A couple people mentioned a small set with rocket, now there’s a daily bugle too? The Star Wars forum has a seperate thread for that sort of stuff but you don’t have that here :/

Looks like a good wave for the Marvel collectors. New Thanos is awesome, looks like he can turn his head! Massive step in the right direction for big figs. I’ll definitely pick up Iron Monger since that’s one I’ve wanted them to make since I first saw Iron Man all those years ago, not sure about the others. Maybe I’ll get the Black Panther one. The Benetar is honestly disappointing, when I first saw the rumor for “UCS style Guardians ship” I didn’t think that meant “update and a stand”, that’s the same cockpit piece as before and the whole thing looks about as big as the 2014 Milano to me. Doesn’t have Gamora, Drax or Nebula and it still only fits two figures in the cockpit, what could’ve been a day 1 buy for me is now an easy pass.

Maybe it’s one of those pieces that’s color locked for whatever reason? I’m happy that the birds are included since I consider them a big part of the show but I kinda would’ve preferred brick built solutions at this point. A new mould wouldn’t have been that bad of an idea since it would almost certainly get used in City and Friends (the in-house theme) sets eventually. All the city designers would have to do is throw the duck and a couple doves as ducklings in one of the small car sets and they could pass it off as “duck crossing”.

The only thing I would put money on is a new set of keychains with the figures from the appartments instead of central perk. Maybe the fountain from the intro? Phoebe’s taxi might be another one if only for the fact that a lot of people want a minifig scale NYC cab. I don’t think they can make another set, but considering the amount of friends merch I see in stores these days it’s not out of the realm of possibility. I think this apartment set is a winner simply because it’s the main setting of the show, looking at comments around the place it seems to be drawing a lot of casual viewer’s attention because of that. CMF is probably most likely but would the casual fans buy into it if they were more likely to end up with a side character they didn’t recognise over one of the main 6? I doubt Ross and Phoebe’s appartments would sell (I know I wouldn’t buy them, especially if they were as expensive as the current sets) and outside of those there aren’t many more “iconic” locations in the show that I can think of. I’d guess we’re more likely to see more sets based on sitcoms in general since the target audience of a lot of those shows is the same. We’ll just have to wait and see how well the Sienfeld ideas set sells, that could lead to a Monk’s cafe set. They could redo The Big Bang Theory depending on how well that one is holding up in syndication? The Office is another one that they’ll probably do, I don’t find that show funny at all but there’s certainly a market for it. There’s two projects for it in an upcoming LEGO Ideas review, and judging by the amount of comments on the Friends reveal asking for The Office I have a feeling it’ll be approved.

Absolutely amazing, a must have set IMO. The figures are brilliant, glad the build can be separated. The chopstick poking device and the cat. Day 1 buy for me. My only nitpicks after seeing these photos: that clearly isn’t a duck, the entertainment unit that Joey built isn’t there (I suppose that’s why the canoe is) and Chandler’s door is all in one piece.

Ok, so even with the mando forge we just found out about there’s still another unknown set. Awesome, one more to help cripple my wallet.

Alright now I’m confused, which one of these is meant to be at the $800US pricepoint? The news thread has that one listed as 75313 which isn’t here. I thought the only unknown was the one that turned out to be the Mando forge and now there’s another unknown?

I need to see better photos but I think the bathrooms are missing too. Monica’s definitely doesn’t have one, but it’s meant to be tucked away and unseen anyway. Joey’s can usually be seen though so it’s absence is unfortunate. Still doesn’t change my initial reaction to the set.

OH. MY. GOD. Both appartments and Joey wearing all of Chandler’s clothes! This is better than any of us could’ve asked for. No bedrooms is annoying but again it’s BOTH apartments! Would’ve loved to see Mike and Emma over Janice but still this is amazing. Gladys, the canoe, the chicken and duck, the detail here is brilliant. Doesn’t look like the two apartments can be separated but should be easy enough to MOC.

Minifig scale Tumbler? After all these years? Can’t wait for this one. Probably too much to ask for the batpod to be in it too, but it should be a fun challenge to MOC one that can fit inside the tumbler. Figures will probably be Batman and Joker, I’ll be very surprised if they’re not. Now if they’d just put out the 89 Batmobile on the stand as a retail set I’ll be a happy camper. Got myself the 66 Batmobile the other day, awesome set but obviously incomplete without Robin (bought him on bricklink so the set is complete in my eyes). As much as I love the look of the large scale D2Cs I just can’t drop $400 on a Batmobile and keep up with other releases, but these minifigure scale batmobiles are a great compromise.

The original source of the whole hasbro license thing was the lego designer panel at one of the conventions, right? I’ll take the word of the actual set designers over MandR who just less than a week ago was claiming a non-existent 8 month long country wide lockdown was the cause of the 501st set being “retired” in Australia. We should stop bringing his bs up in this thread as that just gives him the attention he wants.

Greef looks amazing but that mortar trooper is disgusting. What is with LEGO and oversized helmets??? I don’t know why they insist on using that mould, the figure can’t turn its head while wearing that waste of plastic. They realised their mistake with the rebel pilot helmet but they’re turning a blind eye to this one for whatever reason.

Were Europeans able to preorder the helmets, probe droid and Razor Crest?

