LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
rakky replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Got my first 5 today from Argos, was worried they might all be duplicates but got the fisherman, elf, baseball player and 2 car drivers, unfortunately the driver is my least favourite but the other three are all pretty cool so am fairly happy. Still no sign of them being in whsmiths yet though which is annoying. -

Very true, there are obviously some themes, but that still doesn't mean circus has been cut just that its not in series 4 -

Agreed it's clearly because people have been buying whole box loads, they know they are popular so will price them veen higher as they think they will still get bought, which I'm sure they will. -

Exon Seriously dude, as much as you love lego other people, including children deserve to get hold of them as well, buying a box is fairly selfish if it means others won't get a chance to even get 1 full set. Be glad you got 5, they are not even out in the rest of the world yet and won't be for another month. -
Lego Collectible Minifigures Series 5 Ideas
rakky replied to Lord Embo's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Seeing as though that other thread is quite old now and a lot of the figures have croped up i don't see why making a new thread about series 5 could be a bad idea. That way we can concentrate on whats not already happened and people don't have to look over pages and pages of posts either. I don't mind either way though. -

Hey this might sound a bit angry, although it's not at all, just wanted to say could you stop calling football soccer!!! :) Football was created long before American football and therefore we should come up with a new name for that sport instead of renaming the original. Also Lego is a European compnay so they would definitely say American football player I reckon. Also I would so much prefer an american football player then a football player So i really hope in the future they will do one. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 poll

Must admit im surprised that im the only one that went for the baseball player. He's pretty cool -
If you do go for the city idea you should look into getting some of the lego minifigures from the individual minifigure series as they might give you idea for scenes, also they are quite cool.

Does'nt collecting count as a past time or a hobbie, unless you get paid to collect of course? These look quite good, especially the baseball player, i can one day hopefully create my favourite scene from the film 'the warriors' Also that elf argument earlier was really funny. -
And too think I thought the first one was excellent, these are even better, and they look so good together, sooo jealous now. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for series 3. I think these are my favourite things i've seen on this forum so far.

Damn man, Germany sounds much better off than the UK, we have them in WHsmiths but my toys r us did not get any of series 1 or 2 :(. What number are you hoping to get up to, im guessing they are a good investment for selling at a later date.

132, no wonder other people are having trouble finding them. Man i'm glad no ones been buying them like that where I'm from or there would be none left for everyone else. Although i imagine you bought them online mostly as I can't imagine how long it would take to find that many in shops, or if it would even be possible :)

Awesome idea dude, and i loved the arena and the great minifigs, did you by chance ever play the game gladius on ps2?
-
I thought it looked pretty cool, a good choice of minifigures as well, gave it a dungeons and dragons feel to it.
-
This looks awesome dude, I love the sleekness of it, and the brightness of the landscape, are you planning on doing anymore with this kind of theme?
-
I really enjoyed it dude, i liked the ending scene with the three walking off down the street, looking forward to what happens next.
-
I really enjoyed it dude, different from other things iv seen and a good use of varied post apocalyptic looking in a mad max style minifigs :)
-
I thought it looked really good, loved the fish sign and the amount of mini figs doing cool stuff and also got the feeling that you really enjoyed making the scene.

Minifg collectors series 2 pics and barcodes
rakky replied to Superkalle's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Seems like there are not many lego collectors in oxford england as out of the three spartans in mthe box i got two randomly, one would have been ebough so I gave the other to a kid i tutor as a prize. Vewry funny about that woman throwing away the Dracula guy Lego_Hero, what a waste. She should have given it to charity or a random kid on the street. -
Totally awesome display, I'm so jealous right now :)

I can't believe someone voted this as poor, its totally awesome dude and i hope when you add some more life to it it will be even more so, I have just got back into lego again and was not that fussed by the lego city but after seeing this and some other setups i really just want city now as there is so much you can do with it.

I have only just come out of my dark age now after a gap of 16 years or so, It was the minifigures that did it for me, at first i though I would'nt buy one but then me and my mate got one on a whim, i wanted the ninja and got it on the first try and since then i have been buying lots more. I tried finding my chest full of old late 80's/early 90's lego earlier but god knows where it is in my parents garage loft. Luckily my girlfriend finds it cute that I like lego so i can see myself amassing quite a collection :)
