I am very excited by this! I hope they end up being closer in style to the Hero Factory and Ninjago episodes. The title is intriguing, if not oddly worded. "Journey to One" just sounds a bit odd. I think "Journey of Unity" or something might have been a tad better.

I always love seeing great Pokemon mocs! It looks great, though I agree that the SW shoulder piece would probably work better than the Noble Ruru.

That looks incredible! I wish I had gotten more Hero Factory sets because there are some great pieces like that mask. The head looks great.

Wow that looks incredible and I like the weapons. The only thing I don't care for is the mask choice, despite how awesome the mask is.

I think Kopaka looks a lot better on the box than he does in the promo image. I like that he has backwards Vorox armor on his shoulders and I like that his mask uses a stud for the scope. Comparing Terak and Melum, they appear to be identical save for Melum only having 2 claws on each paw instead of 4 like Terak so Melum even has fewer pieces than Terak. Unless I'm missing something, he is just a white Terak who lost 2 claws on each paw. Also, anyone else notice that it appears we are getting new gear pieces with axles sticking out of them on all of the creatures? That appears to be how the functions work. Also, I'm very glad they managed to put functions into the creatures despite their small size.

I'm very excited by the prospect of a cgi Bionicle Netflix series! I know it won't be on the scale of Ninjago, but one can dream. EDIT:Upon closer inspection on the background image of Umarak he appears be in some kind of... labyrinth. Given that he is basically a CCBS Pan, it might be safe to assume next year will take place in what is basically Pan's Labyrinth! I'm down with that.

Honestly, I think the whole reason they did that is to promote the uniter gimmick. It makes sense from a marketing standpoint and I'm pretty sure that's the only reason it was done this way, heck maybe Kopaka gets a more prominent role in 2016 the way different heroes were more prominent in Hero Factory from year to year. 2015 is the Tahu show, 2016 is the Kopaka show, maybe 2017 is the Onua show. Honestly it isn't much different from what I expected except that Melum is a disappointing clone of Terak instead of a cool wolf or something. I'm not sure what people were expecting of a set called Kopaka and Melum aside from, well Kopaka and Melum, especially since the it's the price of a Toa and a creature combined so it's not like they are charging us more or something. Well, compared to the larger Toa anyway, because Kopaka is still a larger Toa.

I really like Umarak despite his gappiness. It appears hwe might be another skull villian that is based on Pan, the mythical being. His mask is very cool.

I really like how Onua looks, the mask is cool and his hammer looks very cool and more complex. He looks a little gappy compared to say, Kopaka who, if you look at his armpit, seems to have a lot going on under the torso shell. Hopefully Onua looks bulkier from other angles. Tahu's swords appear to have an interesting jabbing function and I like that he uses golden skull armor on his shoulders, it complements the elemental flame piece nicely. The MoCo looks epic, if not a bit elephant-like. There is a groove around where the mouth should be so If you look at it like the 'trunk' is a beard thing similar to Vakama, it doesn't seem as odd.

Wow they look amazing! I love all of the new masks and I'm blown away by the new torso shell, new torso with some kind of function and the new leg piece on Kopaka used as a body for the creatures. I like the creatures and I don't mind that they all use the same head as it looks really cool, although I'm a bit disappointed that Melum looks like Terak and that Onua is the same size as the rest of the Toa. I'm not sure I like how Onua's shoulder armor is attached but we'll see how it is in the brick. Lewa's lower legs appear to be unique builds rather than shells on bones which is cool. In fact, there seems to be quite a bit more technic-y stuff in all the sets, I like that. The Toa all look very solid thanks to the new body pieces. All and all I am stunned by how amazing these look. Well done LEGO.

Onua looks incredible! The creatures look great as well, the mole especially. I'm curious to see if Onua actually looks bulkier than the rest of the Toa, I hope so. I look forward to seeing the rest of the sets! Also Tahu looks good but his swords(?) are constructed oddly. I can only assume there is a function involved.

I like Lewa's tonfas and his mask. Gali's mask is certainly reminiscent of Nokama's. The spear is fitting and the single orange shoulder pad is interesting. I really like the new torso armor and elemental flame piece. It's really cool that they are bringing back the 2008 armor piece and it looks really great as shoulder armor on Lew and Pohatu. I'm glad Gali has the darker trans blue and I'm glad Lewa has ditched the Keetorange. I like the bear traps and how they each are a little different to fit the elements. Iam very much looking forward to seeing Onua but the sketch that I've seen looks good. It appears he will have a drill hammer that uses the power miners drill. It also appears he has Skull Basher rib cages for shoulder armor which would look pretty cool. I just hope he still retains his beefiness as the brute on the team.

Those sets look incredible! I'm very excited and I look forward to seeing Onua. I love the new pieces and Umarak is very cool. I also like the little Venus flytrap creatures.

