The difference is Lego have friction standards that they follow, along with guarantees on parts. these Counterfeit and third party manufactures do not, and don't care how long something lasts. and it's that reason that Lego very rarely have clear parts connecting directly to other clear parts, the combined friction is far higher than standard parts in the same setup.

2016 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion

came across this article as well. http://pop-critica.com/lego-announces-new-speed-champions-cars/ several final product advertisement images (all sets) -
Could use a parts suggestion, please.

First thing that comes to mind is maybe try the snow board. I know it is longer, but the bottom is far smoother, and easier to build from. -

March lego challenger proves March 1st date for all Speed Champion sets: -
I am fairly sure arealight produces trans parts (including a curved/female trans clear body (link: http://www.arealightcustoms.com/shop/Trans-Clear/)

I wouldn't be surprised if the final Technic Porsche set makes it's reveal at Geneva. But according to Ford, their sets will be available march first (before Geneva). Which unless they have some extra special arraignment, would mean all the sets should be available before Geneva. at the same time though Lego does need to reach car fans so doing an announcement of sorts saying "Available Now" on all the remaining sets would probably gain them quite a few more sales. -

I know it technic, but we are car guys here, so link to brickset page with new Porsche GT3 technic set: http://brickset.com/...-technic-images EDIT: I guess I was late to the party on that, eurobricks thread with lots more views/info: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=120399 -
generally people post other pictures, and give text hints. or depending on length of time reveal the answer.

Looks like a speeder bike, probably with a scout trooper riding

I just read about another theory that Rey is in fact Anakin re-incarnate. the theory is a bit wild but honestly rather sound too. I still subscribe to Occam's Razor of theories with Rey being Luke's child, but its fun exploring other theories too. (a goggle search will provide you with all of the re-incarnation details)

some people like to pre sort everything, this makes the build itself quick, but overall time can be quite long (specially for large sets as sorting pieces can take a lot of room). I have in the past opened multiple sets into 1 pile and then given instructions to myself and wife. we then build from the pile which is quite fun since we often fight over the same parts when a certain one becomes harder to find. and just cause the thought popped into my head, you could try building with just 1 hand, I imagine that would be quite comical and challenging too.

custom release or not I will have to clone that car later (when I can get my hands on enough black fenders) though it will never have those awesome rims.... I hate that Lego does special one off models in this theme for people, least they could do is make custom ones that we can recreate, instead of unique parts/colors :/ EDIT: I do like the use of the new Nexu knights shield as an intake cover, very nicely done! -
Help with identifying parts/sets!

I want to say that isn't Lego, but I've not come across a part like that before. my gut says Mattel/Mega Bloks. -
Ok, seems Mr. Samsonite is absent, anyone else want to go?

I'm with Malgus, although there are things in books that have been made everything (aside from the battle pack unnamed vehicles) has had a visual source be it a game, tv show, or movie. and I expect that will remain true. also keep in mind Disney hasn't said the old EU is gone, its now a Legend, and Legends are just stories that may or may not be true, which is exactly what Disney is using the old EU for. everything has a chance to become canon (obviously the movie has already knocked a lot of the post EP VI stuff down, but not all) EDIT: I realize we are getting off topic again, lets turn our focus back onto the sets, and not the validity of possible source materials.

Bricks cracking... just from being connected to one another?
GallardoLU replied to Endgame's topic in General LEGO Discussion
just as an educational note on the plastics. Fred67 is right that the main plastic is just a basic clear/white pellet, the color additives are also small pellets. these have to be mixed while being melted, if the heats get too high the plastic degrades, to cold and it doesn't flow properly. fortunately that's the easier part of the process, once the temps are in range the mixing has to go as planed to get the proper color. then the part is injected into the mold under extreme pressures. the mold is also the first stage cooling unit, and where a good part can be ruined. if the cooling is too slow the part comes out partially molten and will stick to any other plastic nearby, usually ruining multiple parts. if its too fast the part becomes brittle and in some cases cracks immediately. a balance must be found to produce the parts as fast as possible, while getting the plastic melted right, mixed right, and cooled right. it doesn't take much at all to push a batch out of the good zones and into either of the other bad zones. and with plants trying to produce more and more the time allotted to each machine cycle shortens and pushes things ever closer to a bad part in one way or another. -

Important info on that Ford Instagram. "Available March 1st" while the German Catalog had April listed. seems that either only the ford sets will be early, or the USA will get access to the sets a month early. -
personally I use light bluish grey as sidewalk, and dark as wet sidewalk/fresh cement.

It also closely resembles the Thranta Class corvettes used in the SWTOR era. maybe even a bit more so than the older hammerhead class. either way if Lego makes one of those i'll have to buy several! (always been a big fan of the Endar Spire, and similar ships)EDIT: however having now looked at those prelim images, it to me looks like a modified and blackened 75025 Jedi Defender-Class cruiser

fun review, and this reminds me the sand crawler is roughly (nearly perfect) in scale with the Heroica, and other Lego game microfigs. it really give a sense of immense scale once you place one of those near it.

[MOC] [WIP] The Command of the AT-AT
GallardoLU replied to LiLmeFromDaFuture's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm with Kris on the 24 tooth inside the turntable, this looks like it can give many options of position while maintaining a fixed angle at the shoulder. the only downside is that any angle change will require taking the leg all the way off temporarily. and given the size and weight I would recommend making a support structure for to hold the walker up while making your changes. (in fact this could be done in a way to make it look like an AT-AT manufacturing facility for a second display setup -
not sure I trust that video, perhaps set names are correct and pricing is relatively close. but many of those images were mocs by various people including Marcus's AT-AT base, which the video poster claims as his own.

The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
GallardoLU replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A UCS Land Speeder (Luke's X-34) would be a great choice too. It is after all the only vehicle Luke uses not yet in UCS form.
