21348 Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons and D&D CMF

The cmf looks incredible! I especially love all the player characters with male/female swappable faces. That was such a fantastic decision, I would love to see more of that in different LEGO themes with non-character minifigs. I love all the new molds. The Tiefling is my favorite of course. I'm definitely going to use it to create my D&D character.
  2. Not to mention it's a really important scene to Grogu's backstory and clearly we'll see more of him in flashbacks with the way they ended the scene.
  3. Kelleran Beq looks good and the gold details definitely elevate the minifig and the robe design of the actual character. Despite what others are saying, this set needed to happen. I simply wish it had included at least one Naboo Royal guard and a couple of Shock Troopers instead of the 501st again but more clones is more clones. I do hope the BARC build is substantial though and we really, really need Grogu to come with his pram at this point. That would help the value of the set because $30 for just a BARC with a sidecar seems absurd. There has to be some other build(s) to help justify that. Or better yet, this set should have been the H-type Nubian Yacht instead of a BARC, despite the BARC being more prominent in the scene.
  4. Or, how about Dirge from the Gendy Tartakovski Clone Wars? That would be incredible.
  5. I absolutely hope so. Not a single LEGO Droideka has nailed the design in my opinion. They've all been way off and most are completely out of scale. The way this leak is worded makes me think there's a possibility that it might use some new specialized pieces to achieve a more faithful look and I would be ecstatic about that. Regardless, I'm very excited for this set since Droidekas are my favorite droids in all of Star Wars. Oh, and I would almost bet money on the legs for the minifig-scale figure utilizing the newer mech finger piece from the Marvel and Ninjago mechs. As for the May 4th promo, that's actually a brilliant promo. No fomo from exclusive figures but still provides a great value to Star Wars fans while also tying in to the Phantom Menace anniversary. It's a great thing, so I fully expect all the usual youtube personalities to absolutely hate it.
  6. Wow, all of these sets look fantastic! The Dragonstone temple is especially impressive looking and I really like the design of Kai's climbing mech and the Wolf Mask shrine. Arin's buggy is better than I expected but definitely at the bottom of the list for these sets. The best set imho is young dragon Riyu. It's such a great scaled-up version of the figure and includes 3 good figures for $16 is an absolute win. I also love the new dual-molded sword as well as the sickle pieces, both for minifigures and the large action figure-sized versions.
  7. It's the newer style of Harry Potter hair
  8. As someone else had already stated, the silhouette is meant to be a placehilder and not an actual representation of the figure included. The silhouette of the Scimitar itself hase me very excited as it appears to be a decent size though I am concerned it might be blockier than I would like for modern rendition of the ship. Of course I will withold judgement intil we see the whole thing. It’s already promising that it appears Qui-Gon has a poncho(and perhaps increases the likelihood Cal will get one). The possibility of Saw Garerra potentially coming with set makes it even more exciting.
  9. The ship models look great, especially the Invisible Hand. The Falcon is just whatever. I'd rather they stick to capital ships for this subline. It's disappointing they don't come with anniversary figures... or figures at all. Having a relevant figure to place on the stand would have really put these over the top. One other thing about the Invisible Hand, it doesn't look like it has a feature to rip it in half like was leaked so that's interesting. Not a huge deal to me personally but it would have been nice. I also don't see tiny representations of the ETA-2s in the hangar which was also supposed to be a feature, though looking at the scal of this ship, I don't see how that eould have been possible anyway. Interesting that the bridge of the ship is just a green 1x1 tile just clipped into place. I feel like that could have been done with a more secure connection.

    Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

I recently got the new X-Jet for $22 without the minifigs(I have the original X-Men sets with the far superior figures and the recent cmf X-men)and I absolutely love it. It might be one of my favorite Marvel sets in recent years. It captures the contours and sleakness of the plane so well and the new part usage is fantastic, plus the interior looks quite nice and is plenty spacious. It really tickles my nostalgia for the 2000 X-Men movie blackbird toy. I played with that thing so much as a kid, with it's lights and sounds and the weird chunky light up missiles and extendable claw. Good times. The only thing I felt needed to be fixed on the new set was to add a pair of 1x8 dark blue tiles to the exposed studs at the back. It's baffling that LEGO couldn't spend the extra fraction of a cent to add those to the model to make it more sleak and elegant, especially considering the astronomically absurd price they're charging for this set. It's really a shame how the price completely overshadows the set itself because it's really quite nice, especially when you compare it side by side with the original and, I thought that thing was ugly and chunky back when it released.
  11. Sorry, by pricey I mean it easily could have been shrunk down to a $40 set and didn't need to be quite as big as it is
  12. The Taintive IV hallway scene looks excellent. A little pricey in my opinion but it makes for such an excellent display piece with some decent figures and of course Fives puts it over the top. I really like this style of hallway fight scene. It'll look great displayed next to the Luke vs Dark Trooper scene. If only we could get something like this for Marvel featuring Daredevil. Sadly, LEGO would consider that too violent.

