[Software] LDD2PovRay
Grima replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Ever since I got the LDD update, LDD to POV-Ray has refused to convert files unless I tell it not to generate includes, which is a problem because I don't have includes for all the parts of models I want to render, and it definitely puts a damper on rendering anything with new pieces in it. The issue is that, partway through the include-generating process, an error pops up. According to Brickset, that ID matches the monocolor Hero Factory Savage Planet spike, which was deleted in the update, probably for its redundancy. LDD to POV-Ray seems to react to part deletion by refusing to generate includes after it concludes a part is missing. Does anyone know how to fix this? -
Not from the front, but that was never the issue. It's the side view you've gotta worry about.

Nice

Anything's better than Mask of Shadows; it was a redundant mask, just like the Mask of Light on the Toa of Light.

Ekimu isn't the same as Artahka, though. Artahka was an inventor of sorts, while Ekimu and Makuta are both specified as mask makers. Not sure about the island name, though that could be to avoid a new Maori controversy? Or maybe to emphasize that there doesn't seem to be a Great Spirit Mata Nui this time around.
-
I'd say we're probably looking at Makuta and Ekimu sets this summer, wielding hammers like the ones in the animation.
-
I'd say reboot frickin' confirmed :P
-
To be fair, what kind of MOC would you even USE a trans Hau on? It's not a trans color even. just completely transparent.
-
If both masks are needed to make the Mask of Life... then that means there is no Mask of Life in this story... which kills pretty much any chance of this being a continuation :P
-
It's just a connector stuck in the hole in the middle of each boomerang, then plugged into the middle hole of each foot.

I'm pretty sure it's a two-stud pin and the hinge area is half a stud thick

looking at that, it seems quite clear the teaser video was just closeups on parts of this stand. You can see the cracks, the tube/pillar, and of course the stand itself, which will all likely be glowing purple tomorrow.

Strange; the Earth Protector clearly uses the head in its normal orientation, yet unlike the Fire Protector we can't see any cheeks or anything. That's really weird.

I honestly like the printing. It takes the visual motifs from his mask and puts it on his body while also spreading some more purple and gold (Lunar Limonua)

I kinda have to wonder about the second circle on the chin. Is that the injection molding spot, and if so, why not do it in the place that already has a circle on it? It seems odd to me. I guess it could be done to add more detail to the chin, but that's a shame because this is the least overdetailed of the new masks IMO.

I have to wait for the person on tumblr to post the rest first. they just started with Onua because we've been waiting forever for him their blog is here, if you want to refresh madly and wait for them to post the rest. EDIT: wait never mind they say they don't have any of the others, just onua. oops. Is it just me, or is Onua's head coming from the gearbox, and not the torso? The torso doesn't appear to have a neck joint at all, though he could have a custom torso.
-
apparently they found a way to nab clear pictures? here's onua, finally
-
I think Pohatu's supposed have, like, rocket boots or hoverboards or something.
-
Apparently LEGO screwed up and accidentally posted these photos on Facebook early? they're gone now and this screencap is the only evidence of it I've seen but yeah here they are also I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure how Lewa's wing function is shown could only work if I was right about the lower arms. Well, plus the way the armor is on the arm is consistent with that arm build. Still not much of a good look at the gearbox, but if I had to guess at this point, I'd say it'll look something like a larger version of this piece.
-
oh wow. i hope they let the people at the LEGO store event take pictures of the new parts so we can accurately judge them. i'd love to have more angles of the masks and such.
-
Well, Mixel eyes work, if you don't mind a touch of terror to them :P

Really? I saw Greg say the Red Star wasn't a revival machine until he came up with the idea for the serial, I could have sworn.
-
They can't be teleported there now, either; it was only designed to teleport them from the GSR. Word of Greg.

nope, if there's one thing pseudointellectuals will pull out in any gender debate, it's that matoran can't reproduce. the only way to bring new matoran into being was some technology in the MU that Turaga had access to, and I think it was confirmed to be destroyed.
