    [GBC] The Akiyuki Project

interesting, i dont see a need for two motors, or a counterweight as the stepper has no weight on anyway

    Paternoster GBC

greetings all The instructions for this module are now complete, thanks to @dunes for the file https://bricksafe.com/files/gbcbuilder/akiyuki/gbc-paternoster/lego gbc paternoster.pdf @Berthil let me know what you think
  5. i have been designing a module that splits the GBC stream into two straight lines. when i was playing with the cup to cup by akiyuki i came up with a good use for that spiral at the start of the module. the idea is the balls roll up then land on a tilting ramp which randomly distributes the balls left or right, but i also included a driving ring so the ramp can be permanently set left or right to use as a turning module. what do you think?
  6. After looking through the akiyuki project by Blakbird and seeing the success of it. It is time I steped up to the plate and create this thread so we can have a central place for all GBC instructions. so far here's what I have been able to find basic modules (great for beginners) simple conveyor module 2014 workshop module http://alittleslow.w...GBC Donahue.pdf brickworld 2015 wheel module http://alittleslow.w...GBC, rev 12.pdf slightly more complicated modules serpentine gbc module (under construction) http://www.moc-pages.../moc.php/407594 wheel gbc module http://alittleslow.w... [GBC] Akiyuki Ball Factory

today i received an email about the mega ball factory akiyuki didnt take any video of it running but sent me lots of photos of each part and a pdf explanation of how it works. would anyone be interested in seeing this additional information?
  17. i have come up with the idea of a sweeper loader like the one in akiyukis first video. it can run of the reverser unit so no need for rcx control

balls can drop into gearing and jam the module, so i think it is worth asking him to add it

@Ankoku i watched the axis robot video again and the sounds in the background from the module that feeds the robot, sounds like the peanuts module but i dont think it is

    [GBC] The Akiyuki Project

@Ankoku how well does your catch and spin work? i noticed n some videos that it can drop a lot of balls and they end up in the gearing.

he does this quite often with parts that are tricky to remove, like the gearing on the catch and spin so these where the modules i had in the akiyuki section, screw type 1,2 and 3 were flawless wheel and steps had no issues apart from a couple of dropped balls stuck ball lifter was good it dropped a few balls though ball sorter ran great the V3 ball factory had a couple of minor issues which i have let @Berthil know about, but once they were sorted it ran very well the peanuts and hockey stick lifter where great the Heart chain was Alan's and ran well mechanically but did drop alot of balls the catch and spin was built by @RohanBeckett and ran well most of the time but dropped the odd ball the container transporter was a pain to get running right and i had to pull it out because it was sitting on a table join and the containers would fall off all the time
