    Latlug LEGO city display 2015.04.03

Hi everyone, Here s an insight to Latvian Lego users group last public display during Eastern holidays. The Lego Baltic's office was organising "Lego Eastern mishmash 2015" event for kids and our LUG was invited to join with our model display. First off we had activity for kids where they can a build a house after instructions and as a reward place it on the city layout. In picture the 1st BalticLUG Ambassador Lauris Klavins showing the Compensa house. A Young builder posing proudly with his build. Both parents and the young builders getting excitement from this activity. And here are the pictures of the city layout. We didn't have much table space so we filled up completely the surface we had. Palace Cinema set built by well known car builder Rolands Kirpis and next to it there is a miniature outdoor cinema scene dedicated to Latlug's friends- local Movie bloggers 2 baseplates filled with moc modulars by Peteris Sprogis Lego train moc by De-Marco Lego passenger train moc by Peteris Sprogis On the other side of table mostly Model Team cars made by Rolands Kirpis. In this picture Latlug builder De-Marco is giving explanation about the vehicle mocs. The author of GBC Bunny Rolands Kirpis fixing something to his creation. View to the city from above And here's the human size Ninjago minifig posing next to the layout All pictures from event at Latlug's Flickr photostream https://www.flickr.c...57649402411564/ And here's a video greatly depicting all action from the day https://www.facebook...&type=2 Thanks for watching!

    NEW MEMBERS TRAIN TECH Registry

Hi All! I've been building with bricks since 2010 but only this year discovered the world of LEGO trains. This february my LUG was doing 1st public display of this year so I was making some new city house and car mocs to fill it up. Another Latlug member De-Marco has been into trains for a longer time and has already collected decent amount of train tracks to make solid length railroad around the city layout. So while making new house mocs I was digging through unsorted piece box and found that I have 87574 train motor and some train wheels- just enough to start making my first locomotive. I had no train tracks of my own but new that in collaborative LUG display I can put on tracks and add another moving object to the display. Here's a pic of my 1st train moc. The design is not based on any particular engine. I had just the big battery box so had to make a frame from bricks and made it with idea that I have to place the battery box as low as possible for lower centre of gravity and bigger stability. Since I knew I will sometimes leave the train to other LUG mates to place it on public displays I knew I had to make the battery and channel change simple so it has big take-off top panel and the front window can be easily removed to access channel change in PF receiver. more pictures with this locomotive are here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.872826572781649.1073741936.567335349997441&type=1 and here's a video with it running around my personal little city layout I was enjoying the new train world so much I decided I need to get one train set just to have all the missing accessories- like tracks, train remote and more wheels and magnets so I recently decided to buy a 60052. The design of the set is very appealing and it had all in one package :) I built it once, enjoyed it for a couple of days and took it down to start working on some sort of my own design train. So here's my 2nd train moc- passenger electric train. it s a result of having 3 blue train bases and some elements in good quantities from PAB wall. In picture it's pulling one car, after I made another car. here's a video of it running around another Latlug collaborative display My 3rd train moc is in progress and will be finished for upcoming Latlug public display on 17th-19th April

  13. 2014 is almost over so it s time to sum up what's done with the bricks this year. I am a fan of car design so mostly my crations are vehicle related. First off we have the big a-year-in-review compilation picture. there are also tons of creations which did not make it to this top-of-the-pops list picture but still are worth mentioning, so I ll post pics some pics of them here as well. Starting off with a line up of Lego Creator 31017 alternates. I am a fan of finding possibilities how to recreate the Creator sets and this tiny set was on my must have list at the beginning of the year. next on is the 31024 with this one I had the most fun. somewhen I also got the 31007 wasn t expecting much from this set but still I've managed to fit 3 alts together then I ve also made 2 new alts from the 31006- the bug rod and the Spaceship on wheels type of concept car ( the other 3 alts are from 2013) some yiiihaaa kind of creation microscale model of my house microscale model of Vidzeme Olympic Center arena Panda's beach house small city layout 1 ( mostly feature sets and a few mocs) small city layout 2 We had a BalticLUG meeting at my house this year and I made an outdoor Crawler track so had to build the Technic#9398 for testing the track first it had a simple 'n bare body mod the 2nd version with lots of panels 'n pieces which in the end turned out to be too heavy for cool driving around and the final version with as few as possible details but still some good looks from Technic to lettering. Here s a piece made for the Part Challenge group at flickr.com which later turned into Coffee ART :D Latlug FB page header pic another Latlug header pic some corporate company logo Riga Fashion Week's logo in sort of brackish interpreation Epic Split funky brickface characters having a chat a couple of alternates one from the monkey creator set and the other from the cat 'n mouse creator set of this year and then this september I was invited to join theTLG's organised Lego City alternate challenge via rebrickable.com here are my models from 60044 set and a 60047 Trick Biker Track and then there are the countless car creations made this year The_Explore, Motte Zora, 31024 Wildcat, Agent Orange, 31007 Truck and Nexus Bobik and Nordic Explorer from left: Motte MV-1, Spektor W3, Agent Orange, 31006 Bug rod and 310124 Formula1 Panda mobile Project_BLACK facing off some city set pickup some psychedelic scene :D Spektor Correra The_KIWI Tail Hammer Motte ZORA 31024 Desert Freak some spaceship alike car and the Panda's spaceship Riga.Steam.Works Machine_1 Solar Panel Driver The_Condor Toyota FJ Cruiser 1967 Ford Mustang GT500 redesigned version of my previously made WV Beetle and here s one selfie :D Thank You for Watching !!!

Hi, in real bricks build a trans light blue piece #98585 from Chima 70131 Rogon's Rock Flinger. In LDD, since I could not get the rubber belt on it I replaced it with something else to have alike looks for the wheels.
