  5. On 7th November Latvian Lego users group hosted an event in Birzgale, Latvia. In the local society center we set up LEGO displays and activity tables. Free of charge entrance meant all local kids could come and enjoy the LEGO fun! Probably the most fun activity was a master-builder class where kids could build the Freedom Monument of Latvia with LEGO bricks. As usual free build table is open for builders of all generations :) Lego Technic display where kids can walk on steps and become part of the display :D Star Wars display. and the largest of all displays- the collaborative CITY layout made by several builders providing their mocs and sets. Video from the event. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDCScGNVwiE more pictures from the event at https://www.flickr.c...633705384/page1

    [MOC] Galaxy Train

I recently got a haul with an incomplete Galaxy Squad 70709 set which features some nice pieces. Getting new pieces in collection always inspires me to see what can I build out of them so I made a Galaxy Squad-ish train locomotive. at latest LATLUG public display at "Kids World 2015" fair in Riga, Latvia during the display there was a crash and it drove off the table but it was fixable within few minutes in comparison to #60052 and a video featuring Galaxy Train in action And btw in case if You are interested the intsructions of Galaxy Train are available at my EBAY store http://www.ebay.com/itm/171753349765 Thanks for Watching!
  8. On the 1st and 2nd August UNICON 2015 cosplay event was held at Riga, Latvia and LATLUG took part in it withLEGO model display and bricks related activities. Organisers of UNICON 2015 had noticed other LATLUG events and invited us to entertain cosplay crowds at their event. We saw this as a great opportunity to spread the word about our hobby and did our best to present the unlimited creative world of LEGO. Table space was't an issue and we were able to set up decent size city display. Lego Technic and Creator/ Model Team vehicles also had a separate table. As well for the first time we arranged a little Star Wars display corner which we are planning to expand in the upcoming events. In the activities section we had a Crawler track with Technic RC TT truck test drive for everyone. Free Build and Speed Build tables . And a spaceship masterclass hosted by Andris where he had done custom instruction manual for and exciting spaceship and everyone could build it. Let's see some pictures! The overall LATLUG area. Lots of LEGO model display showcasing the widespread possibilities of creative world of LEGO. Lego city display with our longest railway so far. This time the city layout was heavily saturated with DC superheros characters. We see the Avengers towers and there were lots of superhero minifigs doing all kinds of actions all around the LATLUG Legocity. Lego Technic and Creator/ Model Team table Star Wars display making fans of the franchise totally excited. TT Crawler test drive area Free build table attracted people of all ages and genders And then there were tons of fun to look at cosplayers who were passing by all the time. and here's a video with trains riding around the city layout at this event http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IZUQdPW10U To see more pictures from this event please visit: https://www.flickr.c...157656657515126 https://www.flickr.c...157656736891285 https://www.flickr.c...157656753414256 Thanks for watching!

  11. This weekend members of BalticLUG ( the united lug of Latlug, Litlug and Estlug) hosted an annual anniversary event at our ambassador's Lukas place in Lithuania. The BalticLUG was founded on 8th June 2013 as a result of Lego CEE department's initiative to get in touch and liven up the afol scene in the Baltic countries. They found builders from this region via. internet and the BalticLUG project was born. There were people building and posting stuff on internet before but the foundation of BalticLUG has lead us to hosting nice Lego related events and spreading the word of this hobby to wider audiences. And each year we're hosting this members only anniversary event. First off, meet the crew and here is a group shot of builders from the Baltic region, persons in the picture from the right: Lukas( in the red T shirt)- the current BalticLUG ambassador, the owner of Enigma Bricks bricklink shop. Lauris- the former BalticLUG ambassador and a fan of building Technic models created by well known talented builders like NKubate, Madoca, Nico71 and others. Rolands- mostly known in the Flickr community as a masterfull and highly detailed model team vehicle builder. Alex- a passionate Technic builder and Eurobricks user, has a vast collection of Technic set and moc creations. Tomass aka. Ramidalis- active Flickr user and builds mainly with system bricks in wide range of themes like modular houses, city, space, etc. Andris aka. TGBDZ- that guy who recently won the Eurobricks Technic C-model contest! Also known at Flickr for his stylish Mechs and Space stuff. Marcis- a hardcore Technic builder, Check out his flickr feed Marcerius_lv to see what awesome Technic projects he has in the making now Peteris- that's me and I'm mainly building a wide variety of stuff with system bricks. Also the one making tons of picture galleries from LUG events. Obviously there are more than 8 builders in our lug but others for some reason could not make it to this event. Crawling has turned into a signature activity we have almost in all LUG meetings Tomass, the designer of the obstacles checking out how other builders cross the track Some serious Technic machinery crossing the track Lauris doing 2 wheel action with the Madoca's designed crawler Marcis getting good crawling results with his machine but this time this section of track proves to be extra difficult another activity we had was a RC track for more speedy technic vehicles next up, discussing the lug matters and sorting out yearly lug support and support for an upcoming event in Latvia also having creator and model team moc expo later in the evening having a bricklink shop tour at Enigma Bricks http://www.bricklink...tore.asp?p=enig where we had a chance to pick up our order last but not least in the evening having a group building of sets We also had some non Lego related fun activities like tasting fantastic local food (and beer) and having a chance to make a paragliding flight. That somehow stayed off the pictures but in good memories :) More pictures from this event can be seen at Latlug's FB feed https://www.facebook.com/LatLUG and Latlug's flickr feed https://www.flickr.c.../111605374@N02/ Cheers, PS

    [MOC] NCS Express

NCS Express stands for NeoClassicSpace Express which describes the style I made this locomotive. Back in the days Lego used to make monorail and train sets with those large windscreens making them look like little spaceships on railway. That is where I got my inspiration for making this model. It has an all neon bright orange windscreen and cubical lines reminiscent of classic Lego style. From technical side it can be powered by the AA or AAA battery boxes, both fit within the body. alongside my other currently assembled train creations Thanks for watching!