As predicted, no preorder in Australia. LEGO has to have something against us at this point. Makes me not want to buy the set now, sending customer service an email right now and asking what’s up because I’ve lost count of how many times they’ve done this to us. Ship still looks on the small side but I like the design overall. The only thing I dislike about this set is Hunter’s hairpiece, but if I end up getting the set I’ll just leave the helmet on. I thought they would’ve used one of the Ninjago hairpieces with the headband moulded in, but now that I think about it those pieces probably aren’t accurate and I’m happy the new moulds went to the helmets instead of the hair.

Leather pants but yes that’s definitely it. Season 5 episode 11 for anybody interested. Can’t wait to see the rest of the figures. Please let Joey be wearing all of Chandler’s clothes 🤞

Luke wasn’t in this one but your point still stands Advent Callander sounds great this year. I saw a photo of a Hallmark ornament that was a LEGO stormtrooper wearing a blue ugly sweater, if it wasn’t fake maybe that will be included too?

Unbelievable that you guys keep doing this. How many times do we have to say that some of us don’t go looking into it as much as you? The majority of us just saw the clone wars episodes, saw the same characters in the trailer and thought “cool they’re back” and didn’t think anything of it, waiting to see the actual story. Not to minimod but it’s the same people who do this every time. They’re not going to learn if there aren’t consequences. At the very least you should be removing the posts with the spoilers but they’re still there :( Razor Crest could be preordered in other markets but not Australia

This is hands down one of the best MOCs I’ve seen in a while, the shaping is absolutely amazing, you should be very proud. The droid rack though, that’s what’s holding this model back. If it could fold out and deploy the droids like it does in the movie, not just extending out of the front like the official lego sets, that would take this build from great to perfect.

For two, I agree with @Alex_South, glad to see people coming around and it is indeed something I would’ve loved as a kid. The show really does look like A-Team in space and I think it will resonate, but for what it’s worth I’m still not entirely sold on the show myself. I didn’t really like the backdoor pilot episodes in TCW and I fear that the whole show will be about protecting the kid in the trailer... recycling the plot from The Mandalorian isn’t a good sign when the biggest complaint on Star Wars for the last few years has been a lack of original stories.

They’re not confusing them, they’re just going by the seasons here in Australia. Just go with the flow mate, we Aussies always gotta do a bit of mental gymnastics when someone posts a price in USD or some other currency and we never ask anybody to change up they way they talk.

This is definitely the driving factor, other than low stock. I’ve got 4 myself (2 on release day, 2 more a few weeks back) so I’m definitely part of the problem too, but not to the extent that some people are. All the sets are going to a small group of army builders for sure. I’ve seen posts from people who bought 20+ when they were able to find them, cleaning out whole stores. Also seen posts from people claiming to be friends with store owners/managers who bought the entire shipment and the sets never even made it to the shelf.

After I posted this I saw a comment in a Facebook group indicating that @MandRproductions had a video as to why it was “retired early” here in Aus, so against my better judgment I checked it out. He’s spewing BS as usual, claiming that covid lockdowns are the reason nobody could buy it. Maybe if he did 5 minutes of research he’d know that: 1) the country isn’t on permanent lockdown like he’s making it out to be 2) the retail stores that sell lego were open during the lockdowns 3) the lockdowns only affected one city at a time and as a whole we have spent more time free to live our lives as normal than we have spent on lockdown because there is no community transmission of the virus

Here is the email I sent to LEGO: Hello, I am wondering why set 75280 is seemingly unavailable in Australia. This set was released in August last year and has been out of stock on the LEGO website since then. In addition, this set has not been available in retail stores since August either, be that a LEGO certified store, or a retailer like K-Mart, Big W and the like. I have been told by these stores that they will not be receiving new stock of this set, yet this set has not been marked for retirement. Furthermore, social mediaposts made by customers in other regions such as the Americas, Europe and Asia indicate that there is an abundance of this set in their stores with international customers being able to buy this set by the hundreds.I repeat, my question is why is set 75280 not available for purchase in Australia? Please do not tell me that the pandemic has disrupted the supply chain as not only is this clearly not the case in other markets, this is not the first set that has been unavailable in Australia whilebeing abundant in other markets. Lack of stock is an issue the Australian market has been facing since well before the pandemic, with examples including 75150, 75087, 75175, 75262 and most recently 75254 all becoming unavailable in Australia after selling out on their release date. Why is this stock problem a continual issue for the Australian market that has existed well before the pandemic? All I want is to be able to buy 2 copies of set 75280, spending less than $100, but it has been 8 months since there has been stock in Australia. There is clearly a demand for this set in this country as it is now being sold on the secondary market for hundreds of dollars. When will it be back in stock on the LEGO website and why are Australian stores telling me they are not receiving stock when other countries' stores have an oversupply of this set? Unfortunately we can't comment on each individual retailers stock levels as we're not in charge of those. We do have a warehouse in Australia which is responsible for making the sets available in your region, but the supply and demand definitely influence its stock levels. All I can say is that I'm definitely passing your feedback to the right team here and hopefully they'll see that they should be making more of these so you can add them to your collection. If you're really in a hurry and would like to have these sets as soon as possible, you could order them using a region where this set is currently available and possibly deliver them to a friend, and they could then reship the set to you privately. I'm really sorry about this, but I really hope we'll be able to make more so you can get building soon.
