What would be considered a "large" LEGO collection?
Brikkyy13 posted a topic in General LEGO Discussion
Whenever people see my collection they always comment on how large it is (even though I'll usually only have about 5% on display at any time due to space) and I'll usually correct them by saying that it's small compared to some people's. I have (as of right now) 466 sets and including lose pieces approximately 120,000 parts. I'd consider my collection to be small. I was just wondering what other people would consider to be a "large" collection?- 31 replies

LEGO makes a non-ABS prototype brick
Brikkyy13 replied to Master_Data's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Was wondering exactly this. The standard ABS is extremely strong for what it is (IIRC they can withstand something like 400lbs of force before failing). I fully trust LEGO to make any future products just as stable as the old ones, I just hope they don't rush into it too much and do the research to make sure it can last as long. -
Backtracking a bit to the reddit post linked at the start of the thread: it's not the first I've seen on that subreddit. Very regularily someone will ask "what MOC do you want to see lepined" What gets me the most is the army of people who are asking a company to steal someone's work. Those threads are essentially "steal this design please!" I doubt any of the people realize how it would feel to have your designs stolen.

Got Battle on Scariff and the Rogue One rebel trooper battle pack discounted at Big W. Pretty happy with them but would not have paid RRP for either ($90AUD and $23AUD respectively)

TLJ boxes will look like this

The worst part about reading through an old thread like this is half the images are gone

You must have missed it, Stash actually got some info from his sources regarding the set. He shared it a few pages back; A price of $600-$800 USD, 2 radar dishes, a possible interior and supposedly includes Hoth Han, Hoth Leia, Chewbacca, Rey, Finn, BB-8, Old Han, a Mynock and possibly C-3PO

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
Brikkyy13 replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Not sure if it's an error or what, but 75150 Vader’s TIE Advanced vs. A-Wing Starfighter is marked as retiring soon and in stock on S@H. Not sure if it can actually be purchased. If I had the money I might give it a shot -
I'm selling some empty set boxes, and someone has asked if I can ship to them. Problem is, the boxes themselves are some of the larger UCS sized boxes. How would I go about shipping them?

Another thing I just remembered; they can't really make it smaller without throwing the cockpit proportions off. Because LEGO doesn't do odd-studded parts, It's either what they had on the last one or what they give system scale Falcons. Also, I think everyone's just assuming it'll be a full interior. It could be just a partial interior, e.g. In one part of the ship just under one of the pannels. Look at this photo. Moving some of the structural support around could give a decent area for an interior section. All they really need to give us to satisfy a lot of people is the area with the Dejarik board.
-
I don't think the size will be reduced. The last one was designed to be minifigure scale. If they released one that wasn't, at a higher price, some people would be asking questions.

If LEGO can successfully sell 10188 in New Zeland for $800 for 7 1/2 years I think they'll be able to sell a Falcon easy. I don't see LEGO changing it much from the previous version, but hopefully I'm proven wrong. If it doesn't change much, a $600 USD price tag is good. If it has changes that warrant $800 USD, my guess is that we're easily looking at a 6,000 piece set. Either way, the original was $970 in Australia and I'm confident we're not getting it for less than $1200 if we're lucky. Most likely somewhere around $1400. Which, honestly, I'm happy to pay. The falcon has been my white whale since I got the Death Star and there's no way I'd pay $4000 for the old one.

Sorry if I offended you. My comment was merely pointing out that there are other people who are more reliable than you are at this point. If you are telling the truth about the interior I will happily apologize, but if you aren't I'd rather not see something like that mess with ForceGhostSolo and the episode 8 sets. If you want to discuss this further please PM me so we don't clutter this thread even more.

I don't think LEGO would even consider a limited production run considering the demand among the AFOL community.
-
You only have 15 posts, and I don't see anything in your history other than you saying it'll have an interior. I'll wait for someone who's been reliable before I believe this.

Battle packs are RRP $23 here in Australia (We can usually find them for $19, or get them for $15 on clearance if we wait until the end of the year). Watching everyone complain about a $15 price tag instead of $12 is kind of funny.

Same. I thought it looked pretty ugly, but then about a month back (edit: It was last christmas. Wow time flies) I found it for $200 and just had to get it. I was amazed at how big it actually was. I have it on display with the Slave I, R2-D2 and the Death Star and it dwarfs all of them.
-
That popped up on an italian site that was linked to in this thread a while back. Apparently it's for Episode 8, which means it's likely to be a First Order AT-AT. I doubt we'd get any 2018 info this early.
-
You can say that again. And to add insult to injury, it has 300 less pieces than the Slave I, which is $300 here. It makes no sense, considering it has less minifigures. I'd say maybe the exclusive cockpit is to blame, but the Slave I had one too.

Thanks. Knew it was fake, just wanted to see what it was. It would be hilarious if it was a real leak but everyone blew it off because it came out on April 1.

Does anyone have a screenshot of this april fools falcon? I can't see it.

Why is everybody saying there's no double VIP points? There are! It says it right there on the calendar: "May 4-7 celebrate Star Wars with Double VIP points on all LEGO Star Wars items and access to select sale items"

Battlepack looks great. And re:may the fourth promo being the R2D2, I thought that was all but confirmed a while back because didn't a trustworthy source (I want to say DeltaCustoms?) say "maybe we've already seen it" when asked what it would be?

The person in charge of LEGO's FB is most likely a marketing rep who knows nothing of what the company is planing
