[LEGO Ideas] Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Former Itaria No Shintaku posted a topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ok guys. I know I left eurobricks. But sometimes it's more mature to admit you miss something than to keep your point. Now, to the good part. I've had time, being afar from fights over silly stuff, to build and me and a friend did this. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/f37ee26a-8944-44e1-a29c-573f51bfcbbb/ Took us a lot of time, effort and love as you can see. Please. We really, really need your help to make our little dream come true. Bring us to the 10k club. You have this power, I have not. I was able to gather 722 votes in 3 days, so I'm really starting to believe this can be real. But it can't work without your love and help. You can support, you can leave a comment and you can also share this to increase our chances. I want to believe. Do believe with me, will you guys?- 5 replies

Best Lego Ideas projects
Former Itaria No Shintaku replied to Trekkie99's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would really love you guys to support me. This project has all my heart in it. Reaching 10k with your help, though I'm partly gone from this community, would mean so much for me. Really, you don't even manage to know how this would be touching. Please, leave me your support and share this with your friends. I think... I just earned some of your respect during those ten years. So... help me. Thanks. -
I’m sorry to see you leave here. I really enjoyed reading your posts throughout Eurobricks. I hope all is going well with you in your future.
Best of luck, DBlegonerd7

PRESS RELEASE: 10276 – LEGO® Colosseum
Former Itaria No Shintaku replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Special LEGO Themes
No problem dude. I'm leaving Eurobricks. After more than 10 years. I can't stay on the same place of someone who says that I defecate and spew diarrhea from my mouth and goes away with that. Sometimes I thought "When will I become ArchDuke"? Instead my post count stops at 2652. (Edited: I did a last more post to say farewell) I met some terrific people here, people that I have on whatsapp and who I talk to regularly. But seems that everything that has a beginning, has and end too. Farewell. -
PRESS RELEASE: 10276 – LEGO® Colosseum

I agree. There is one step that has to be repeated 200x (I saw a picture on Facebook about this very thing). I mean, I would really get tired after the first 30 40 repetions, let alone 200! I believe LEGO would not produce a lot of these ones, because with $500 you can buy better things. I can understand a purchase of this from someone having the Tour Eifferl, the Taj Mahal and so on. They may have a lot of interest into buying this. But apart from people who are following that collection, I really think they should have done it reducing the scale by 50% (and thus probably the pieces by 1/8). -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion
Former Itaria No Shintaku replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
This is correct. Wheter the figs are leaked from China or Mexico factories, they just aren't yet in their bags,so no leaflet. Sometimes the workers are even not entirely able to re compose the minifigure correctly as we've seen in the past, some leaked with wrong heads, wrong parts and so on. So, all we can do is wait, but it is very likely that we're close to know. -

OF course a shade between white and tan would have worked. I seem unable to attach pictures now, but It is not white, #FFFFFF but LEGO's tan is #CCB98D Coliseum actual color is something more like #FFEECC -

And this is a Dunning-Kruger effect. One that has lived in Rome for 39 years has a solid opinion, more than one that one who lives in the States. It's like being ill and asking both a doctor and a car mechanic. The car mechanic can have his opinion, but one is more reliable than another. If we're talking about someone who's ill, even if I have my opinion, I would never try to contradict a doctor. Who does, falls on the Dunning-Kruger effect. The Colosseum is absolutely not tan, even if from some pictures with some light it looks like. But if that is, I think the color may be aslo green, because I googled this picture: (that was meant to honour the Irish for St.Patrick's day) It's not that if you're able to google, then you know stuff. You don't know stuff. You just know how to google those. That's not the same thing. -

Ok so you took pictures in which it may look tan. But... My point is: I've been living there for 39 years, may I know which color actually the Colosseum is? Or do I have to be taught by someone who has maybe seen it a couple of times? I really find this ridicoulous. If you want to buy it, buy it. That's something like the Colosseum, that's probably a 80% close resembrance. Good for the people who like it. May I say that I don't like it or shoudl I stick to your opinion because you force me to? May I be a lot more disappointed than other people since this is the main Monument of my birthcity and they did what I believe is a mess? If a parisien says me he is disappointed on how the Tour Eiffel looks like, I would listen carefully for his opinion instead of posting random pictures took with the wrong light that try clumsy to prove tha he's wrong. Then, if you want to keep on fighting on it, do it alone, I'm not here not to drag people out of their delusions, nor to create a flame on this. I thougt that some people would have used an educated opinion on the matther, turns out I was wrong. So, over with this for me. -
