are way overdue for updates. As for a T-65, that's a bit of a touchy subject. I wouldn't expect them to release one any time soon with the TFA ones available, however there are two T-70s on the market right now (3 if you count the microfighter) meaning that LEGO isn't afraid to put a set that's virtually identical out.

One of the comments on that video actually makes a valid point. What about the future of the Han in Carbonite piece now that there's the updated hair?

Force Friday (30th September) promotions
Brikkyy13 replied to Richpepperell's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Why is nobody questioning the rumor of 5 of the same polybag? LEGO has never given away more than 1 polybag, 5 is completely unprecedented. -
Why is nobody questioning the fact that the promotion is 5 of the same polybag? 5 FO Stormtroopers just seems wrong. Why would they give away 5 polybags with every purchase, that's completely unprecedented and they'd probably run out of stock pretty quickly.
