Captain Lalale had heard the rumours about a mighty sea creature devouring ships. Which were nonsense of course. Bloody landlubbers don't know anything about the sea. It is mighty and dangerous indeed but there is no need to make up such stories! And then the tentacles appeared...

Book II Challenge V Category B: Mitgardian preparations
Puvel replied to Puvel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks Titus! Been wanting to build a house with those greens for a while now! The ballista was a bit small to earn a complete baseplate so was happy to create a scene around it. Thanks Henjin! Kept the ground monochrome on purpose, figured it's in an indoor courtyard so would be cleane up every now and then. The only texturing I did was use both tiles and plates, hope it shows better in the added pics. Thanks Soccerkid! If you say it looks perfectly Mitgardian, it must be true Thanks Garmadon! It's my BoBS sig-fig cutting the wood indeed, that should explain his absence there for the last 2 months or so Thanks Kai! Great to hear it's lively Thanks Exetrius! Nice complements there -
[SoNE Ep. XIV] Rodia - Visiting an old friend
Puvel replied to Puvel's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Thanks! There's about 2 minutes of footage in Clone Wars that shows blue domes, pink flowers and palm trees so was happy to build something requiring some colours :D -
Before joining the Academy, Puvel spend many years on Rodia helping his family in the trade business. He had fond memories of adventures exploring the cities, jungles and swamps of the planet. As a young lad he didn't think of all the dangers so he and his mate Phir Abrivia went on hunting trips, often getting themselves into lots of trouble. Most of the wildlife was already extinct, either by hunting or just by plain extermination. There were still creatures to be found though, you just to go to some remote areas. Getting chased by huge beasts makes you feel alive and killing them is a proper way of showing you're not just some kid. Of course those kind of 'details' weren't mentioned when discussing your trips with the parents. On his first leave Puvel decided to visit Rodia again and meet up with his friend. There probably wouldn't be time to go hunting but Phir knew plenty of decent bars. Talking about the old days while having some drinks isn't too bad either of course.

My entry for Category B, for the Alliance -
Just noticed that I used the wrong number in the title for the previous chapter. I'm sure the judges would have noticed, but to make sure I'll just point out that the build for this episode is for Rodia, not Hapes :)

Lovely build, the archive looks great with the scrolls storage. Lovely colour combinations too -
The briefing was a short one, the Black Sun was getting too dangerous and had to be stopped. They were spread out over the galaxy, troops had to be dispatched to a number of planets. My team was lucky enough to be assigned to Hapes. We all knew stories about Hapes. A world with lush forests and the most beautiful women in the universe. The Hapan cities were build in bright colours, the estates aiming for a balance of nature and civilisation. It sounded like a perfect place for a relaxing holiday really. Our target was Darshe Ovarpre, a trader with contacts to the Lorell system. Unfortunately that was also were she got involved with the Black Sun. We'd almost feel bad for taking her out, she sure was beautiful.

Book II Challenge V Category A: Stopping the Algus messenger
Puvel posted a topic in Guilds of Historica
Even in remote mountain villages rumours of developments from throughout Historica arrived. Merchants love to gossip in order to attract new customers. Lately they even talked about the return of the heir to the throne! Stories grow a little bit every time they get repeated and one can only guess how many taletellers it took to reach the village. Still, this could be very big news. To find out the truth, the village send out messengers and scouts to all corners of Historica. So far, none of the messengers had returned with official news. Some of the scouts did make it back though. The reports talked about heightened activity among the Algus. Something was definitely going on. The village elders decided to send more scouts into Algus territory hoping to discover one of the messenger routes. Troops were send along to intercept one of their emissaries. Soon an ambush was set up near a path in the mountains. -
This is always ongoing as it would be impossible to hunt all the species in a couple of weeks. Keep in mind you can only go for the Rodian or the Geonosian for now as you don't have any xp yet.

King's Port Advertiser and Ship List, Vol. 1, Issue 7, December 616
Puvel replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great write up! Hmm, The Mercator sank on it's maiden voyage, its sister ship sank on its 2nd trip and now the Clearance got lost and captured on its maiden voyage as well. I should look for a new ship builder, there is obviously something wrong with the designs! Luckily my little HMS Alice is still sailing bravely after a year- 39 replies

[OL - Collab] Château Richemont - A Royal Vineyard on Le Bellan
Puvel replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Oh wauw, that's an epic chateau alright! The garden and sloped pathway look amazing, can imagine your eyes hurting after a while of building that The wine tasting party looks fun, the carriage is a beauty. Having 2 kinds of different grapes is very clever! The winemaking proces is a great scene as well. Putting it under the actual vineyard is an excellent idea. And of course there has to bread and cheese involved, how else can you taste wine- 12 replies

Lovely scene you made here! The building looks great, the little pieces of green overhang on the floor and wall are an excellent addition. That waterpump is brilliantly build, as is the lantern. Great job!
