  1. That's what I imagined would happen to the winner as well.
  2. 'non-mature behaviour' Says the person that claims we had the whole Sunday to build, yet people were still uploading entries yesterday. I notice everything that goes on around here you know. Shows how prompt and organised an 'adult' can be. Kmt, bruh -_-
  3. Same eraman, on the weekend I was bloody panicking, because I thought the competition would close on the 15th promptly. I spent all Saturday trying to upload the video and fixing a few flaws in the drivetrain. Had I known that the competition would have still been open on the 16th, I would have enjoyed my Saturday. The only reason Jim locked the entry topic yesterday is because I asked in a PM when the voting will commence. Had I not done that the entry topic would have still been open today.
  4. Originally I was going to wait for TC7 because I had no plans on entering TC6, but I was in the process of building a supercar, and discovered that it complied with the competition rules, so I decided to enter. How is TC7 going to top this contest, in the perspective that their are so many great entries, TC7 is going to have to be an awfully good subject to replace TC6.
  5. Building a new variant of the Huracan

  6. Considering this is the first contest I have participated in, and was a new member when TC5 was finished. I can't really be expecting to get near the top, but I'll be happy I'm in the top 30 of all the entries, I worked really hard for this contest but so did everyone. The only thing I hate to see are people that work really hard for something at the best of their ability, and then fail. Unfortunately that may happen to some people when the results are in, that could even be me.
  7. Even with 7.5 I think it would still be higher than my Huracan.
  8. I'm not sure how much torque an L motor produces at 7.5V, but at 9V your radical produces: *0.013hp *181.6N.cm of torque = 5.2hp per ton congrats
  9. Wait how many motors is it powered by, and how much does it weigh. And I can then see if that is correct.

