  1. Maul looks excellent, definitely hope they use the new hilt piece. I fully expect Ahsoka to be the exact same from last year and I'm totally fine with that.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I just saw the Daily Bugle leal and all I can say is WOW. It looks absolutely incredible! Now I'm kinda glad it's goi g to be another year before PS5s are widely available because I have to have this set! Blade and Daredevil alone make this incredible but the build so, so good and absolutely love what they did for Doc Oc's arms. Green Globlin's glider could have been better but I love how he's bursting through the building. Firestar is also a nice surprise and it appears that's who people thought might be Spider-woman, that is unless she is incuded and is just obscured in this image.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

For one thing Drax is missing and so is Gamora and Nebula technically and Starlord doesn't have his helmet. No I wasn't expecting "Rhino and Lizard" you don't need to be a jerk about it sheesh. I just find the figures "meh" Idk, maybe I'm getting sick of the GotG or just the fact that many of them have basically had the same look since they were introduced with slight changes( I'm talking MCU not minifigs) ntm their figures have always been pretty well done to begin with. If they had included Drax and Gamora instead of Thor and a Chitauri I think I'd be happier with it.

Oh it's definitely a good wave overall and hopefully is the start of a new trend for the LEGO Marvel theme. Honestly I'd be planning to get more of the sets if it weren't for how amazing the fall wave of Star Wars is rumored to be.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I mean none of the figures are new characters or unique in anyway. Rocket, Groot and Starlord are slight improvements of previous versions and Mantis appears to be the exact same as her previous incarnation. Thor and the Chitauri are repeats for this wave. For such a big, special, expensive set I expect better from the minifig selection or at the very least include the full team of Guardians. The best figure of the bunch is Groot but even then I can't help but feel "meh" about him since I have the previous figure and the grown up version. I'm also just ready for him to be adult Groot again, I wasn't a fan of teen Groot.

Dangit, the more I see the Benatar the more I like it. It's too bad the figure selection sucks but it's just as well as most of my LEGO budget goes to Star Wars and we're rumored to have a bunch of awesome big expensive sets this fall. It at least looks incredible all the way around and inside and out and if I somehow have budget for it after everything else I'll consider it. The stand is certainly a nice touch. The more I see the Iron Monger the more okay I am with it but it's still massively oversized. I might end up getting it but it's really low on the totem pole. Now I can't wait to see how the shrunken Sanctuary II turns out. The figure selection already tells me it will probably be a pass but I'll wait to see the build before I pass judgement.

I just saw the pics of Thanos' body, the new bigfig mold has 4 studs on the back!!! That was one of the things I wanted them to add to improve bigfigs in addition to removable heads. Now we just need them to start doing the legs like they do the arms.

Don't do that, don't give me hope! The Benatar looks good but I still prefer the Milano and don't really feel the need to get it. Nice to get more pics of the sets. I love that the gauntlet can snap, I'm glad the dragon flyer can fold forward like it should, Iron Monger looks really good in that flying pose but awful in every other, the interior of the compound could be better, the giant jail cell is a massive waste of space but I like the rest as bare as it is. I like the holograms of Captain Marvel and Rocket Raccoon and the nanogauntlet station with a nano gauntlet! That thing REALLY should have been printed though. I don't think they've ever printed that piece before but they really should have figured out a way to do it. Luis' van also looks much better than I expected. Edit: Wait, so Blade IS in the Bugle!?! Yes! I was thinking I'd have to wait until the Blade movie to get a minifig of him. He seems like a weird inclusion though unless Morbius is involved as he'd be the connection between Blade and Spider-man.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

The Dragon Flyer and Iron Monger definitely look worse than before imo. The Final Battle looks amazing and that Thanos is fantastic! I love the new bigfig head. The build itself is pretty nice as is the van. The figures look great overall though Wanda needed a different face and hair color. I really like the shield for Iron Man. I don't have a mk 89 so that will be a nice addition. I'm also really glad to see the blast effect with 2 studs is being used everywhere in these sets. They're perfect compliments to the blast effects pack and work so great for stands. The Infinity Gauntlet looks excellent and I'll definitely be picking it up too.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

