Both look pretty good, 80's style Magneto is a nice alternative. I actually prefer all of the 80's costumes, apart from kitty's :)

came home drunk last night and bought the Doctor Strange and Clea pack. I hope they look as awesome up close. Any news on whether any other figures will be produced?

I have always disliked the earlier spidey sets. Probably because they were based on the film and not the comic. Just knowing how many awesome villains there are in the comic and then seeing the lack of interesting minifigures throughout the series made me think that they had missed a chance to make something truly awesome. In my opinion the Daily Bugle set from this year is the best Spidey set so far (Spidey, Doom, Beetle, Nova and Jameson) not mention an impressive build for £40. An interesting review though dude, I enjoyed reading it, even if I do not agree with your rating.

Just went to my local Asda living store and they had the Lone Ranger cavalry builder set for £6 and Riddles for the Ring at £6 as well. Riddles for the ring had sold out, but I got two of the LR sets as 4 minifigures and a horse is well worth £6.

Indeed, I can't see why they would produce another tumbler after having one out in the previous wave. It's not really that iconic anyhow.

I like the Doom set idea and think the price would be doable. The Hulk set (whilst a nice idea) would no doubt be a lot higher price than 30-40 pounds with 6 minifigures and 2 of them big ones.

I just got Shredder's cycle and Fishface escape at Debenhams for half price. They were the only turtles sets there, but maybe other Debenhams in the country will have more TMNT sets at half price. On a side note, is everyone else finding that the only sets in sales are Legends of Chima and the Galazy squad (or whatever it's called) sets from last year. They must have over-produced or not sold as well as last year. Lots of vehicles that no one wanted.

It would make me very sad if the American price was only $50, as £50 is worth a lot more than $50. Not that I don't want you guys to get a bargin.

It's the sales section, people are always selling things on here for money. Some people sell their whole collections here when they decide to finish with the hobby. Can you not be part of a community and still make money?

So because you like the sets, that means you are allowed to express your opinion. Yet, because he doesn't like them, his opinion is just complaining and therefore shouldn't get to be aired and he should just suck it up? A little hypocritical of you that your opinion's fine to say and his is not. No one is telling you that you can't like the sets, they are just stating why they don't like them as much.

I agree with a lot of what Repeter. He left a very detailed commentary that explained his opinion, which is perfectly fine considering the whole purpose of the thread is to talk about the 2014 sets and what we think of them. It's fine if you like the new sets, but I imagine most of us would prefer more varied minifigures and less vehicles. Kids might not mind you, but, actually, when I was a kid, I preferred having a base for my pirates and knights - it was the best part.

Or he could try to make a little money off it in order to make a profit like a sensible person. Ebay after all is designed for people to make money with, not to 'help the community'.

Who's next to be Santa in the Advent Calendar

It would never happen, but if I could choose a Santa, it would be Jabba, or Salacious Crumb :) -
Collectible Minifigures Trading Suggestion
rakky replied to Donut's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I'm looking for multiple hazmat guys, I have spares from all the series, although series 1 I only have a spare nurse, cowboy and spaceman. I prefer UK or European trades. PM with any figures that you need. -
EB Members Trading Collectable Minifigs Portal
rakky replied to WhiteFang's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Hi, I'm based in the UK and am primarily looking for a European trade, I'm looking for: Series 4: Hazmat guy (as many as possible, I'm using them for AIM agents) I have pretty much everything, although I do not really want to trade my series 1 (I have a spare nurse, spaceman and cowboy though) All the other series I have extras of most of them, so if there's anything that you are after send me a message. No silly trades though. I have had people asking to trade a £2 figure for the series 1 zombie in the past. -
Iceman is oftenly portrayed as being bluish white. He was like a snowman at the start, but since the 90's he has alternated between blusih white to white. So I would say that most versions are not white and and that they are quite equal these days. I have over 5000 comics including a near complete run of Uncanny X-men and X-men so I should know what I'm talking about (hopefully).

I think it's clearly money orientated. They could change it and use more new moulds, but then they would make a slightly smaller profit (hopefully no one here is under the impression that Lego don't make a hell of a lot of money these days) 2015 will see less spiderman hopefully and more other heroes. Similar to the lack of Iron Man after so many Iron men this year.

Now I'm wondering why the hell MODOK would want a hammer-powered lazer canon :) oh well, at least it's a location set and not just another vehicle. I will definitely be buying it, but I do wish it came with one AIM beekeeper dude as well. Anyone else use Hazmat guys for them at the moment?

He can't just call his hammer back, it's only when he throws it that it comes back. So many times in the comics he was separated from it and had to transform back into Dinald Blake because he could not get it. If he could call it back he would have been fine. There has also been lots of people who the hammer has deemed worthy before, along with magic enchantments and other macguffins that have taken it away from him in the past. Thor has also lost his powers in the past and had them diminished, usually when Odin was being a git.

I really like this new Thor, he looks much similar to the comic book version. Thor started off being clean shaven and was only irregularly shown sporting a beard. I don't care about the hair, but I wish they had given us his helmet.

i Can see the Lab costing at least £10 or $10 more than the helicopter. There seem to be more pieces in the Lab, and let's face it, more minifigures usually means a higher price. I don't think lego really care that the Hulk mold has been used before, they would still want to get maximum profits from it.

They are both part of the same universe and characters from both series make cameos, so really it's not that daring. No different to making Clone wars sets and star wars films sets and Old Republic sets.

Agreed the Truck looks good and Doc Ock looks really nice too. I also like the minifigures from The Cap set and the amazing looking Taskmaster and Falcon. MODOK is the figure I'm most excited about getting though. The Green Goblin figure is my least favourite though. I think I will bricklink Mary Jane and Powerman from that set, but I will buy all the other sets.