Batman (DC Superheroes) 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Hush and Clayface would both be fantastic choices for the Batman 2 if those rumors are true. I'm all for some left-field choices for villains and ones we haven't already seen a hundred times. Plus, the minifig and set potential would be greater in my opinion. Maybe we could finally get a Clayface minifig similar to the games using that slime head piece from Vidyo.
  14. I know! I really love how they managed to maintain his proportions and adorable chonkiness, just upscaled and brick-built. I'm so excited for this set and the fact that it's only going to be $15 AND comes with 3 great minifigs, including Arin's best design, Sora with a wonderul new hair piece and one the excellent wolf mask warriors(I thino that's what it co.es with?) Sounds like an absolute steal. Also, something about his design and role in the show really reminds me of Bumpy from Camp Cretateous and seeing him grow up and become a rideable companion like she did makes me love him even more, as Bumpy has been one of my favorite inclusions to the Jurassic franchise in a very long time. I'm still holding out hope we eventually get a grown-up Bumpy from the LEGO Jurassic World line at some point. I mean, the absolutely GOATed Ankylosaurus mold is right there begging to be reused in a new color and you know how much LEGO loves to use teal. Agreed. As much as I absolutely love LEGO animal molds and especially Star Wars and Jurassic Park/World molds, I think Ninjago strikes the perfect balance with a handful of specialized molds for heads, wings, etc with the rest being proper brick-building. Having entirely large molded dragons would be an awful move for this theme as it would mean the dragons would be fewer, simpler, smaller, only in big expensive sets to off-set the mold cost, far less articulate, and far, FAR less unique. Ninjago has had some really incredible and innovative dragon builds over the years. Taking that away would be a massive mistake.
  15. I actually quite like the Riyu build. It's certainly not perfect but it's still pretty cute. I especially like that new molded head. Forsee it being reused in the future for a large buildable turtle or something. I don't have Arin or Sora in their first appearances so I don't mind their reuse here.

Which is funny because a Sentinel would make for a PERFECT buildable figure in the style they've been doing for the past few years.

Batman (DC Superheroes) 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Y'know, that'd actually be really cool. I'm jumping the gun a little bit but I think we can clearly expect more of the same stuff later in the year or next year, I would at least love to get a Batman Beyond Batmobile to go with the rest of the collection, plus it would make sense to include after doing bmtas sets.
  18. Seriously, I can't even get a single, PROPER tBoBF set, let alone one based on the Battle of Mos Espa, and as bad as we all want the Fondor Haulcraft, that's sadly never going to happen either, I feel. We'll be lucky if we get a single set based on the final season of Bad Batch at this point.

Batman (DC Superheroes) 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Wow... It's just devolved into self-parody at this point. Not only is it the same Bat-vehicles and the same handful of characters over and over again, they threw in a mech, a buildable figure and bike literally no one asked for(sereiously want to see the demographic breakdown for this set becaus it makes absolutely no sense), and still somehow managed to make another over-priced Batmobile even MORE overpriced than the last several Batmobiles. Is this a cry for help or are they actively trying to kill off what's left if this theme? At this point, just relinquish the rights and let someone else actually do something with the brand. Just let Mega Construx have it, they would at least treat the brand with more respect than this, even if their brick quality sucks.

Batman (DC Superheroes) 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Man, it's depressing to see the leaked lists for dc sets anymore. "Here's a handful of batman sets for the year and maybe half of them are minifig-scale system sets with batman and the same few villains over and over with yet another version of the batmobile or batwing" I wonder how much longer LEGO is going to even bother keeping the license considering it's been on life-support for years. I have some hope James Gunn's DCU films might breath some life back into the franchise but I wonder if even that would be enough to convince LEGO to make propper DC sets again. Like, all I want at this point is a proper King Shark bigfig like the one from the LEGO DC Supervillains game but it's never going to happen...

    Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

A Surtur set is by far the most interesting set of these reveals to me and I'm very glad it's cheap, though it might actually be too cheap as I would expect a Surtur build around the same size as the large action figure style we've been seeing the last several years. Everything else is a remake or covers material I'm not super interested in.
  22. Oh jeeze, I meant to say Malak but yes, it is interesting that that was a choice that was made to make a Sith so similar for TOR mmo, though I guess it was part of the marketing strategy to pull in fans of KOTOR.
  23. New pictures of Fives makes him look much better but the cloth piece on the shoulders just isn't working unfortunately(assuming that's actually a cloth piece he comes with and not something the person just threw on there). Wow, that Darth Malgus is incredible! He's going to look so good next to Revan.
  24. If that Fives is legit, then I think it looks on par for what we have come to expect from LEGO Star Wars in recent years. Not perfect but pretty decent. I'm not going to lie, an $80 confrence room for the Death Star set sounds utterly atrocious. I can't think of a more boring, uninteresting Death Star setting that they could have possibly come up with, and for that price? Forget it. Looks like I'm bricklinking Cal if this is true and that's all the set is. A $30-$40 diorama set with all of the main Imperial officers and Darth Vader would have been fine but it's double that price and doesn't contain even half of the characters that were actuall in that scene. That's a giant nope.
  25. I mean, that would still be interesting because it would be unique and not dark red but I would absolutely prefer a brighter color.
