Now this is more like it, actual sets! They look great, LEGO really dropped the ball by not having any of these in the first wave. Also, many of the new figures are excellent, my favorite by far is the Metal Dragon, absolute must-have for me! Hopefully if the theme lasts into next year we'll get a Monster Metal stage, probably a castle with lava and black spikes if the art style for the genre is anything to go by. The Punk Pirate Ship with the Squid Drummer is also great.

That's interesting because to me it looks like it'll open up just like the Imperial shuttle. Hot take, but I like the shaping of the cockpit in the LEGO version better than the in-universe version. It makes it more reminiscent of Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator and I like that. -

I love the Bad Batch set! The cockpit is definitely rough, but it heavily reminds me of the Scimitar so that endears it to me more than it should. WRECKER HAS ARMOR that is such a relief, makes me happy! From what I can see of the figures, they look fantastic! The green speeder is really neat, the BARC seems superfluous but it's not bad, just the exact same build as the 501st just with a slight pallet swap. I'm honestly super happy with this, can't wait to pick it up! Any chance it might release with the launch of the show? At the very least I expect it will be officially revealed with the release of the show. -

I'm 100% cool with the shuttle being sand blue. I think it's well within the appropriate color range, it's just noce to get a Star Wars vehicle set that isn't a sea of grey every now and then. I'm happy we're still getting all the BB members though I definitely wish Crosshair was in his BB uniform for consistency with the rest of the team and then get his new look in a different set because now there's little chance we'll ever get him in his Clone Wars armor. I still want to know whether Wrecker is getting an additional armor piece to bulk him up or not. It'll be really stupid if he doesn't. I also wish they'd use the special cyborg arm piece from Ultra Agents for Echo. -

That list is real for the cmf, I'm not happy about how many of the figures are What If-inspired. Only 2 for FatWS and no Zemo!?! Why are we getting a What If Peggy Cap in the cmf if she's going to be in the Iron Cap set!? -
The first picture appears to be a technic ball on top of a fez piece. In the 2nd picture, no that piece is color-locked to light bluish grey unfortunately. It has never been and will likely never come in a different color. It's too bad they couldn't cover it up better but I'm used to it by now, it's been a problem in other themes for years. It's like blue pins and red axles. Personally I love the Fluffy set. Fluffy is fantastic and poseable. My only gripe is there could be more devil's snare and I wish it was dark green, not black. I don't get why so many people are so down on this set.
-
Agreed, I definitely hope we get a 16×8 Flying Keys challenge set as that would integrate so much better. It's too bad the Forbidden Corridor can't stand on its own so well since the Devil's Snare section is so small. Also, I would have liked to see more Devil's Snare, not just 3 vine pieces but hey, it's something.
-
Yes they're supposed to. They're likely reversible heads. Idk if it'll include additional hair pieces though.
-
Fluffy Encounter for me, Fluffy was my favorite part of the first book/film and I was sad he never showed up again after that. The old Forbidden Corridor set is my favorite of the original HP sets, it's very nostalgic for me. The new buildable Fluffy looks incredible with the shaping, pose-ability and new head pieces. I really like the harp build and I'm glad it includes a small section with Devil's Snare but it's unfortunate that you can't position it under the trap door without one of the other sets. That's going to be the biggest thing going against it imo. Chamber of Secrets is a close second, it looks incredible and the Basilisk is awesome! I missed out on the original CoS but it's one I always wanted.
-
I love what I see of the sets so far, of course we don't have good pictures of the set I want most yet(Forbidden Corridor) but I really like what I'm seeing, even from the buildable characters, those are far more impressive than I expected, I just don't understand who those are for or why they decided to do them. Fawkes looks great, the flying lesson looks better than I expected, the CoS looks fantastic, love the Basilisk and Slytherin's head. Hogsmeade looks good, girl's lavatory looks good and I'm glad it can sit above the CoS and you can slide figures down from there. I like how the Forbidden Corridor combines with the other sets but not thrilled about how it works without other sets, though it's exactly what I expected from the layout of the interior. Fluffy looks awesome, I need better pics to see the build and articulation better. I'm also way more excited for the 2x2 random Wizard cards than the golden figures, those are a way better idea and I hope they continue that idea into future HP sets beyond the anniversary waves.

The new R2 looks good. I love the inclusion of Luke's lightsaber and the extendable head camera. I wonder what other features it might hide, hopefully it has the rocket boosters and his various tools -
I think we've reached a new low for image quality, for crying out loud... If he did it on purpose to get more attention, he can go Mega Blok himself... oh sorry, Mega Construx himself(sidenote, wow their names are truly awful). Anyway, from what I can make out, the set looks really good and much bigger than I anticipated. I still find it bizarre that golden Quirrell is in the Quidditch set and not this one, you'd think that would make more sense.

Agreed. It will really suck if they don't because printing alone doesn't adequately adress the difference in size. They don't even need a new puece, the existing space marine body armor piece works perfectly. It wouldn't be the first time LEGO dropped the ball on this though. -
That was definitely my assumption as well.

Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

It is extremely frustrating and often downright confusing. I suppose an argument can be made that one-off characters like Yellowjacket get nice new molds because it will likely be the only time they ever appear in minifig form while characters like Black Panther and Wasp are expected to appear many times with many suit variants so there's leeway to halfa$$ it now to leave room for improvement later. That said, they rarely do a ton of improving. Just as frustrating as the lack of new molds is the lack of standardized leg printing. We've had leg printing for years, It doesn't cost LEGO that much and it improves the quality of figures drastically. Back printing didn't used to be common and now it's rare to see minifigds without it. For some reason that isn't the case with leg printing or arm printing for that matter. You'd think the more logical priority would be to print legs instead of backs since the backs of figures are rarely seen or are often covered by capes, wings, backpacks etc. How many times have we gotten highly detailed back prints that were utterly useless because they're given to characters that will never bee seen without their back accessories covering them? I would happily sacrifice the back print of every single minifigure if it meant giving every figure leg printing. Reused faceprints are also frustrating, especially for main characters. I mean Shang-Chi is the main character in the movie named after him yet that's not enough to justify him getting his own faceprint? Seriously!? Bottom line, it still boggles my mind that they cheap out on this theme's figures so bad when they are THE most important thing in a superhero line. This isn't Star Wars where vehicles and locations are just as important and iconic as the characters that pilot and inhabit them, no. The superheroes and supervillains are what's important and everything else is there to enhance and support them. an argument can be made for things like Avengers tower or the Quinjet but those are exceptions, not the rule. I could easily go on but I think I've ranted enough for now. -

New BP gigure is good but man, I really wish he got a new helmet mold like the original rumors. Also the lack if print on the ear piece yet again is even more apparent and egregious this time around. He also desperately needs leg printing. It's really frustrating LEGO continues to cheap out on this yet again. -
Oh good, people had me worried for a minute. All the sets I care about are still coming out in June! The original Forbidden Corridor set is so nostalgic to me, I have high hopes for the new one. I think I might rebuild the old one just for fun while we wait for hd set images.
-
The gold figures look nice and these high quality pictures look like they're from the boxes which makes me hopeful we'll see full hd images of the sets very soon! For the figures themselves, they don't have much value to me personally but for getting a bunch of pieces in gold for the first time or parts that are somewhat rare, that is nice. I was not expecting the minifig stands to be gold, those will prove very useful as will the gold wands.

Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Wow, not at all whay I expected but I'm totally okay with with the cmf being based on D+ shows, though now I'm concerned by how hard to find certain characters are as I assume they'll be blind bags like the Loony Toons cmf and not the blind boxes of Vidiyo. The Iron Cap set is certainly a surprise. I'll be honest, I did not expect much from What If let alone it's own set when we have actual MCU shows with big set pieces that are ripe with potential. What If just feels like a neat side thing to hold us over until the next big MCU thing and not worth much attention outside of that. Unless some of the What If characters show up in Doctor Strange 2 or something, I just don't really care all that much. As for Mantis, without looking at my version of the previous minifig, I can't tell much of a difference. As for Black Cat, she looks good but the neck line looks terrible, that should've been skin tone, not a weird bodysuit type of thing, though given how poorly LEGO prints light colors on dark plastic, I suppose I should be glad they didn't. It would've looked horrendous. -
100% agree on both points. Also, I'm frankly astonished they made Speedy Gonzales given his history of controversy. Foghorn would've been a better choice but again, this is off topic. The buildable characters of Harry and Hermione are certainly a head scratcher. Who are they really meant to be for? Are the busts or full figures? Will the be statues or articulated similar to the Minecraft brick-built action figures?

Since this seems to be legit and leakers still aren't ruling out Wandavision, could that mean that one or both appear in the cmf or perhaps the D+ set isn't just one show but might be an amalgamation that includes accurate costume designs but the set itself isn't tied to any particular series or scene like the sets we've come to expect from Marvel over the years? A la Endgame sets. -

The homestead gwp definitely looks even better than I expected. I do hope they do these for the PT next. -
I do hope the Forbidden Corridor set also includes the devil's snare and winged keys just like the original set. The original is my favorite HP set and it would be awesome to get essentially a 1x1 remake using modern parts and building styles. I'm sure it will include the devil's snare at the very least. I just question if the tower section will be where the trapdoor is because there certainly isn't enough room for Fluffy to stand unless theres a platform for him to stand on essentially on top of the structure like the original set. I do hope that the chessboard incorporates into the rest of the sets so it's a part of the challenge rooms. If not, that's unfortunate but would make it an easy pass.
-
They're probably just carboard pentagons but I could also see them being printed 2x2 tiles like the tiles in Vidiyo. 1×1 tiles are too small to have printed characters on them.
-
I agree the chocolate frog cards idea would have been perfect for tbe minifig series but I'm glad they're doing it now, it's such a great idea!
