The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
GallardoLU replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
40 years of star wars, the question is do they do a set based on old films like they like doing, or do they do a set based on new films. honestly my money is on a New First Order Star Destroyer, or a much requested Cloud City (not a play city as much as a display city) -
it would be really nice/cool if the lego group could release the instructions for canceled sets. I imagine a few had gotten to that stage of development before being canned. of course not all did and would require new work on a dead product so highly unlikely.

2016 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion
GallardoLU replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Town
OK, after looking these over for a few days i have come to the same conclusion as many of you, the Le Mans cars are what I'm after primarily the 917 / 919. and a huge part of me wants to keep the set as released by Lego, but at the same time i really want to modify it to scale better to my Ford GT40 i built with the smaller wheels and fenders. looks like I'll be brick-linking those stickers and the canopy piece. that said the only car i really don't care for is the Mustang, so as terrifying as it is to say i think i may end up getting this whole wave (even the mustang cause well why not at that point right?) and seeing the euro prices just confirms the early speculation prices which aren't to bad at all. now when can i buy these :) -
ok, so there are "gates" at certain XP ranges (the 100-125 section as you mentioned) that require other SoNE builds to reach (although having now done the math, all one would need is that extra 15 to hit 100xp, and they would be able to only do bounty missions and eventually complete them all. Also you mention getting a perfect score to get the 5xp, while the rules state "For each Bounty Hunter Mission you complete, you will earn 5XP." that sure reads as 5xp guaranteed on completion/approval.

picked up the rally car, aside from the ridiculous wing on the back its a great little car, I did remove the raised rear on it so now it rides level (more like a real rally car) I'll probably mod it a bit and after the new years I might grab 1 or 2 more (I want more of those printed light covers!)

couldn't agree more with the content, I've only built a couple micro builds and mounts so far, take a look at my MOC pages if you care to see. (I've also tried several times for to do the bounty hunter ship, but my perfectionism keeps making me scrap it)I will keep your guild in mind, I have a trooper currently in a guild but if that should change I'd be happy to join you.

so, follow up question, a player could in theory only do these bounty hunter missions and eventually complete them all correct?

it would seem you are in or entering into the upper levels of AFOL'ness I wouldn't say its common for someone to have a backlog of unbuilt sets (unless they are a reseller) but its not exactly rare either. and yeah i'd say its much the same thing as your "GAS" where you buy things you don't need or really want but the deal is too god to pass up. also could be a bit of PS (Pokesyndrome: Gotta buy em all) going on, which is my normal issue.

Help with identifying parts/sets!
GallardoLU replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
cant be sure on the exact set, but there where codes like this on several Lego movie sets, the codes could be used to unlock things in the Lego Movie video games. for example, Rescue Reinforcements had a red 1x4 brick with similar code http://brickset.com/sets/70813-1/Rescue-Reinforcements (its on the fire truck mech) -
Wow! this is a amazing build, very clean and I love the studded look. you mention the scale is different, is BB-8 large compared to the R2 set (I assume so given he is much smaller than R2) still very awesome

well as has been said we don't know your wife, BUT what I do know is my Wife :) and although I wouldn't say she is an AFOL she does have her own sets, All of which are Creator houses. so if she is anything like mine she will like it. Just don't be like me and try to help her build it if she doesn't want your help (I have a bad habit of trying to do things for others if I think they are taking too long)

can you provide a photo of this? I've heard nothing of the sort, and by the sounds of it that is quite a huge error.

although the pieces in question are printed I do want to point out that the Ferrari F40 had a sticker for the 1x1 round tile used on the steering wheel.

Future of LDD: Next Lego Digital Designer Update?
GallardoLU replied to minchellabrick's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
for reference, Lego Universe had building spaces on it, and although you could not import models from LDD to LU, the opposite worked very easily. the game used .lxf files for models on properties (the building space) and those were saved locally on your own PC, all you had to do was find them in the data folders and you could open them straight into LDD. I hope Lego worlds has something just as simple in mind.
