Wall Phase II -
A lighthouse was build in Kings Harbour to ensure the safety of the growing Corrington fleet and its crews. Building the little tower for the Corrington v Carno case was fun so I decided to make a lighthouse in a similar style, hope you like it! Will probably license this as a medium residence as it doesn't really fit in any other category I think.

Thanks TitusV! Thanks Bregir, and thanks for the tips on those masts! Will read up on tutorials about building ships and rigging and try out paper or cloth sails, as they are better for rigging. Rigging is a bit of a pain I realise now, the mast aren't very stable now and even just the one line made them fall over multiple times Added some close-ups now for your viewing pleasure Thanks Fuzzy MacFuzz! Very kind words there, will look into swivel guns for the next build! Spot on kaiju! These are basically rearranged Sea Cow sails. When I watched the LEGO movie I really hoped they'd have the ship as a set. Of course it had to be the biggest box of them all so I doubted for a while but it's an absolute beauty and was totally worth it!

A couple of months ago one of the flotillas of the QuickWing trade route came under attack by the Clearance. The Corrington fleet protecting the flotilla defeated the pirate and carried on sailing. Captain Horatio Cavendish of the HMS Alice saw this as an opportunity and took over the ship. He managed to get the ship back to port and offered it as a price to Puvel. Puvel was happy to invest some doubloons in the ship and made it seaworthy again. He offered the position of captain to Mr. Cavendish who was happy to take up command of a larger vessel. The first mission would be to make the seas safer so the ship will join the brick sea purge.

Thanks Bregir! The lighthouse of Pharos was the inspiration for this one! Thanks Elostirion! The original plan was to build a cliff or small island with a lighthouse on top. Started with building the lighthouse though and I didn't have enough bricks available to make a properone. Could have put it on a cliff with a height of 2 bricks but that wouldn't be high enough so just went with some landscaping. Licensed it as a residence before your comment, but commerce would make sense as well indeed

Great build indeed! Excellent cart design from what I can see, the aqueduct and how the water flows in the pool is very nicely done

Excellent idea! Hopefully the captain earns enough to invest into modifying the ship a bit. Enlarging the cabin a bit would get him more space for customers, not a lot of space for all the 'merchandise' to be 'sampled' now

Hehe, those fishes jumping out of the water are very clever Looked at the Flickr album, the sails look great when dropped down!

Lovely set of builds, you captured the different styles of Empires nicely! Wonder why only Corrington and Olean have to be bribed though, was the Eslandolian messenger too small to bring a gift? Great way of placing the map in the Eslandolean build btw!

[OL-FB3] The Man from the King's Court-Part 4
Puvel replied to Franco Clarke's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Really enjoyed the story, it was excellently written! The angle of the first pic is great and the new ship has a nice curve -
Thanks Captain Wolf! Glad you like the angles :D About the greens, I usually make a base in one colour and then add some patches of layers in some other colours. Thanks obelix! Only had the one base at first, wasn't completely happy with it and added the second one. Happy to see it worked out! Thanks SilentWolf! The main reason for this build was trying that sloped wall so good to know it adds to the build Thanks blackdeathgr! Yay for charming surroundings! Thanks Ayrlego! Looking forward to see what you'll do with the slopes

The colour scheme is excellent. Really like the roof technique as well. Having the wooden beams on the exterior and interior is very clever. The fountain, the door and the little staircase are all nicely done, great looking headquarters! -
Great story and pictures indeed! The fish eye shots from the security cameras are a brilliant idea!