One would hope that's the case but such a position is sadly naive. The unfortunate reality is that there are absolutely a lot of adults who are that petty, stupid and ignorant-- especially with the anonymity of the internet. It would certainly be strange if LEGO was treating the Legacy wave in the way they typically do with sets based on unreleased films(obviously Shang-Chi and Eternals are the exception given the films had multiple last minute delays)unless it's part of a larger Legacy push from Marvel which also seems unlikely as Marvel Legends has been doing Legacy figures and box sets for awhile now. Waiting for an announcement of a new LEGO game seems implausible as well as much as I would love a massive MCU LEGO game on the level of the Skywalker Saga game but given that that game has had problems and multiple delays and we still don't have a definitive release date 2 years after the reveal, there's no way they're about to announce another game that might pull away what little attention is still on the Skywalker Saga before it's eventuall release. No matter how you cut it, it's certainly odd but at least we've had some, albeit frustratingly blurry(seriously, do these leakers have a cell phone from the past decade? Why are these things always burry!) Set pictures that can tide us over until retailers post their renders.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

At least now that we have some pics I can confidently say the only set of the wave I need is the Final Battle. That saves me some money. As nice as the dragonflyer and Shuri figure are, I don't really need them and I have a sneaking suspicion Shuri won't look like that in Wakanda Forever. The Iron Monger is a big disappointment, there was absolutely no reason they needed to make him that freakin' huge. Even if they were locked into the $40 price range, they easily could have made him appropriately sized at $25-$30 and use the remaining parts budget for an arc reactor. Not to mention, you'd think for as oversized as it is they'd at least make it more accurate but no. I don't even need to see the Sanctuary II or the Benatar to know I don't need those either. I'm actually quite surprised at how great the Final Battle set looks. I was worried about the value of it given the price, piece count and description but the compound part of it is bigger than I thought and it's a big selection of important characters that appear to be fairly well done. Thanos bigfig is the real standout and I'm so glad LEGO is finally going to improve bigfigs even if it's only rotating(and I assume removable) heads. This better be how they do bigfigs going forward. It appears his bald head is a brand new piece with a single stud on top like I was hoping. Imagine if they start producing a wide variety of bigfig heads, hair and helmets! Not to get ahead of myself but the next evolution needs to be moving legs that are attached via pins like the arms and 4 studs on the backs of the bigfig bodies.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

