I agree that you’ve done a great job with this, it looks a lot better than the original (for the purposes of placing in a city) and thank you for sharing your video showing how to create it. Have you already rebuilt it using your own video instructions?! -

Oh very cute. You have captured their likenesses well, especially Jiji. Jiji is my favourite screen cat so I have enjoyed seeing these. And yes, your outdoor terrace is the perfect location for the photo shoot!

What a big surprise some of these are. I really like the pieces in the accessories store and it and the pet care centre will fit really nicely into a city layout. But that advent calendar - yay! Finally something substantial to build and the ornaments look really attractive.

Yes I do like it! There are definitely enough temples already and so it is good to see a house. It could also make a nice little restaurant too. I really like the whole front facade with the nice portico, the front steps and fence line. -

Oh very nice indeed! These are definitely my favourites, so far! Now I really wish I could buy these images from you! Yours are far better than any others I’ve seen out there. I really like the bit of shading at the edge of the gutter. Overall the aesthetics of the cobblestones are really atmospheric and add wonderful character to the streets.

The Market Street looks gorgeous with the lighting. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the street lighting up!

I love the pictures in the rain. They really do bring the scenes even more to life! I like your road plates too, especially with the bicycle and bus lanes. They are great designs and perfecty executed. I have thought of doing this for the kids but I’m not sure it would stand up to their level of playability, especially my son who likes to drive the vehicles around at breakneck speed. (Or should I say break-lego speed)!

This looks fabulous. The car looks great although I quite liked the original. But I like your building better than the original. It fits in well with the other modulars.

I agree that that is clearly what TLG is aiming for, but curiously enough my three kids aren't remotely interested in them. They much prefer the type of building that looks a bit more realistic. They all love the earlier ones (bike shop and cafe, toy shop etc.). My son would \ probably like the skate ramp house though given that he has spent literally hours snowboarding people up and down the roof of the Winter Village cottage :-) Yes, yes, yes! This looks amazing! My kids would absolutely love a theme like this, and so would I! Especially because those cars would fit right into the winter village. My kids might not really get the whole gangster thing per se and I really can't see TLG releasing a gangster theme now, but a theme with small (ie. affordable), realistic, historical buildings and cars would be a dream come true. -
Well a tumbler can refer to a glass for drinking out of, and there are two goblets and a mug, so I think these are the three tumblers. I love the look of this set and am really looking forward to adding it to our Lego collection. I missed the previous Harry Potter waves although I managed to pick up some like-new minifigures in a bulk lot. I like the lantern and umbrella, new wands, new hairpieces, love the look of Hagrid, and I think the overall look of the building is stunning.

The elephant girl looks sad. I wonder why? Hopefully she has a dual face. The dragon guy is my favourite. I also really like the elephant girl, the kids with gifts and the balloon guy, the cat and the unicorn. I am sure my kids would like to have any one of them! -

I totally agree and thanks for your comment. If I hadn’t read it I mightn’t have bothered to watch the designer video precisely because of the reasons you outlined. It is nice to get to know a bit more about the people who design the sets, and about the process. -
We need another building as there is already a market. Candy store, jewellery store, I agree that a bookshop or Christmas souvenir shop would be great; chalet, cafe, even another (different) cottage (a farm?). Glad to hear it may be more substantial than last year’s.

Creator Winter Village + Friends Snow Resort?

I really like how you've transformed your chalet, Cheatay. The muted colour palette of brown, tan and sand green really works to make it fit within the winter village. Lovely. I am going to try those colours with mine too as I picked up some sand green pieces from the PAB wall recently and hope to use those somehow. Mine might have a few extra studs showing as replacement tiles are a bit more expensive.