I think the 'big reveal' was hinted at when the Toa said It's also been made quite clear that time is a very important underlying factor and I think the reveal will be something having to do with the Toas' origins. I actually wonder if they were sent to Okoto from the future so that at the end of the story they are sent back in time to complete the journey they just finished(does that make sense?), or perhaps they failed and had to return the current timeline to try again. Regardless, prior to their arrival on Okoto I think they've been around for awhile and have appeared in the past, the information we have been given thus far indicates they have as opposed to the idea they have just now 'been born'. Aside from what I put in spoiler tags, it is made clear that the Toa had memories but lost them, they use their elemental powers out of instinct despite not remembering or fully understanding them, the villagers had accurate depictions, names and information about the Toa prior to their arrival, including how their weapons worked and had utility functions, and Ekimu forged golden masks that happen to be exact representations of the Toas' elemental masks. I think it would be cool if the Toa are actually from an advanced space-faring civilization, or at least a high-tech city in the clouds or in orbit around the planet. I would like to see those planets in Okoto's solar system shown in the first story animation become a bigger part of the plot, possibly being explored, but only if the line extends past the planned 3 years.

I don't like Ekimu's voice nor do I like the goofy magical sounds used in the videos for the most part. This one was good, if not unpredictable however this little tidbit was particularly interesting. I think there is certainly potential for a big secret akin to the giant robot of G1, particularly with the mask of time involved and the Toas' mysterious past. I must say I do miss the tone of G1 compared to G2 in terms of presentation. The more epic, serious 'heaviness' is something I really liked though I do enjoy the humor of G2 I would just like some serious moments too when the time is right.

I want an over the shoulder third person action platformer. I want something like God of War or Darksiders combined with the Legend of Zelda and a typical LEGO game with a bunch of unlockable characters, like classic versions of the Toa. I would also like an explorable Okoto where you can do quests for random villagers who need help and of course plenty of stuff to unlock and loot with plenty of environmental objects made out of a combination of system and technic/CCBS. I would want the story of the game to be canon and include parts form the videos and books as well as new additions to the story. I really want a Bionicle game with fun combat and cool combos.

Several of those certainly have a Warframe-y vibe, I dig it. But yeah that one strait up looks like Frost. I agree about the masks. I think they could be used to nice effect but I'm not sure if they'll be used on other characters. I get the feeling LEGO isn't going to do that this time around though. After all, the villagers have their own mask rather than using a variety of recolored Toa masks as they did in G1. I think they are trying to keep things more unified(no pun intended) as much as I would like to see recolors of those sweet lookin' masks. From a story perspective, it's possible that with Ekimu revived, he'll start making masks for the villagers again, leaving the door open for LEGO to give villagers new masks and potentially making more villager sets or sets with villager characters in them with different masks than the one we have 7 of now.

I don't know what to think about new weapons. On one hand I think the ones they have now are perfect, Onua's warhammer/shovels especially IMO. On the other hand as long as they can make them new and interesting I'm okay with something different as long as they can use weapons that fit their personalities. I'd kinda like to see Onua get working drill gauntlets that look something like the below image. I'd of course want them to have a spinning function that you could turn with a gear on the side or something.

I'd rather Kopaka stay the same size for consistency and it would just make sense. His bulkiness is part of his G2 aesthetic and I doubt they'll change that much. I for one like it and would rather Melum was a wolf-like creature, which wouldn't need to be huge compared to Kopaka. I like the idea of Ketar being an armadillo that turns into a shield for Pohatu, but it puts me in mind of Power Rangers or something. Robot creatures turning into weapons for the heroes and such, IF that is in fact what they do. We don't even know for sure that the critters are aiding or fighting the Toa, despite the whole 'Unity' thing.

Great review. The set looks great but the price is horrendous. I'm not buying any of these unless they are on sale or I can get someone else to for Christmas or something. Even though most of us here know LEGO well enough to know these prices are unacceptable and aren't willing to pay it, unfortunately the masses will be and LEGO and Disney will still make a killing. Hopefully they take enough of a dint this time around they make some changes for the next wave of sets. I would almost bet money that the price hike is mostly Disney's fault. My votes are based on the set itself, not the price so I gave it a 'Very Good'.

NO. Please for the love of Mata Nui, no. Makuta IS evil, end of story. In some cases I like villians turning into dark hero-like characters but for an arch nemisis to turn good? Absolutely not and definitely not Makuta. He was pure evil in G1 and he needs to be pure evil this time around. He should also be a diabolical genius. The most compelling villains, to me, are ruthless evil geniuses who pull strings behind the scene. I liked the episode although a clip show was unnecessary although I like that the Toa kind of have a bonding moment about why they were bothering to go along with all of this and that shot of Makuta was really cool, very evil. Once again Onua FTW, the sound effect for his powers at the end was pathetic though. It sounded like a fairy's magic wand. Just like the sound effects for any magic or elemental power in the videos thus far. Sigh.
