  1. I used this one: https://a.co/d/4nCyh4v
  2. I found an untouched box of CMF series 25 at Walmart today, in Maryland. I got some goat herders, bat knights, and barbarians. I used a pocket scale with 100% success. I think if you were trying to get one of each it would be harder though, it helps that these figures are on the extremes and not in the middle of the weight range. It can be hard to tell apart the goat herder and bat knight by weight. Here are the weights I used: https://jaysbrickblog.com/reviews/lego-collectible-minifigures-series-25/ One other thing I'll note is rough box position. I found the bat knights at the back of the box on the upper layer, and the goat herders around the middle of the lower layer (little towards the back maybe). The barbarian was somewhere on the upper layer but I don't remember exactly. I'm not sure how consistent this will be though, and once a box has been touched bets are off. Keep an eye out for train guys, they weigh more than goat herders but not quite as much as Jay's weights in my experience.
  3. I really like the new city space line and 60229 is my favorite of the line. But there are two aspects of it that I thought should be improved to live up to the name of the set. The crane needed more range of motion and the truck needed to be longer to actually carry more of the rocket components. I extended the truck by one axle and the length of the bed, so that it can properly carry the shuttle portion and single rocket boosters (they still hang off though). The most serious mod is adding another axis of motion to the overhead crane, built on two baseplates. I used the new rollercoaster tracks for this which worked well. I also built a ramped platform for the truck to bring its bed height closer to the bed of the rocket transporter. Lastly I added a cab and supporting railings and ladder to the crane so that it can actually be operated by someone instead of mysteriously moving on its own. Enjoy and comments are appreciated!
  4. Hi everyone, I'd like to share with you a MOC I made based on the game Into the Breach. I have made one complete map / level of the game, which can actually be played something like a board game. It has a modular construction so it could be rearranged to make different levels. Let me know what you think. Here is a video and images:
  5. There is also a lion version so two designs, same mold. Yes they were very stingy putting just one per set, and the lion knights version in the biggest set. It would be nice if we got four barded knights in this set but even that would only be a little less of a price per knight ratio than the 2013 castle.
  6. The old barding. The new barding released a year after this quote you can. It's literally on the box art from the 2013 castle sets. http://www.bricksandbloks.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/70402-LEGO-Summer-2013-Castle-Theme-The-Gatehouse-Raid-Box-e1367596872876.jpg

    VIDIYO - Universal Music 2021

I found them at Walmart just before Christmas, may still be some in stores. After Christmas they moved what was left in the stocking stuffers display onto a random spot in the LEGO aisle with no price tag. Not sure if any are still around in my store but it's certainly possible they're still available some places.
  8. The robot looks great on the yellow Stuntz motorcycle.
  9. The lunar base is almost exactly what I'd want to see from a modern version of "classic space." I love it. The rocket launch is nice but I have the deep space launch and rocket assembly sets from a couple years ago so I probably won't get another one. There are more unrevealed sets in this subtheme though, you can see what the stand alone rover will look like in this alternate image of the base:

[REVIEW] 71391 Super Mario Bowser's Airship

Nice review! I quite like the look of this set and like @DelQuinn my son will be getting this for Christmas. They could've included another enemy or two but overall it looks like a good value for the price, better than some of the Mario theme certainly. I don't think the app has crashed more than once or twice on me, and we have quite a few of the Mario sets. I will say it needs a moderately powerful device, I tried to run it on a cheap tablet and it was unusable. My son much prefers building with the app to paper instructions, so it seems like LEGO knows their target audience.

[REVIEW] 71755 Temple of the Endless Sea

Nice review, thanks! I like the colors, especially all the gold. The serpent actually looks better than I expected. But I agree that this and the hydro bounty are pricy, I'm waiting for a discount.
  12. I'm quite enjoying the Vidiyo Metal Dragon head and wings on Nexo Knights fire demon bodies. Original: Casual dragon: Battle dragon:
  13. I actually think this series is better than average for me. It still has what I usually like, some good historical/fantasy and sci-fi figures. But I also like a couple types I usually don't bother with. Animal costumes don't do a lot for me in general, but my father is really into raccoons and they are popular throughout my family. So I plan to get several of those. I also don't care much for sports figures but I think the racing wheelchair is quite interesting, so for once I'll be buying a sports figure as well. Overall a good variety.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

The mobile crane is on Instagram, blue and yellow with two construction workers and an 8x16 road plate for it to lift. Looks good.

Thanks, I hadn't been following this as close as I used to.

    Super Mario 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

The Luigi's mansion sets look great! I'm glad to see LEGO branching out with this theme, though I do wish we'd get a Princess Peach already. I wonder if this is the whole January line? It seems like "enough" sets, but will there be a 4th character pack?

    Super Mario 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I think a 2x2 round head with removable hat/hair like the Trolls figures would make the most sense.
  18. I wanted to do a "cozy" Harry Potter MOC and thought his Gryffindor bedroom would be a good topic. Played around with the idea of doing a full 360 build that opens, and including Seamus and Dean's beds as well. But each bed section is fairly repetitive so I decided to just cover Neville, Harry, and Ron's areas as well as the entrance and a fireplace. The fireplace may be a bit controversial vs the source material, I don't think any is visible in the films but I have a vague memory of a mention of a hearth within the bedrooms in one of the books. Canon or not, I think it helps give the right vibe to the build. Appreciate any comments, enjoy! Not much attention was placed on the look of the outside, but here's what it's like:

    Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

This is kind of random but I modded the Prefect's bathroom from the clocktower set to fit the new 8x16 module style. I love the print for the mermaid but the version of the room in that set is so small and doesn't really show off the window well.

    1x5 brick incoming?

Nicely spotted! I hesitate to place too much weight on these sort of things but it certainly seems odd to picture a brick that doesn't exist.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion

I think it is interesting that the stunt bikes are friction drive / flywheel instead of pull back. In my experience with my sons' toys, friction drive goes faster for longer so it makes sense. It looks a little weird how the rear wheels are small and the bikes are long, though I expect it is to resist wheelieing too much. The ramps look useful for anyone making a skate park, and I expect they will be a lot of fun for the target audience. It's interesting they are made from two pieces, so the initial ramp can be removed and flat tiles used to connect two ramps into a half pipe. Personally I like the two bikes going through the ring (60299), the bikes are good colors and I like the enduro style that comes in blue there and otherwise only comes in one individual bike in purple. One thing I'm wondering us if the monster trucks have a pull back or friction drive mechanism, nothing is indicated in the catalog.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion

I didn't know these had gotten so expensive, at $30+ vs $5-10 for the other big cat figures. What is weird is that LEGO hasn't bothered to put one in another set despite using the mold regularly, though I suppose the tiger is one of the more expensive variants with its significant printing. I had to double check that I really owned one, and found I had paid $15 US for it in October 2017. I'm sure I questioned the expense at the time, but it pays to get in early with unique animals.

    FRIENDS 2021 - Rumours & Discussion

Today I saw the rubber ducky piece from one of my son's LEGO sets and that made me wonder, why not recolor it white if they can't make a whole new mold? It is small, but still would have been better than the dove I think. This piece:
