[PORSCHE] GT X
marceriusLV posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi! Yes, you have stumbled upon another Porsche in this forum :D Built for LEGO Technic Ultimate Contest "BUILD THE PORSCHE OF YOUR DREAMS" I present you my dream Porsche. A blend of past, present and future: sleek and curvy lines, rear mounted flat 6 engine, 4 gear manual transmission, rear wheel drive, full independent suspension grand tourer - Porsche GT X. I did not base on particular car, just went with flow. What started as a base for something like 911 developed to something Targa like car and ended up as next gen 928? I am quite satisfied what I managed to achieve as this is first completed so called supercar for me. Yes there were tons of things I wanted to put in the car, but I decided to scrap them, because they worked like crap (for example: raising rear spoiler in high gears, sequential gearbox). I believe that the greatest challenge to implement high number of functions is to make all mechanisms as small as possible and at the same time incorporate them in chassis and that takes time. For me it takes 2-3 months to figure out how to fit all wanted things in small places :D It was great experience to build this car, I hope, that next supercar will be better looking and more functions packed :) Some WIP pictures Gallery with more pictures here Just wanted to share my creation and get some feedback from other members, so please share your opinion. Cheers! -

Epic! I have built your brick built version, works good but I had problems to route all pneumatic tubes. This design is so clean and good looking! Great work -
[MOC] Mark 1 VW Golf GTI
marceriusLV posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi! Wanted to share my latest RC car. So here it goes: Built for fun and for use in Latlug events. I used Nico71 Honda Civic chassis as a base, small modifications here and there (different placement of shock absorbers, reinforced servo motor with more brackets). The goal was to make something similar to Mark 1 VW Golf GTI Hope you like it :) More pictures here- 7 replies

Good list of great MOCs! Thanks for mentioning my Phoenix, no doubt there were better trucks than mine, I was sure that the E-Core will take the prize. E-Core design & modularity is just mind blowing.- 4 replies

Hello! I am new member here and I wanted to share my ultimate MOC so far: More than a year I am planing, building, disassembling Toolcat 5600. Why so long? I want to make it functional, completely RC. Some time ago I ordered few S-Bricks, that changed everything I had in my mind, so I still have only chassis and some body work lines to understand how big it will turn out. My Toolcat will have: 1) RC drive, no gearbox (I think I will not be able to fit one in) 2) RC steering with different steering modes 3) 4x4 4) Independent suspension 5) RC dump bed 6) RC front jib 7) 3 point hitch in back 8) On board compressed air distribution system (autovalves) 9) Pneumatic and PTO connection points for auxiliary units 10) Quick release system for fast front attachment change 11) Few attachments to play with I do not promise to end it soon but I will keep posting progress reports. If you are interested or have some questions please feel free to post. I will post some pictures soon ;)

I am still working on my Toolcat 5600, next up is Lamborghini Veneno (studless, no RC, 7+R gearbox, suspension and so on, actually I am working on chassis and gearbox already) and maybe then SaaB Aero X. -
Toolcat 5600
marceriusLV replied to marceriusLV's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is tough one. It seem's that I have challenged myself way too serious than I wanted. I managed to work on body and some internal layout of PF elements, also found place for two SBricks. Real pain is front jib, still trying to find solution for raising/lowering as large linear activator does not have enough travel. Maybe some custom solution or using different liftarms... Will see. Still to figure pneumatic system and its use via SBrick, rear mount for 3 point hitch as well PTO points And finally some pictures. -

[MOC] Yellow race car
marceriusLV posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
My first attempt to build a race car. Shape is OK, maybe front is a little bit ugly :D Built in one evening for Latlug event in Limbaži. For rear wheel arches I used cut SMC TU 4x2mm hose. I did not hide battery box because this car was intended to drive around in exposition room. Battery box change is fast :) Features: Drive - L motor Steering - M motor Return to center steering I like how rear part of a car turned out. Kids had fun, they loved to drive around with it. Also to crash... Front is fragile and holds to the chassis only with two pins. I think that explains everything. Same story about the front axle. Only two pins holds it to the chassis so after a crash usually it was broken too. Steering system and front axle: I have short video about it in Flickr More photos here Cheers!