From what I can see from the terrible pictures, the sets look good. It really sucks if the US isn't getting them until August, that really screws up my plans. Now all we're getting in June is Harry Potter...
  13. I agree, the Mortar Trooper looks great. I also agree that people need to give it a rest with the new Stormtrooper helmet, I prefer the old one too but it's clear at this point that LEGO has no desire to backpedal on this one like they did with the Rebel pilot helmet. Heck, the circumstances behind that decision may not have had anything to do with fan opinion anyway. The new Stormtrooper helmet is here to stay and we need to learn how to live with it.
  14. Wow, those figures look amazing! I can't wait to see the full set.
  15. I love the set and I already have it preordered. I'm really happy with how the figures turned out! The shuttle still looks great to me and I'm happy we can fit 4 figures in but I wish they could've squeezed room for one more in for when we inevitably get Omega in a set. At least there's some storage space for weapons. I'm glad Echo gets arm printing for his robotic arm. He could use a cloth kama but I get why he doesn't as they interfere with the ability to sit the figure on studs. I also like that they gave him a pale head but I think a white head would have been even better given how sickly he looks. Wrecker is easily my favorite and I definitely see his armor piece reused for Paz Visla. I just wish he was a little taller than the rest but if it bothers me that much I could just put a couple 1x1 plates on his feet. The face prints of the figures are excellent and I'm so glad they included hair pieces for Hunter and Tech. I do wish we got a glimpse of Crosshair's face but I'm sure it's just as good as the rest. He could probably have used a hairpiece too but his hair is super thin. I love Tech's helmet though I'll be a little disappointed if the visor can't flip down. I'm starting to think it can't since none of the pictures indicate that it can. Also, it doesn't appear he'll fit in the shuttle without removing it, at least in the cockpit. The backpack of course has to be removed but that should fit in the weapon locker.
  16. I agree, it's ridiculous at this point. I'm sure we'll see them again and hopefully we'll eventually get a set. Maybe that can include Omega as well.
  17. If so, that sucks because this has been a pretty lackluster May 4th so far. At least we have a better picture of the set and it looks better and better. I'm definitely starting to think the canopy is printed which would be fantastic and the figures look amazing. Wrecker is definitely m6 favorite of the group so I'm very happy they made a new armor piece for him. I still think he should be more like Axl from Nexo Knights but he definitely would be harder to put in the shuttle so this is a nice compromise. I love how versatile the comic Iron Man helmet is. So many people hated it when it first was introduced but it's such a good piece. The figures themselves are damn near perfect. I'm sure we'll get a set down the line with Omega and her bow.
  18. I wouldn't get too disappointed yet, there's still plenty of time in the day or they may wait until tomorrow or Friday so casual fans have a chance to see the premiere before being spoiled by the Crosshairs figure. Now that we've seen the Hot Toys Echo, we now know he gets a C-3P0-esque droid arm so his minifig will technically be accurate but it still would have been nice for him to get a robotic arm so that the end can be swappable like the Hot Toys figure suggests.
  19. I'm very happy to hear about the forge! The Armorer is guaranteed, hopefully Paz Visla is one of the other 2 figures and probably Din Djarin. I would greatly prefer that to a couple of boring Stormtroopers. I can't wait to see what it looks like but it'll be a must-have regardless.
  20. It bugs me that there's a gap between the wings and the ship when in flight mode but I really like the set on the whole. They made a new armor mold for Wrecker! I fully expected them to print over an existing armor piece. The figures look fantastic so far, I can't wait to get my hands on it. If preorders go live Tuesday, I'm absolutely jumping on it.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion

Right! A gazelle would be great too and would only require a slight remold of the deer piece. The soft antlers are inserted as a seperate injection during production anyway. There are at least a hundred new animals they could do. Hopefully they realize the potential.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion

I love the new animal molds. I've been wanting LEGO to do a Safari/Conservation theme for a long time and this looks to be the closest we're going to get. It's unfortunate that the elephant isn't more poseable but it and the baby looks great. The Lion and cub look excellent and I like the new monkey mold, it has a lot more going for it than I initially thought. I love the new printing on the snake and the gator cracking out of its egg. When I saw that piece leak I thought it was for the Jurassic World theme but it works well for either an alligator or a dinosaur. Hopefully we get more sets in this subtheme, we need a giraffe, rhino, hippo, hyena, etc.

    LEGO Ninjago 2021

The underwater sets turned out pretty great overall. Lloyd's mech is the only real disappointment. The Hydro Bounty sub has to be my favorite, so cool! The aqua dragon is a close 2nd and the Atlantis-esque ruins are really great too. Jay's "James Bond" car is pretty sleak and I like some of the techniques. The Legacy sets this time around are awful. Kai's dragon looks like a meme, not an actual set. Who thought those arms were okay? I get wanting to give him bigger wings but those arms are a joke. The head seems too small and the tip of the tail is pathetic. The Ultra Sonic Raider is just okay, I never liked that vehicle so definitely not for me.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

True but hey, I'm not going to complain about another Antman microfigure. It's such an easy way to squeeze in an additional character with such a tiny piece, heck it might even get a new print.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I think the Thor figure looks as good as it can without a new hairpiece or a beard but he really should have gotten one of the LotR beards(that's of course assuming this stolen figure leak is the full figure and isn't missing anything).
