[MINI] Lawn Tractor
Boulderer replied to Eraman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great styling on this MOC. I love the green / yellow colour scheme. I hope someone can produce a model in that scheme for your entry. I've looked at the big brother and I really like that model -
SBrick General Discussion
Boulderer replied to Nofer89's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I too would really like to use the SBrick for control of displays. Though currently that would mean displays of Technic so, I just checked Technic as the main use. I like the idea of animating other themes though ... controlling the lighting on City displays could be interesting.- 761 replies

Fast RC crawler - 4XL motor
Boulderer replied to Tamas Juhasz's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow! You weren't kidding about the lightweight chassis. As said by others ... weird looks but, looks like great fun. And, at 200 odd parts, really quick to put together. I wonder if an L motor version would work?- 18 replies

[MOC] Ferrari 250GT California - 50,000 Pieces
Boulderer replied to Ape Fight's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'd take a guess that even his leftovers would amount to more than most of us can claim to own As to the software, are there packages out there that will do that kind of conversion? I can imagine something could "pixelate" a 3D model, which would be a good start to getting the scaling and stud counts pretty accurate. I'm not familiar with a package that actually does this though. -
Its a cutthroat world in the superhero business, even Bruce Wayne needs sponsors to help cover expenses, in these modern times

That is stunning! I'd love to see his workshop and his stock of pieces -
Still waiting for mine to arrive from S@H. I'd expected it to have arrived by now

[MINI] Combine Harvester

I really like this build! I bought the 8274 recently, and this would look great next to it as it's "mini me" -
Am I correct in thinking that the people having the problems are all State side?

I've always wanted to see an AC that had the daily mini builds designed to be combined into one larger build. Now that would be a creative challenge that I'd think TLC would revel in

I like this! I feel a building session approaching this evening -
I too have only ever had positive experiences with Lego Customer Service. In fact, they have usually gone above and beyond expectations when I've dealt with them. As such, I'd agree with TheLegGodt in that something must have got lost in translation, or the vastness of cyberspace. Abusing the system would be very bad form, and I would hope that they would do more than just blank someone, if they suspected such a sin. A brick blight on the culprit's collection, from the Lego Gods, perhaps? :)

Hi, I'd be interested to know if anyone has noticed any issues with embrittlement of the pieces after exposure to the cleaning agents? I've got a lot of yellowed bricks but, I'd rather them be yellowed and in one piece than white and broken :)

Vote Poll: Which do you prefer type of battery for power function LEGO
Boulderer replied to Deafpilotboy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Another point to note, is that the power LED is in a different location on the rechargeable battery pack. The trains I have seen, are designed with the AAA pack in mind, which means the rechargeable power LED doesn't match up with the switch assembly, making it difficult to tell if it's switched on. -
I generally look at £10/kg (€13/kg) for bulk. This would generally go higher for lots with more specialized pieces, e.g. technic. As said earlier, genuine Lego and clean can have a big influence on what you'll get. The thought of selling "all of it" definitely sends a chill down the spine!

I have a similar approach to this. I'll pick up job lots and get the sets, or pieces that I need, reselling the remainder. No real profit other than the Lego I wanted. And who doesn't enjoy sorting through a random lot of Lego to see what's there? :)
