I thought that at first, but then I realized that the person who was holding it was just moving the wings with his fingers. The lack of features with a lot of these sets is a big downside, especially for the morro dragon, which as far as I can tell, just glows in the dark like everything else in this wave. For me, how the sets look makes up for the lack of features, a lot more than the final battle sets did (that were also low on features). But it is a step down from previous waves.

I never said that there weren't. Anyway, I'm going to wait until we get clearer pictures from New York Toy Fair before continuing to discuss this one minifigure. There's really no way to tell who she is for sure until then, or possibly even later than that.

I'm quite certain that it is dark red, just look at this picture: http://i.imgur.com/82W8dXZ.jpg Both the minifigure and the DB 2 are shown, and conveniently, the Bounty has both dark red and brown pieces on it, the dark red is definitely closer to the colour of the minifigure. The reason that she'd be red and not a more watery colour is probably that all her previous suits have featured red, (the samurai mech also features a lot of dark red pieces), while if this was a new character, the designers could have chosen a different colour to go alongside the blue. My guess is that red is used so that the character is more recognisable as Nya. Then there's the symbol, it's not Nya's, but it is very similar, (and is probably intended to be that way), now if Nya does gain elemental powers, it would make sense for the symbol to change to better represent those powers. Just like how Lloyd's ZX suit featured a snake in the back, but after he got his golden power at the temple of light, his symbol changed to a dragon's head.

And right now, we don't even have any pictures of the Ultrasonic Showdown set, and only a prelim of Antimatters hideout.

The orange haired guy is actually Terabyte, he has the same torso with 'Bad to the Code' on the back. But I think your right about the brain villain, who also looks pretty creepy with the visible brain piece and a set of spider legs. I've got to say, the Ocean HQ looks absolutely amazing! The brick built hull is really well done, and the set looks to be, once again, packed with features.

haha, After that joke in The Last Voyage, that would be pretty funny! After looking over the toy fair pictures more, I have to ask, why are the ghost minions carrying random things like chicken legs? (not that I have a problem with it, I just thought it was a bit strange.) I also have a question about Ronin REX, as the Airjitzu spinners are described as being an outdoor toy, so how well do you all thing they'll work indoors, where there are various things for them to crash into? It just seems like there won't really be enough space indoors for these to work properly.

I really like all of these summer sets, especially Skull Basher. Sure, they all have downsides like Scorpio's lack of articulation, but as sets go, I think they're pretty great. Speaking of downsides, I just looked over the pictures for Slicer again and it looks like only one set of arms is geared, as he only has a black gear one one side of his gearbox. I can see this being disappointing for some but I don't think that it'll be too hard to fix.

Regarding my earlier post about that red/blue ninja: in the toy fair video, I managed to spot Nya in her samurai gear in the Titan Mech set. So who is that ninja? I still think she's female, judging by where the belt is and her eyes. It could be Nya in a ninja suit, or someone entirely new. Anyway, I bought the Electromech today, and it's a great set (especially considering that I only paid £7.99 rather than £12.99 for it! ), very fun!

I also think that those eyes look more female. Don't forget that there was a Nya minifigure on the preliminary pictures for this set, and all the other minifigures in the prelim seem to be there. The dark red makes sense as dark red was used quite a bit on the Samurai Mech. Another thing is where the belt is printed; it's on her torso, similar to how in the winter wave, Skylor also has her belt here while all the other ninja have it printed on the top of their leg piece. And personally, I thought that that symbol looked like Nya's phoenix emblem. On a side note, I am really liking how the new DB is turning out, a few more pictures at different angles and I might just be persuaded to buy it!

The chances of any of the summer sets being based of the video game were always very slim. The year has just been split into two separate plots, similar to Chima last year. Even though Ronin appears in one of the sets, he is fighting the ghosts, while in the game, he is the main villain, so it's safe to assume that these sets are not based of Shadow of Ronin.

The more I look at these, the more I like them! Is Sensei Wu holding a recoloured genie's lamp as a teapot? Not sure why there's fire coming out of it though. We also get a better look at the collectables for this wave, those large throwing star pieces. One thing I was wondering about when I first saw the picture of Destiny's Bounty is where the stud shooters are. But now we have clearer pictures, it looks like there's a row of three on each side of the ship that are all fired at once when that technic peice above them is pushed. I may have already said this in an earlier post but it's great how Lego are finding new ways to use their new launcher bricks like this. I also see the harpoon adaptation of the spring loaded shooter on Titan Mech Battle. These sets look much better (for prelims, of course), I might just end up buying all of them, depending on what we see at the upcoming toy fairs. EDIT: I've just looked at my genie minifig, in particular the lamp, and that IS the piece that Sensei Wu is holding in his dragon set, there's even a hole in the spout where a flame piece can be attached.

He may also come in Sensei Wu's dragon. Look at the far right of the box, above where the minifigs are shown, the lighting's not great, but that guy may be wearing a green headpiece. Lloyd is in the Destiny's Bounty, he's just to the side of that big grey dish.

There's definitely some interesting stuff going on in this wave: It seems like there's a tonne of minifigures in these sets, more than usual, (Skylor doesn't seem to be one of them, unfortunately ). It's obviously Ronin in the Ronin REX set, but it looks like he is fighting the ghosts alongside Kai. Also, could that be an Airjitzu piece in that set? And, the ghosts look like they are firing a pizza at Wu's dragon

I'll have to agree with you there! The Dojo Showdown set I ordered got delivered today, and it's a great little set for the price. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Griffin Turner has a double sided face, which I didn't expect. Griffin is in fact my second favourite minifigure in the set, I love the little details on his torso, like his shuriken with a clock face on it, and his emblem that looks like a hourglass. All in all, £20 well spent!

I noticed it, but didn't really pay any attention to it, because there can't be more sets on top of what we already know of... right? Anyway, I've just ordered 70756 Dojo Showdown with it being a 'hard to find' set. I'll probably be patient and wait until I can get a few small discounts on Amazon in an effort to save money on buying the rest.

I like the look of those two new villains, the portal hideout doesn't look bad either. Also, did anyone else spot the silhouette of a jet behind the Ocean HQ? It would make sense for that to be in the Ultrasonic Showdown set, or something that can be detached from the HQ.

Does anyone know if these minifigure boxes are available anywhere else outside the US yet?

I really enjoyed that episode, and it's made me more intrigued to see what happens next,

I wasn't expecting Ninjago to get a D2C set, but I'm looking forward to it now we know. It'll surely be big and impressive, and may top my current favourite of the Ninjago temples: Battle for Ninjago City. (and be very expensive at the same time ) Unfortunately, its going to be quite a while until we get pictures of this one. There is also an 'exclusive Ninjago minifigure' promo in September, any thoughts on what kind of minifigure that might be? I love the treatment Ninjago is getting this year, being back to a good amount of sets. the return of an action game and a D2C set as well!

Thanks for those names demitri! Wow! 18 regular sets in one year, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that any recent action theme has had that many? I'm very intrigued by the Ronin R.E.X set, I am expecting something dinosaur-like, but it really could turn out to be anything at this point. One thing I was hoping for with this wave was a larger vehicle for Skylor, but I guess we'll have to wait until Toy Fair to know for sure.

Ronin? Dark army of Samurai soldiers? Obsidian Glaive? - This makes me think that the Anacondrai will only be around for the first half of 2015, then we'll get these Samurai soldiers in the summer. Perhaps that's where we'll see that new hood piece used?