    [TC6] Lamborghini Huracan

I have started work on a special edition of the huracan, which will be released after TC6 is completely finished.
  11. Hello All This is the progress of my entry for TC6. I planned on making a 4wd supercar in late december, but I had no plans to enter TC6 due to the vast amount of high quality entries. But then I realized when I was building the Huracan that it complied with the rules and regulations for TC6 and thus decided to enter. I have read the rules and regulations for TC6 with extreme care, and in that the car has 4 motors, 4 motorized functions and 4 outputs of the IR receiver. So hear are the elements of the car I'm building. * 1 XL motor for drive (originally I always put at least 2 XL motors in any of my supercar mocs but the 4wd drivetrain in this moc was so productive and clever with the XL motor usage, that the gearbox manages to even triple the amount of torque of 1 Xl motor in first gear, and double the torque of 1 XL motor for second gear, uses the same equal amount of torque in third gear but in fourth gear it produces the same torque as an L motor.) * 1 Servo motor for steering * 1 M motor for the primary gear selector * 1 M motor for the secondary gear selector The car uses a Sariel gearbox which I discovered was brilliant for 4wd cars (the car can still perform as well with 1 L motor!), it was frankly the best 4 speed gearbox I could find, and the most versatile because I might use it in an offroader one day, the car results in having 2 gear selectors but Sariel pioneered it so well without using the the standard lego gear collar format found in all gearboxes made by lego themselves. The gearbox collars always had a certain power delay or lag and that wasted torque during launches and gear changes and also makes the motors work harder than they should, but Sariel used a dual linear sequential format which makes the car more responsive during gear changes and launches and made everything instant and this helps the motors put less stress on them which makes the power usage more effective. Eurobricks won't allow me to post more pictures so In future posts I will send more pictures. But here is a link to a collection of the WIP pictures of this moc https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/117883514691193486949/albums/6100970086868727953 The cars 10 cylinder arrangement will be flat instead of a V shape, because of limited space. I will be updating this topic as soon as significant progress is made, feel free to reply and suggest and methods for the body and interior, or any errors I have made. Once the car is complete, I will make a new final topic of the TC6 lamborghini huracan, were I will present a video and absolutely everything about the car. Thank you for viewing this topic LeocornoProductions
  12. Hi I see you have many questions, but I will anwser the questions directed towards me. First, people like me like to compare other motorized mocs and the power to weight ratio figures can help me and other people compare them, maybe racing them would be proper, but their aren't many people eligible to race mocs, due to providing instructions etc. In the real supercar world, it's a buzz about power to weight ratios, because supercars always racing each other and such. But the best example is the bugatti veyron supersport vs koenigsegg agera r. At first it was difficult to compare these cars because no one knew what the koenigsegg was capable of speedwise (well now we know that it can do 186mph in 14.53 seconds and 200mph in under 18 seconds), but the koenigsegg has a power to weight ratio of 794hp per ton and the veyron has just over 600hp per ton. Power to weight ratio is useful for comparing modern, cars because comparing 2 cars from different decades is innacurate with power to weight ratios. The mclaren f1 has a power to weight ratio better than the original veyron, yet the veyron destroyed it in a race. Power to weight ratio comparisons are often 60% right for whether 1 car is faster than another overall. But power to weight ratios are 100% useful for comparing modern cars acceleration. Let me give you a statement I have just come up with, a supercar with a power to weight ratio from 300-420 horsepower per ton will have an acceleration to 60 mph from 3-4 seconds, a modern supercar with more than that will accelerate almost as quickly as a hypercar e.g. Lamborghini aventador, ferrari f12, Mclaren 650s, Lamborghini Huracan, ferrar 458 speciale, noble m600. A modern hypercar with a power to weight ratio over 500hp per ton will do 60mph in under 3 seconds and 100mph in under 6 seconds, and a modern hypercar with over 650hp per ton will be significantly faster than than the 2005 bugatti veyron in terms of acceleration, and a modern hypercar with over 700hp per ton will accelerate faster than a bugatti veyron supersport. Second, the lego technic power functions website shows how much rpm and torque each motor makes, and there was this online calculator which used rpm and torque to workout horsepower and watts, thus I used the formula for working out power to weight ratio for cars. And applied all of this for working out technic power to weight ratio. Does this anwser your questions?
  13. epic technic, I'm really impressed by your radical as well, but I can't watch the video because my phone is playing up and my laptop is really laggy, but would you like me to work out the power to weight ratio of your radical? I heard that it has 4 L motors!
  14. when could we work out this ultimate duel between all of our entries? Because mine is almost as fast as your truck but the question is whether the gearbox is reliable enough to handle the vast amount of torque and the change in rpm and power. I tested it a few days ago and it did 4-5kmh, the transfer case just wants to explode though; it's to lasy to keep running at full throttle for the length of the battery consumption. Epic technic's radical could be quite fast despite having 2 gears, if it had the turbo function like yours, it would be able to reach 10kmh, but it has the torque problem like yours did. We could also do like a rally cross event with multiple terrains so that each vehicle has a good chance, we could do a flat concrete surface then a dry mud pathway and then possibly a wet surface.
  15. Are you sure? because 208 watts is almost 0.3 horsepower, and thats almost 9 times the power of Zblj's fox with 8 Xl motors. What type of pneumatic engine are you talking about? is it the standard one with 2-3 pneumatic cylinders, or one of those beefed up lpe powered v8 replica's that can rev over 1000rpm.
  16. Zblj The fox: *0.032hp *4kg =8hp per ton That could be the best power to weight ratio out of any technic vehicle, but definetly the best power to weight ratio for a technic truck and tatra.
  17. Thank you mrnumbskull, but what do you mean by energy and time :/
  18. oooooo interesting question, but wouldn't the pneumatics be powered by a motor? Or you would need to work out how much rpm the pneumatic engine makes, and also is there a way that you could work out the torque?
  19. ok, I'm just relieved that I posted my entry in the entry topic, I was worried that I wouldn't make the deadlines.
  20. I think jim said that the competition closes on the 16th, and he also said quote "so you will have the whole sunday to build" meaning this sunday. As soon as the eurobricks time reaches 00:00 I think Jim will probably lock the entry topic. My time in england is 1 hour earlier than the eurobricks time, so you have aproximately 6 hours and 9 minutes left to finish your entry and get it posted in the entry topic, Good luck.
  21. That is the best looking lego bike, my eyes have ever had the pleasure of viewing. I'm not a big fan of bikes, but this one has won my heart.
  22. Great video, and it's actually faster than I thought.

    [TC6] Lamborghini Huracan

Yeah, I was worried someone would notice that crunch, I was trying to change to second gear but it wasn't fully selected so it crunched then disengaged to neutral via the torque of the xl motor, then I selected 1st gear again. BTW, I want to yet again change the gearbox to change the 4wd system after the contest.
