  1. Hello everyone, I just finally got done building Madoca1977 Tatra 813. What a build! I learned a lot while building this and so much went into this. This is probably my favorite of his MOCs. So I decided to do a different color and went with blue. It wasn't hard to do and instructions are easy to follow as well. I might be adding extension cab and making it 4 door but not sure yet. And or add something to the bed of the Tatra. So for the door I had to improvise on the panel fairing. Lego doesn't make it in blue for the long one. So I just 2 added 3 stud liftarms. Then for the perpendicular 3L 2 pin holes I had to do black sense Lego doesn't make blue so black seemed better. Rollcage Overall this is A+ MOC. It was very fun to build and seen the hard work that Madoca1977 put into this.
  2. RC4WD Dirt Grabbers Thanks! Took me about a month or so.
  3. No, was using a AA battery pack but now I can't. So have to order another lipo.
  4. Quick update, I was able to make the bed and haven't looked into much for doing the extended cab. Hopefully soon I could do that. I also fixed the grille and made it black instead of blue. Looks so much better! Hope everyone enjoys the flatbed I made as much I do!
  5. I would should change it to black. Didn't think of it. It's wasn't too expensive. Panels were and usually are. The axle connector I had to get used. So hard to get. Maybe, not sure how I would go about it. I'm glad everyone likes the blue! When I started putting the cab together, I was really excited to finish and see how it would look.
  6. Nice, I like the color choice! I also made Madoca's 813 and waiting for few last pieces to arrive so I can post it.
  7. Hey everyone, I have finally finished the crawler. It took me awhile and a lot of versions till I liked something. So lets get right into it. Features: 1 XL motor for drive 2 Servo motors for steering 2 IR Receivers LED lights 2 Speed gearbox with M motor for remote changing 1 Lego Lipo battery Images: I took some ideas from Madoca1977 and Nico71(which are some great builders) I hope you guys and gals enjoy!

    Jeep Crawler

Not sure what you mean. Like add another side of gears to the driveline?

    Jeep Crawler

So I am back with a whole new chassis for my Jeep lol. I got rid of the 2 speed gearbox and went with a 36 tooth gear for torque. The chassis is a lot more stronger and the suspension seems to do better. The final gear ratio is 1:15. I haven't forgotten a video for the performance, just been busy and was going to do it today but camera was died lol.

    Jeep Crawler

Thanks guys! I have to take the 4ws out since I am having a problem climbing up a ramp I made. Making the rear wheels unstable and won't grip. I plan on doing a video but not sure when yet.

    I guess it's short. H: 1.1 L: 1.16

1.9 rc tires. Basically the same as the 94.8 Lego balloon tires

I think it does fine. Yea I wanted to do 2, so i can control them separately.
  14. Hey Guys, So I decided to go back to one of my first MOCs and wanted to rebuild the whole thing. Going with live axles, XL motor mounted directly to it, then geared down to 1:3 and have the knob gears to finally deliver the power to the wheels. I will probably do the front end tomorrow. So what do you guys think? Too overkill? :P And this is V1
  15. I agree. Had it pop out a few times but held up well on some tuff stuff. Have the motor switching gears helps a lot to keep it in place.
  16. Well it's been awhile since I have updated this. Was busy with some stuff and was going through some different versions of the rock crawler. I am hoping this is the finally version. So I took some ideas from Madoca1977(by the way is an awesome builder!) I used his ideas from the 4x4 crawler, like the live axles and the gearbox. I did some of my own as well. The gearbox is remote control and I plan to do 4ws when the parts come in Tuesday. I am also building a Jeep body for it and using Nico71's Jeep build. I like his and its simple. Also I have another Medium motor on the other side of the gearbox and plan to make a winch with it. And the battery isn't going to be mounted there and is just a temporary place for it so I can test. Let me know what you guys think. Hopefully you guys/gals like it.
  17. @Gzzig, Yup there are knob gears. That's all I use now :D Right now I am working on making the links, tried doing liftarms but too stiff so do a different method. Also i have to fix the steering as well.
  18. @Black-Build, Yes I am.
  19. Got the front and rear built. About to start the chassis. Thanks for the input!
  20. Yes I agree that the BB is too high. That's why I am going back and redesigning it. I just posted a picture to show you all what it looked like. And I love the tires. As the foam inside as well.
  21. Hey Everyone, Before I begin, I just want to let you guys know that the chassis is someone else's, but I did make it my own and added in improvements and such. This is where I found it and credit goes to WOUTER31.So, now that's out of the way, let talk about the truck. This is my first 8x8 truck and have built a 4x4 rock crawler which I am making a Jeep body for it right now. The one thing I don't like about this 8x8 that it doesn't have a 2 speed gearbox. I want to make one, but don't know where to start and where I would install it for this chassis. If you guys have any tips, pros or cons on the truck let me know. I know it isn't perfect being that I haven't built in at least 4 years so I am a little rusty. 8x8 Specs: 2 XL motors drive 1 M motor steering 4WS 1 AA battery box 1 IR Receiver LED lights Independent suspension 1:3 gear ratio Length: 76 studs Width: 9 studs(not including suspension) Height: 21 studs I am probably 95% done with this and wanted to see what you guys thought of it. Hope you guys enjoy it!

    WIP 8x8

Thanks guys for the feedback. I will see what I can do. I've debated to just make a more realistic chassis. I really want a 2 speed gearbox and have the truck a little smaller scale.

Lol, I see what you did there.

    Hi from California!

Hey Everyone, My name is Technic156 and I been collecting and building Legos since I was a little kid. I just started back up this Spring. I'm a big fan of Technic(hints the name). I have a few sets I started collecting and I have 2 MOC that are in the works. There almost complete and will be sharing here soon. I would like to get some input from you all, and see if I can improve the builds and what not.
